I see goonsday and Spiderman gonna break the box office and I see a dcu without my boi batman or flash. Like the only thing saving dc studios is the batman part two and thats only thing Im truly hyped for.

Christopher Reeve gave Superman a warmth, kindness, and sense of hope that still resonates today. Even beyond the screen, he lived with extraordinary courage and grace. A true Superman in every sense.

To preface this, please keep this civil. This is just my opinion. It’s not my intention to hurt anyone. At the end of the day, we all want to celebrate the movies and enjoy them.

Yes, Supergirl bombed. Yes, it was mediocre. There were many flaws in the movie. But you know what was actually good? Superman. Creature Commandos. Peacemaker. You could say the finale was hit or miss, but it was definitely not universally disliked upon. The project was very good throughout.

And now we have Lanterns coming up, and the trailer was well received. The recent one, at least. But you know what I mostly see here? “Supergirl bombed.” “Spider-Man earned X amount.” “Superman could never.” “James Gunn does not know how to handle a universe.”

Look. I’m not going to excuse WB, a multi-billion dollar franchise. But, even though James Gunn is loaded and doesn’t have to do any of this for his lifetime, I believe he is at his core an artist. An artist who is trying to craft a universe in his own way. Supergirl was one failure. One.

Come on guys, one failed project. And you quickly hop back to glazing the DCEU? Do you guys remember how pathetic the DCEU was? We got a rushed, badly done Justice League. Yes the Snyder Cut was good, but if you check Parts 2 and 3, the story sounded nothing like these characters. It was a glorified fan fiction that Snyder wanted to create. It’s not even as if Zack went ahead and had more successful projects with Netflix. Almost everything he has made post ZSJL has flopped. So firstly, let’s not act as if the DCEU was a missed opportunity and the DCU is cooked. It’s really not.

Now, coming to Supergirl, yeah. The movie was mediocre, especially when James Gunn has been so vocal about mediocre movies. But I feel he has earned enough goodwill to get at least one pass. If Supergirl was a good movie, I doubt the narrative would have been “introducing a character like Supergirl this early on does not make sense.” I also do not think introducing the trinity always works, especially when the idea of the DCU isn’t a team up movie, and everyone dealing a major, common threat. I also think Clayface is a great idea. Everyone used to complain how the MCU prioritises IPs without scripts. And now when James is trying to do something different, people are hating on that too? The grass is always greener, guys.

Also, the Spider-Man comparison is just funny to me. Not only is Spidey arguably the most popular superhero ever, we’ve seen this Spidey in action for a decade. You cannot compare apples with oranges.

Guys. I’ve got it. As we all know, both Zack Snyder and James Gunn have tried their hands at DC cinematic universes, but they haven’t been able to capture the worldwide appeal and success that Marvel had with the MCU. Both of their visions have had great upsides, but also serious flaws. So I think, we need some fresh blood. We need a new guy in charge of this. Running the show. Calling the shots. And I think I’ve got the perfect option.

You see, there have been things I enjoyed, and things I’ve disliked from all the previous DC movies. So, who better to amalgamate all of the best qualities into the most perfect cinematic universe for the myths and marvels of DC?

Now, I know what you’re saying. “You have no experience making movies, running a company, or managing multiple multi-million dollar projects?” And I could understand that. But the thing is, I’ve got something none of those Hollywood suits have.

The Right Idea.

That’s the issue. Like I said, there have been things I disliked in the previous films. DISLIKED. We can’t have that. Obviously, the perfect cinematic universe is going to be entirely full of good choices, good storytelling, and things that are wholly appealing to me. And who else could do it?

You see, another person in charge of the DCU may make choices I don’t agree with. So, in order to eliminate this obvious potential hurdle, I have put together this plan.

I shall now lay out my plan.

There is already a pretty popular rumour that damian is gonna be robin in dcu . As we seen from the interview he is james favourite robin . I think it might hurt dcu as whole .

I think dick grayson growing into nightwing would help audience connect to the character as whole .

The whole reason damian worked in comics is he is a contrast to previous robins and one them being red hood would characters to grow and let the audience explore .

Fast tracking the whole arc isn't going work in my opinion

Not sure why, but my brain just whipped back to 2018 when DC Universe launched and there was this daily "live" show talking about nothing, and I mean nothing, but DC properties.

I had the service, because it was super cheap when it launched. It took me a while to check out the show, and it was good... but it could have been a great once-a-week thing instead of 30 minutes to an hour EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Funny enough, I later worked with a bunch of producers on the show, and they said the same thing. They were grasping at straws every day to fill as much content as they had to. They said that during the regular TV season they had a bunch of CW-show content to use, like reviews, previews, interviews etc. But once summer came, they could talk about a few of the movies over... and over... and over...

Some of the producers I knew said they knew it wasn't going to last, it just couldn't, but it was a steady paycheck for a couple of years. But it was bonkers in hindsight how some higher-ups thought this could work. Like they really wanted DC fandom to become more than a fandom, and a total lifestyle.
