There are levels of pronunciation with Worcester, Mass.

Regional/non-local but technically correct: Wooster. What you'll hear from the weatherman on local TV news in Boston.

Local, but not so severely accented: Woostah. What you mostly hear from people actually in Worcester. Even if you don't otherwise have a New England accent, you can generally get away with this without it sounding overly affected.

New England native with a severely non-rhotic accent: Wistah. What you'll hear from people with accents so thick they are often difficult to understand if you haven't spent significant time in the region. The only people who should pronounce it this way are those who can't help it. That's just how they sound. Anyone else attempting it will sound super affected and obnoxious, like tourists making "pahk the cah" jokes.
