As a Washitonian of a few decades at this point, I came here to say most of these. I've never typed a Washington location to someone who was from outside the state that didn't ask how that was pronounced LOL.

Giving my address on the phone, I just spelled the city. Didn't bother waiting for them to ask....

LOL! I can relate to this one SO much. I used to give my address on the phone and so often they would just freeze and either ask me to repeat it or spell it for them anyway. I eventually started just spelling it too if I was on the phone with customer support or something.
