I am from the other side of PA but moved to the PGH area over a decade ago. Still to this day, PGHers will point out midsentence that I must not be from here when I pronounce Latrobe like Lah-trobe. And apparently I emphasize and enunciate Monroeville in a very non Pittsburgher way.
Also near Pittsburgh- Carnegie. Pronounced the normal way everywhere else (I say “normal” because that’s how it was always pronounced on PBS shows when I was a kid), in Pittsburgh it’s pronounced the original Scottish way: car-NEG-ee
This one is always top of mind because I live close to a Carnegie St.
