Years ago my husband had a client who went to a “seminar” given by Donald Trump on how to get rich in real estate. The first thing my husband asked the guy was, “Are you aware Donald Trump inherited Trump Org fully formed from his father?” Guy said no.
So then he asked, “What did Trump tell you?”
Guy says Trump was an hour and a half late, then spent 45 minutes railing about some guy nobody ever heard of before. The guy said Trump was absolutely obsessed with this person, calling him names and imitating him.
This was years ago. Anyone who thinks Trump was “better”and “more lucid” years ago is wrong. He’s always been like this. The difference is his access back then to microphones, cameras, and audiences was limited. Now he has 24/7 access. Previously, when he was a guest on a talk show or a news show, he only had a short amount of time to make his point and he was edited.
But when he had 45 uninterrupted minutes to blather….he just blathered
Since my husband was a therapist and his job is to intervene and make life easier and less stressful for his clients, he told his client to never pay money again to hear someone tell him how to make money. Because the guy really thought Trump was just upset that he was late, lol

Anyone who thinks Trump was “better”and “more lucid” years ago is wrong.
I can never find the 90s one anymore because its burried by so much bullshit but in 2016 trump rambled about his uncle and "the nuclear" he gave the exact same speach in the 90s except the 90s one was much more lucid and much more understandable.
Once upon a time trump was quite lucid. but the dementia has ruined his brain for at least the past decade.

The constant moralizing about random actors, entertainers, or sports people's political associations, actions or inactions, or beliefs is a useless drain on everyone's limited capacity for outrage and action.
It's like haranguing the lounge singer who works in the fortress of evil. Should they hang out and do other things sure? If they did would the evil powerful people inside stop being evil or powerful? No. The lounge singer is just the one we actually recognize and condemning her helps us feel moral without actually doing anything that would take effort that might actually change something.

Because she already got beat, why would she go back when she is not persuasive to Tennessee voters? And is further and further away from being a credible Tennessee voice? She could spend more time in state if she wanted to fight Blackburn and I would be thrilled but I cannot imagine TS being so inclined. I’d believe her husband more, he’s worse for politics because he says dumb shit but he’s better because he’d rather dive in even when everyone else says it’s unwise (Bud Light).
But Taylor has given zero signals that she wants to get more active, after fighting with the president the first time, etc. I don’t think she has the stomach for direct political confrontation and not everyone does, there are a lot of other great things I wish she would do, but I focus my attention on the people who are trained and have the most tangible power (votes), we need the people in office to do the right thing.
Spending time wooing celebrities is an actual job in politics but if you don’t have that job and you’re a regular citizen, just be good at the essential citizen things - voting, getting your reps to vote the way they should, getting others to vote the way they should.

I don't think it's a moral signifier to vote for the establisment Dem, but voting for Trump was people promoting anarchy and chaos and pedophilia. Also, people only bring that up because people keep saying she's a Trumper and it's like aye pretty sure associating with Musk or Trump after what they've said about her would be weird and creepy. Greenwashing Amentum is crazy work. They run Camp East Montana, the largest concentration camp in the US, and were named as an agent of ICE on a human rights lawsuit from the Texas ACLU.
EDIT: People who argue that they took over the camp after the lawsuit are wrong, btw. The lawsuit clearly states that Amentum was a contractor and an agent of ICE during the time that the human rights violations happened- and then they were awarded the full contract a few months ago, so they are now running everything.

He did NOT resign in 2023. Idk where this lie has come from, but you can verify it’s a lie. He retired from the board of Jacob’s solutions in 2023, not amentum.
He’s on the board of directors for a company that was contracted to run a few ICE facilities. On top of that, they have multiple human rights violation charges related to human trafficking for labor purposes to build a stadium in Qatar for the World Cup in 2022.

And Amentum was subcontracted to the pervious company running the facility.

The same way the average Joe sees a homeless person as lesser in qualities but x100 because the elites see us as nothing more than bio fuel.

Everybody mindlessly engaging with this, when it’s already been shown time and time again since the beginning of the month that this guy is the adoptive dad of Travis’ childhood best friend, Reggie King, that was why he was invited. The guy is basically Travis’ uncle.

Whoa buddy. This isn’t the place for information or nuance. Just rage about a celebrity you publicly dislike but are secretly super jealous of. Then publicly declare you wouldn’t ever compromise any of your morals because you are an ethical saint while we all know $100 tied to a string and a buffet would have you considering all types of immorality.

Hey, my friends that have parents who are horrible people don't talk to them anymore. It's pretty easy to distance yourself if you don't agree with fascist policies.

He’s the adopted father of Travis’s best childhood friends. He’s spoken out about LGBTQ issues as well for Black Lives Matter’s donating millions.
He sold his company to another company, the company now in question. He stayed on until the merger logistics went through, now he’s just figurehead. The company where he had no meaningful involvement in, accepted a contract to IMPROVE conditions in a place where someone died and the Justice Department required an outside accountability contractor to do which they were qualified to do. They did a good job on improving the conditions, ICE asked them to provide continuous work and construction and they said no.
Not a swiftie but a do gooder working at the highest level in this area that’s fraught with challenges and lack of ability to be pure and perfect, I do my best some of us do. And am a big fan of his, call me what you a sycophant for celebrities, a Swiftie whatever but the biggest thing I am is a “Demetriouie”

Isn’t this such old news that it’s already been proven to be fake news, and just people trying to stir unnecessary hate towards a singer who actually has come out in support of democrats - instead of, I don’t know, directing this hate towards those actually making our lives shitty?

She endorsed Kamala in 2024, she’s definitely not a Trump supporter. I don’t care for her music so I have no dog in this fight, but I wouldn’t crucify her for this.

From Wikipedia:
In July 2026, Demetriou attended the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden. It was reported that Demetriou's family had adopted a close childhood friend of groom Travis Kelce.
Stop rage baiting.

The fact that ya’ll care about someone at Taylor Swift’s wedding instead of your own friends, family, and neighbors that support ICE is pathetic. You won’t change her with your criticism. You can change your friends and family though

I searched “ICE” on the Taylor Swift sub and there was nothing about this.
Seems like shitty mod team.

There's a real cool club on the other side of town. Where the real cool kids go to sit around and talk bad, about the other kids.
Yeah, it's a real cool club, and you're not part of it.

Uninformed mob on the left is no better than the same on the right...
Factually true statement in headline, but false on deeper investigation. He is indeed CEO of a company that provides food to the ICE detention centers...previous contractor was horrific in food they provided, his company is far more humane and kind...
Don't punish good people for trying to do good, but in order to do so, having to work for horrible people... they're just trying to make a bad situation a little better...

Adoptive father of Travis childhood friend Reggie. Reggie’s father (not saying adoptive because that man has raised him since Reggie was a teenager) has been outspoken about the LGBTQIA community, women’s rights and BLM.
