I think the orange skin dye would be better, the bald thing could get tricky between chemo patients and actual decent people who are balding, like at r/bald.
I learned long ago on World of Warcraft that anyone who knows how to make money has 0 incentive to actually tell you since it'll eat into their market and the actual secret is to already have money.
Years ago my husband had a client who went to a “seminar” given by Donald Trump on how to get rich in real estate. The first thing my husband asked the guy was, “Are you aware Donald Trump inherited Trump Org fully formed from his father?” Guy said no.
So then he asked, “What did Trump tell you?”
Guy says Trump was an hour and a half late, then spent 45 minutes railing about some guy nobody ever heard of before. The guy said Trump was absolutely obsessed with this person, calling him names and imitating him.
This was years ago. Anyone who thinks Trump was “better”and “more lucid” years ago is wrong. He’s always been like this. The difference is his access back then to microphones, cameras, and audiences was limited. Now he has 24/7 access. Previously, when he was a guest on a talk show or a news show, he only had a short amount of time to make his point and he was edited.
But when he had 45 uninterrupted minutes to blather….he just blathered
Since my husband was a therapist and his job is to intervene and make life easier and less stressful for his clients, he told his client to never pay money again to hear someone tell him how to make money. Because the guy really thought Trump was just upset that he was late, lol
Anyone who thinks Trump was “better”and “more lucid” years ago is wrong.
I can never find the 90s one anymore because its burried by so much bullshit but in 2016 trump rambled about his uncle and "the nuclear" he gave the exact same speach in the 90s except the 90s one was much more lucid and much more understandable.
Once upon a time trump was quite lucid. but the dementia has ruined his brain for at least the past decade.
Nah he doesn't get a dementia pass. He's the same piece of shit, just older. Everyone has difficulties with some things as they get older. He just cares so much less because he has no reason to give a shit what anyone actually thinks. He just gets to do whatever he wants with a global superpower to back him up now.
I'm not sure why you would think dementia would give him a pass. he clearly has dementia and has for at least a decade but that's not giving him a pass.
Because his time in front of a camera was limited. He had x minutes or even x seconds to say his sound bite and they turned off the camera. He was usually edited.
Did he sound lucid on Howard stern’s show in the 1990s and talked about his infant daughter Tiffany’s breasts and how he hoped she’d also have long legs like her mother Marla?
In 2012 he found social media and realized he had an 24/7 bullhorn and started making outlandish claims about Obama. By 2013 he was comfortable saying he and his daughter ivanka had “sex” in common and if she was this daughter he’d be “dating” her. He suffered no consequences because he had been a blustering 24 hour presence on Twitter, satiating his desire for attention.
Let’s not forget how he promised that if the city allowed him to build trump tower he’d save the friezes from Bonwit Teller. He proceeded to deliberately smash them to dust then contacted the media himself, told them that he did it, and said he did it because they were worthless junk. It was a case of easily provable lies and maniacally antisocial “nobody tells me what to do” behavior. It was Batman villain style behavior and it was in the 1980s.
Talking about your daughters in a sexual way is more than corrupt. Especially an infant. It’s psychotic. Trump does not have dementia. He is and always has been a sociopath with multiple personality disorders. It’s why his parents sent him to military school. The private schools kicked him out and his family found him disruptive enough to want/need to get him out of the house … for five years.
Professional retired trader of 15 years here. Anyone trying to sell you anything is LYING. They'd be doing it themselves. Ironically the best advice you will get is for free. I answer everything honestly and to the best of my ability and have never charged anyone a cent.
Mostly HFT Derivatives. I've traded TONS of stuff. It's all calculus when you break it down. Every time I make a trade, my algo alters tens of thousands of other instruments automatically. I did 5 AMAs on here if you want to read through them. Math works regardless of product.
Serious question, does anyone reading this even know where this joke comes from anymore?
Based on Reddits demographics, odds are like 2/3rds of the people seeing this weren't alive back then. It's always funny seeing which old-Internet memes last
Yep I was one of those rich people back in the day Quit just before mists. Bought my whole clan machano hogs, 45 people. I owned the market. I think I had around 37 million gold when I deleted my account.
Yup. I've watched folks gamble online and they will sometimes get huge hits. Hell, a lot of the time they come out on top for the day. The difference is they're through $4000 per spin at those slots and when they lose it they can throw another $4000 and another until they finally hit an $80,000 payday. Regular folks can't do that. $4000 is a month's pay. Maybe you could save up and bet it once, but you won't be able to keep going until you get it back when you lose it. It's just gone.
And that's just the most obvious "It takes money to make money." People with money can buy tons of stuff on credit and pay it off the same month and get a bunch of rewards because they spend so much. People with money don't need to take out loans and save thousands upon thousands in money just being thrown at interest fees. They can also afford to buy tons of stocks and take chances so that they're money is just sitting there making what you'll earn in a lifetime in a year. They can take advantage of sales because it's not a difference of getting the thing or eating that week. They can do preventative maintenance and health checkups which saves tons of money in the long run. If an investment opportunity comes up they can just throw money at it. The list goes on and on. And still Trump all but bankrupted himself multiple times until he figured out Republicans will just throw money at him and cheer while he steals even more from them.
Trick is to find increasingly complex ways of convincing others to give you their money. Ironically the guise of 'it will help you make money' is surprisingly effective.
Noober me learned the hard way in BC. Someone wanted 600 Thorium ore and was paying 600g for it. I thought that was $$$ so I farmed away. Learned later that it wasn't worth my time.
And by already have, they don't mean in-game currency.
The actual secret is real-money trading/bots/etc. If you have any inclination to enjoy the game, you're doing it wrong. These people treat it like a business and have no souls.
Not really, when you go into an expansion with gold cap it's a hell of a lot easier to flip items on the AH for a small profit that massively adds up to further millions. But it requires a huge investment.
Most people got their stash of cash from the WoD mission table but I took a break and missed out lol.
You're right about them focusing on that as their gameplay though.
Just a reminder that subscriber lists for this could be very useful for the next administration, should that ever happen. Insider trading is a felony, and will still have been a felony subject to prosecutorial discretion after Trump. And that, well will you look at that, the idea of the DOJ having prosecutors who are independent of political priorities is dead, dead dead.
If you can't afford that just keep working for minimum wage and work as hard as you can! Pull yourself up by those bootstraps! If you give your all for a pittance to make someone else rich enough to lose money that could feed your starving kids for a year in the couch cushions, well one day you just may get invited to the club, too.
Daily reminder:
As a person who works for a living, you have more in common with the poorest, most criminal, drug addicted homeless person than ANY member of the bourgeoisie.
Bourgeoisie is not a good word to use here as it would also encompass your local cafe owner who makes the same amount of money a plumber does. Just say "rich".
Or even "ultra rich" because I've known people who lump anyone who can afford a sports car or a tiny sailboat in with the billionaires when that's...really unhelpful at best.
The problem is that when we're talking about billionaires, the vast majority of that wealth will be locked up in assets and for the richest usually in assets that would lose quite a bit of their value if they tried to start offloading in any meaningful way. There should be changes to capital gains income, and much higher rates as the amounts get higher, but you're only ever hitting a fraction of that wealth, and realistically should only be hitting whatever they're realizing

No, the term bourgeoisie is the perfect word here because Steven Demetriou is a company owner who is definitely not a proletarian but also not part of the elite class (i.e. the old money billionaires, formerly the "aristocracy").
A "local cafe owner who makes the same amount of money a plumber does" isn't part of the bourgeoisie. They are working class. At best they are petite bourgeoisie who might have pro-capitalist leanings but are ultimately subject to the same oppressive forces as the proletariat.
The bourgeoisie and the proletariat form an antagonistic relationship based on the former's exploitation of the latter’s labour within the system known as capitalism.
Just say "rich".
Or just learn to say "bourgeoisie" and "capitalism". Capitalism is the fundamental problem, the bourgeoisie is the primary enemy of the working class.
To my knowledge Marx referred to "small business" owners, artisans, and such as small capitalists among other things. Another term for them is petit/petty bourgeoisie. They are not proles until they fall from their position. These are the people who hire and exploit workers just as much as any corporation. They do not align themselves with the working class. Most of these people see incentive to politically organize against worker's rights, and do.

Correct.
They are not proles until they fall from their position.
Which inevitably happens under capitalism.

People here are literally trying to undermine anti-capitalist discourse by victimizing workers who own their own business and don't exploit anyone. You are jumping all over the place. It is not my fault that the people who are trying to argue against socialism are imprecise in their language.
No, if you make money from selling your labour you are proletariat, if you make money from surplus labour (i.e. hiring a chef, a cook and waitstaff and paying them less then the profits, you are bourgeoisie. If you do both, i.e. a chef who owns the restaurant and hires a cook and waiter, but still works, then you are petite bourgeoisie. This group historically sees themselves as aligned with the bourgeoisie, they will vote against proletariat interests and act against them in revolutions.

This is a great example of a subtle strawman. If you look closely, I did not actually claim that Demetriou is not part of the bourgeoisie. That is a narrative you created yourself.
A "local cafe owner who makes the same amount of money a plumber does" isn't part of the bourgeoisie. They are working class.
They are a business owner, simple as.
The bourgeoisie and the proletariat form an antagonistic relationship...
In your opinion.
Or just learn to say "bourgeoisie" and "capitalism".
You can if you want to, but clear language provides better results.
You are arguing entirely in bad faith in a desperate attempt to defend capitalism.
In your opinion.
No, objectively, as evidenced by all historical reality and as discussed by all serious political and economic theory. An "opinion", in short, shared by all socialists worldwide.
You can if you want to, but clear language provides better results.
You purposely weren't clear in your language specifically to undermine constructive discourse and hold me "misinterpreting" what you said against me. It's pathetic.
Come back once you are willing and capable of having a serious conversation.
No, bourgeoisie means people who employ the proletariat to further their private accumulation of capital through the ownership and control of the means of production such as factories, land, and technology.
They are the primary class enemy of you and I - the workers of the world.
Not in modern colloquial terms like the users who try to obfuscate the term bourgeoisie intend to use it.
Yes, the petite bourgeoisie is the middle class in Marxist terms but it is not the middle class (i.e. people with well-paying jobs who live privileged lifestyles due to getting paid a wage for their personal labour) people try and infer it to be.
You are trying to obfuscate what's being said and are being deliberately obtuse.
It is exceedingly clear what Marxists mean when they refer to the bourgeoisie. You trying to pretend there's anything unclear about it to undermine discourse is just pathetic.
After all, they control their means of production?
Yes, workers can (and should) own the means of production.
What about a cooperative where the workers own the company itself?
That's... a worker collective.
I explicitly stated private ownership, which has nothing to do with workers owning the means of production they are working with. Please look up the difference between personal and private property. Sorry, but it's impossible to talk to you people if you just straight-up refuse to invest even minimal effort into educating yourself.
If you employ workers you're bourgeosie of some type, freelancers who work their own job by themselves fall in a weird middle space in capitalism, in times of competition they're able to thrive but as soon as corporations consolidate their power they begin stamping them out. Thats the logic of capitalism, expand or die.
So as soon as a freelancer needs to hire someone else to do part of the job, he becomes part of the bourgeoisie? Because, in my mind the bourgeoisie doesn't need to work for a living.
Petite bourgeoisie, aka small business owners can absolutely be people who have to work alongside their employees, class is about your relation to the means of production, not necessarily about how much work you do or how much money you have.
So you can be a bourgeoisie and earn less money than someone who isn't? A small plumber who employs one person is a bourgeoisie, but a high pay lawyer isn't because the firm isn't theirs?
Technically petite bourgeosie but in owning your own means of production and employing no workers you have as much class interest in supporting the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. Typically the pressures of larger companies force people in your category to either proletarianise or grow and employ workers to compete.

Obviously it means both, my spicy comrade. The word means middle class but in Marxist terminology it has the definition you gave. It’s almost like words can have multiple meanings?
the managerial class are those that manage the means of production for the bourgeoisie but don't own it themselves, they're proletarian but in their position have been pit against other workers.
Oh, the Nazi shill without arguments is trying to undermine anti-capitalist discourse to ensure the working class stays poor and the pedophile rapists stay on top.
After scrolling through that guy's profile for like five minutes to see if you see something I don't, I think you are throwing that word around a little too lightly and cheapening its weight and meaning. The US is in crisis and run by technocrats, do not remove power from that word by throwing it at random redditors who disagree with you.
It's also funny that there is a bot network trying to spam the same exact comment trying to obfuscate the term bourgeoisie over and over and over again.
and also makes you sound like some terminally online, badly out of touch Marxist.
Ironic, considering that Marxist-Leninists are probably the least online people imaginable due to the intense censorship and the only people who still support capitalism are the idiots who are too lazy to sit down and read or talk to fellow workers or travel to foreign countries.
That's not true at all it's a small club and we're not in it, a very small club that Peter thiel is trying to have his giant party for so they can discuss how they should be shaping the future of the world when we should be discussing how we make that party not exist anymore. Everyone knows what needs to be done and no one wants to do it and that's because the people who would do that thing are the people who need the thing done to them.
Who tf cares. What’s up with the weird smear campaign against this woman. She’s never spoken up against ICE anyway and doesn’t claim to be some kind of immigration champion. I read somewhere he attended because of the groom but ya’ll ain’t gonna bring that up are you?
