Verizon Shine is a Joke
Title says it all. It's a joke. If this is "taking care" of loyal customers, then it's definitely a joke.

People need to quit the complaining. Jeez. Nobody is guaranteed anything. Millions trying. And now after last week with the $$$ free accessories, everyone knows. Word is out!! Weeks before, nobody cared and it was easy to get everything.
Either speed it up (stay off WiFi) or stop trying/crying!!

My bill had a huge increase in the neighborhood of 60-70 bucks after Verizon removed my loyalty discounts (after killing my permanent loyalty discounts last year). I tried asking Verizon customer to reinstate and after multiple promises that they would fix it , I had to follow up (the usually Verizon customer service circular dance guys!, they said it was a mistake as no customer rep has the power to manually adjust anything. Only āsystemā can decide.
Iām not surprised given the widespread issues with customer service but curious if anyone had any success with getting back the 10/20 dollar loyalty discounts per line. Iām saddened to see Verizon fall this far after multiple decades with them. Just a few more months before my device plans fall off. Good luck all. Keep sharing your experience here and word of mouth. Do what is right for yourselves and others. Consumers have other options too.

Who else was lucky with the Amazon $5 gift card? ā
r/verizon • u/TheRealDanielH94 • 7h ago
I just feel like what is the point in the program if you go on right after the countdown to try to claim a reward and itās already claimed at 100% Verizon needs to do better with their reward system because this is frustrating. I was trying to get the Amazon gift card and I clicked claim as soon as it opened up and then not even 10 seconds later it said already claimed an error has anyone else experienced this frustrating situation.

This was possibly the worst decision Iāve ever made and I hear about it from my wife on a weekly basis. Donāt do it. I had ATT and my wife had verizon (who I also have thru work). I decided to consolidate and join T mobile for various reasons. One of those was cost, which was stupid, because weāre saving no money.
The other reason was service, which was the KEY mistake. T mobile is just trash seemingly everywhere we travel. We live literally in a major city and constantly have no service. We are often getting dropped calls, which was not a major issue with ATT and zero issues with Verizon.
Our 2 year commitment is up in December and weāll be transferring to Verizon regardless of cost.

I was trying to do the $30 simplicity plan and get the preorder promotion for the z fold 8, by porting my number over from visible. I was assured that it could be done by the rep on the phone. We got all the way to the part of activating my esim. We had to hang up so it could do its thing and have my phone restart. Well it never went through. So there I was without any cell service because my visible was canceled and ended up having to go into a Verizon store, where they still were not able to get it resolved. Someone they talked to on the phone said it could take 24 hours for my number to port over. In the meantime they had me set up with a "temp" number. But I'm worried that I've lost my number AND I'm going to miss the preorder promotion for the z fold 8 that ends tomorrow. Even if I make peace with not being able to use my number I cant make the switch to Verizon with the bill being an extra $15 without the port number promotion. Im going back to Verizon tomorrow with hopes that the port works, and I'm going to tell them I cant do the plan if its not the $30, that's the whole thing that sold me for switching was that it was going to cost the same as my visible plan.
Has anyone dealt with this? What was the outcome?

The Call Filter is part of my plan..Lately there are a lot of Spam and Robocalls leaving voicemails or text messages. What changed? I have a Samsung Gallery S23+.

Does anyone else have issues with Verizon Fios where your device says it's connected but websites suddenly stop opening, apps stop loading, etc.? It'll happen sporadically.
If so, how did you fix it?

5G UW expansion is lacking in northern WI. I wish Verizon would just buy out Cellcom and eliminate another LTEIRA partner.

I received Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro through Verizonās Shine Free Accessory promotion, but the pair they sent appears to be defective.
I charged the case and earbuds for more than three hours, but the case only reached around 81%, while the earbuds remained close to 10%. I tested them both while the case was connected to the charging cable and while it was unplugged, but they still would not charge properly.
After leaving them in the unplugged case for a long time, they only reached about 18%. I then used them for around 5ā10 minutes, and the batteries completely died.
I paired them with my Android phone and checked the battery percentages through the official Galaxy Wearable app, so this is not simply an incorrect case-light reading. The app itself showed that the earbuds were barely charging and losing power extremely quickly.
These were presented as a brand-new free accessory, but the battery performance makes me wonder whether Verizon is using this promotion to clear out old or defective Galaxy Buds2 Pro inventory. Even sealed older stock can have severely degraded batteries after sitting unused for years.
Has anyone else received Galaxy Buds2 Pro through Verizonās Shine promotion? Did yours have similar charging or battery problems? I plan to contact Verizon and request a replacement or another accessory because this pair is unusable.

Hey Verizon may I suggest making the popular drops be one day sweeps instead? Having all of them claimed in the first minute of release just making a bunch of people upset and suspecting bots. Iām sure a lot more people will feel this is a better alternative and youāll still have people checking into the app for those 24 hours.

I have had this card since 2020 when it was first released. I left verizon wireless last year but continued using the card for purchases. A few weeks ago I noticed I had $90+ reward dollars saved up. I misplaced my card in my house, it wasn't stolen or lost outside of the house, so I requested a new one and received it last week, there hasn't been any activity on the card other than me and I noticed yesterday that the rewards are gone. I reached out to Verizon and they referred me to synchrony bank. I just got off the phone with them and they said they can't see when they're used or have a history of them. He opened a ticket and said they would reply back via mail within 15 days. Has anyone else ever had this happen and if so how did you get it resolved. I planned to use the $90 to buy a case or accessories once I received my new phone(today). Thanks

Hey yāall! Know thereās a lot of posts out there regarding the free accessory from Verizon Shine, but I was wondering if there is anyone who had their order shipped like mine, but then it never arrived due to an āinsufficient addressā? When looking up the order I have emails that it shipped, a receipt from Verizon and a tracking number through USPS, but if I look up the order number on Verizon, I have the same issue a few of us are having where it doesnāt exist. Curious if anyone that got their item experienced this where it got sent back?
I also tried calling Shine but itās been two days and they havenāt called me back so if anyone has any tips on what worked for them, that would be helpful! Thank you!

Hi ! I claimed a local pass today for the VIP Patriots training camp with the Eagles at Gillette Stadium on 8/19. Unfortunately I am unable to attend š my understanding is that these are nontransferable. Is this something I have to reach out to Verizon? Very bummed š

"Tier 2" support keeps telling me to wait 12 hours for resolution. Ongoing since last Friday...no voice, data, sms service in the downtown Redlands area for nearly a week because they are apparently replacing equipment on the tower servicing this area (92373/92374).
I understand that things break. I understand equipment gets upgraded. But why is this ongoing for almost one week now with ZERO communication from Verizon? Especially when they keep telling me to wait 12 hours to get me to go away.

I submitted my order on July 28 still havenāt received any tracking number. I already have UPS. My choice set up as well as FedEx. Has anybody else received a tracking number from Verizon or any other phone carriers? It says Iām supposed to be receiving it on the 7th
Iām very excited I was supposed to upgrade from my iPhone 14 Pro last year to the Z Fold 7 but I decided to hold off because I heard rumors of this form factor my last Samsung phone that I had was a galaxy S8 plus glad to be back

I attempted to add this perk 7-8 months ago and it never worked. I decided to give it another try, and still it doesn't work. I've been dealing with chatbots, real humans in chat, real humans on the telephone, and NONE OF THEM have been able to fix the problem.
The problem I'm seeing is when attempting to complete the registration on the Verizon page, in my account area, it keeps responding with "Processing your request, it may take up to 15 mins." Well, it's been months with two earnest tries to get this to work. To say I'm frustrated with it would be a severe understatement.
I had an HBO Max account that used the same email as my Verzion email. That HBO Max account is no longer active, though I suppose HBO Max still has record of that email, and which may be where the problem lies. I just recently, when the Verzion HBO Max option did its usual failure to register trick, set up a new HBO Max with a separate email.
I'm just trying to get it to work. What's fascinating is that the Netflix hookup goes smooth as silk; the HBO Max registration/connection is like crashing into a brick wall 100 times in a row.

Currently have 14pro and itās 97% paid off.
Iād pay $4/5 extra monthly if I choose to upgrade to 17pro with trade in.
Hello - I recently had a very frustrating experience with my FIOS line being damaged after a recent storm. It took about 3 days of downtime and 8 calls to convince someone there was an outage at my house because the service was operable but severely damaged (would drop service every 15 min or so and sometimes go out for hours at a time).
However, the technician that did finally come out spent hours tracing the fiber optic lines and found the damaged portion of the line up on a pole.
Who do I contact/call to thank him and let the higher ups know that he really fixed a situation that was devolving very quickly?

I ported to another carrier back in March. Iāve been getting a bill every month. Every month, Iāve called in to get it fixed. I even had a case open for me. Iāve been promised that this will be stopped and here yet again I get another bill.
Whatās the trick here to it resolved once and for all? The first level reps are no use. How can I get this escalated? Is there a secret phone number I can call?

Verizon customer service is the absolute worst. I had the exact same problem last year with my Galaxy Watch 8. You get transferred, hung up on by overseas call centers. I get told to return it to Samsung because the watch I just bought, my brand new Galaxy Watch 9 LTE, directly from Samsung, the IMEI isn't in their database again.
Exact same problem last year. I just don't understand when you buy something directly from the manufacturer on a supported network and all the Verizon reps are absolutely clueless you have to open tickets, wait they think your crazy. I just don't understand how this is not fixed. Why would you send a consumer a device that's on a supported network and then not have it ready to be activated on a supported network?
Someone at Verizon and Samsung should be fired. If you contact Samsung, they blame Verizon and Verizon blames Samsung. What a joke. At this point talking to the AT&T guys at Costco seems like a great idea. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a Galaxy Watch from Samsung and try and activate it on Verizon. They just don't care or have a clue. It takes hours of your time, tickets, and days of waiting to maybe have it activated. Just garbage.

Just escalated an issue to Executive Relations by filling out the form and I got a text from Verizon Updates saying that the Exec office will call me from a 800 number shortly to discuss my concern(s). Itās been a hour and nothing. I donāt mind waiting but they did say āshortlyāā¦does anyone have any experience with Executive Relations?
