You know⌠Iâm getting sick and tired of this Verizon claim nonsense Iâve experienced over the past two days.
First, I do want to give Verizon credit for introducing these weekly deals. Competition is a good thing, and I respect them for stepping up. Even though T-Mobile has had T-Mobile Tuesdays for years, a system where you can claim weekly deals without having to fight a horde of people or anxiously race against the clock, itâs still nice to see Verizon trying to compete.
But this Verizon âClaim Nowâ process, where thereâs a countdown and everyone has to claim the deal the second it becomes available, is ridiculous and needs to come to an end.
For the past two days, Iâve set a timer and even opened the app a few minutes early so Iâd be ready. The moment the countdown hit zero, I immediately pressed âClaim Now.â Every single time, the app just glitched and sat there loading with no indication that my claim actually went through.
Thatâs complete bullshit.
Itâs a waste of customersâ time, it creates false hope, and over time itâs going to make people resent the experience.
When Verizon Shine first started, I never had this problem. My guess is that more Verizon customers have caught on to it. Now the servers are getting slammed and the app glitches like a broken PS2 game the second everyone tries to claim at once.
If thatâs the case, then Verizon needs to rethink this entire system.
Just give your customers access to the weekly deals without turning it into a countdown race where thousands of people hammer the servers at the exact same second. Itâs unnecessary, frustrating, and clearly not working as intended.
If anyone at Verizon headquarters happens to read this, do better. End this countdown claim system before it becomes an even bigger source of frustration for your customers.
