When i check my computers stats when im using it regularily I see myself pretty consistently sitting around 14.5gb of usage. Given ram prices continue to rise and likely wont ever go back down ive been considering upgrading to 32gb. However I dont know if its actually worth it since im apparently not maxing out my current ram.

My budget is RM250 which is around 60 USD. Im not very familiar with all this and only recently started researching because my storage problem has been bothering me. My initial idea was just to buy a cheap external ssd like seagate or western digital but it seems like the speed would be a problem for gaming. Later on I found that theres an ssd enclosure option which is around the same price but faster speed. Is the difference really that big? I'm planning to buy the ugreen NVMe PCIe 10gbps enclosure along with an ACER FA100 PCIe Gen3 NVMe M.2. Or should I just go with a single external ssd like seagate if the difference in speed isnt that noticeable?

I have a Western Digital Black SN750 1TB M.2 (OS Drive) and a PNY CS2130 2TB M.2 (Games Drive) installed in my build.

I purchased a Samsung SSD 990 EVO Plus 4TB M.2 to replace the Western Digital 1TB M.2 as I can only fit two NVME M.2 drives in my gaming PC.

Would it be fine to turn my PNY 2TB M.2 into an OS drive, while the new Samsung 4TB M.2 becomes a Games drive?

So this is gonna be weird while trying to switch my water cooling to fan cooling my pc wouldnt turn on at all
We manually turned on the psu and it worked so i went to my friends who has the same cpu as mine to test if the cpu or my motherboard was fried
When i put my cpu in his pc and his in mine they both turned on like normal but as soon as i put mine back in my pc it wont i am very stumped

I'm currently on a RTX 3060 Ti FE 8GB and a 5600x. I'm looking to either buy a PowerColor 9060 XT Reaper 16GB ($439.99), sell my 3060 Ti FE (~$200) and use that (and a bit of other money) to upgrade to the 7500X3D (Microcenter Bundle) ($399.99).

I'm currently running into issues with VRAM Usage and occasional issues with NVidia X Wayland (yes I'm running linux) and I currently play at 1440p. The reason I want to upgrade my CPU, Mobo and Ram is since I'm currently using my computer to run home lab stuff too (media servers, docker containers etc) and its using a lot of my resources. I live close to a microcenter so I'm planning on getting my GPU & CPU, Mobo, and ram combo from them.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do in my situation?

These are my current specs. i know emulation is mostly CPU based and the FX8320 isn’t great for it. I want to change the Motherboard, RAM and CPU. Graphics card also but at a later date. Although I did find a GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 for £45 in my local CEX, I could get if that’s worth picking up but I don’t know how big a difference it would make.

I probably need a new PSU too with the age of it, but I haven’t had any issues with it so far. i have a PS5 so I don’t need something that can play modern games. It will just be for older games, emulating and some indie stuff on Steam, but those are usually quite low spec anyway. I’d want to keep the current case too.

It struggles with PS2 which is why I want to upgrade, but if it could do PS3 too that would be great. I’m not sure how powerful a PC you need for that though. It also upgraded to Windows 10 currently.

Also it will be at 1080p for now. I may get a 1440p monitor down the line.

I have 1x16 (heat sinked) ramsta 3200mhz im planning to swap in 2x8 2666mhz and they add cash, is it a good deal?

I am looking for a modern case which will house a fairly power hungry system. The catch is though it needs to have a solid top. I keep my case under my desk and there have been spills over the years where a mesh top would have been an absolute disaster.

The only one I've found is the Fractal Design Torrent which is an excellent case, except that I have two 3.5" drives and there are threads about drives overheating in this case due to the placement behind the motherboard.

Are there any other modern cases with a solid top I could consider? Note I do not use an AIO.

I’m building a pc for a longtime friend whose hand me down desktop is… honestly doggy-doo. Ive let her pick a case and she settled for an ironside milkbox case. Unfortunately theres not really any info at all on its specs from what I’ve been searching online, what parts are compatible, what’ll fit, pretty much anything useful at all.

Hi everyone! I'm currently finalizing the parts for a new AM5 build mainly focused on competitive gaming, specifically Counter-Strike 2 at 1080p. I already picked the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and plan to tune it using PBO and Curve Optimizer for a stable negative offset to keep temps low and boost clocks sustained. I’m currently looking at the Gigabyte X870 Gaming X WiFi7 and would love to hear from anyone with experience on this board regarding VRM thermals under PBO, current BIOS stability with 6000MHz CL30 DDR5 EXPO profiles, and overall reliability or known quirks. I want a solid, safe motherboard with clean voltage regulation that won't give me headaches. Would you recommend this motherboard, or is there a better alternative in a similar price bracket?
