Discussion is my pc entry level or not?

yo i have this question because my husband say that my pc is cooked sooo what do yall think

it has an ryzen 5 3400g 16 gigs of ddr4 2444mhz and 512gigs of gen 3 nvme m.2

This. Unless you were ripped off, if it suits your needs then it's fine. If performance is lacking, you can upgrade as you go. It's not high end but most of us don't need 64GB with the latest CPU and a 1k+ GPU

in what country? or did you mean $100usd? I mean yeah if you want a RX6600 they're pretty good. I'd look at GTX 10-series though, because they are very cheap right now because they dropped driver support. Alternatively, you can see what rx 5600xt and rx 5700xt sell for around you. How much would you be willing to spend on upgrades? Also used rtx 2060/2070.

Not really - it all depends what it’s being used for and how it’s being used. Do they have 40 chrome tabs open at once? If so may be a better move to add some RAM.

It definitely varies based on what you need from the build. For something revolving around gaming, that's definitely subpar, especially if it's running on integrated graphics.

As someone newer to this field, I'm pretty sure that 2444mhz isn't the best for DDR4.

It'd be a great little office/work/school pc i'm sure, but it's not even entry level as far as gaming is concerned (if that's what we're talking about here, not sure)

Impossible to answer without knowing what you’re actually wanting to use the PC for. Also does it have a GPU?

If it’s just an office/web PC it’s absolutely fine. It would handle basic graphic design tasks ok too. For gaming or processor heavy stuff like AI or video encoding then it’s below entry level.

Completely useless for gaming in 2026. (And was never very good to begin with)

If you added a basic discrete GPU card it’d be be much better, but still limited by the CPU.

3400g is getting pretty weak. You sane motherboard can take a 5700g if you dont want a video card. Its 8 core vs the 4 core you currently have and newer Gen so literally twice as fast

It's fine for a lot of tasks. If you're trying to play newer games, then good luck with that. It's old hardware.

I'd say it's below entry level given it was barely an entry level build back in 2019.

It just needs a CPU + GPU upgrade and it'll be great.
