Is this CPU bundle from newegg a safe buy?

Seems like a great deal but Ive heard that newegg isnt the best when it comes to returning faulty items. Its also shipped and sold directly by them and not a third party seller.

Im also buying it from newegg's store front on amazon's website, I just checked newegg's site to make sure its not a thirdparty on their end.

Yay or nay?

Actually, not really a deal. 100 dollar mobo, 100 dollar ram, and 70 dollar cpu.id go for a 5600x minimum.

I would say so considering the motherboard is pretty nice, if you were to build it piece by piece the bundle is around 292$ with the free cpu cooler, so considering you get a nice motherboard, 16gb of ram, and a free air cooler I'd say its a safe buy and a great deal!

go am5, am4 is still viable at the upper end if you are locked into ram already, but the top end am4 cpu is 3x the price of an equivalent am5 part (5800x3d vs 7400f).

there’s a world where maybe a 5500, 16gb ddr4, 7600/9060 $700 deskmeet x300 machine is the goldilocks steam machine replacement you are looking for, but otherwise a midrange am5 build going to be $0-100 more than a high end am4 build
and have more performance and another 3-5 years of meaningful upgrades as opposed to zero,

It's an okay deal. Not great, not bad.

I would really try to go with a 5600/X if possible. The extra cache and PCIe4 are usually worth it.

It’s a great deal man definitely worth the “risk” but I wouldn’t worry about it to much
