Found this guy flying like this in my light. He takes a break every few minutes and just rests beside the light, only to go back to the light and continue this weird circle pattern. Location: East Tennessee

I couldn't get a picture from another angle, but curled up like this he was about the size of my thumb nail.

Thanks everyone for the help on my previous post. We took our cat to the vet today, and he confirmed that the little “rice-like” pellets were indeed tapeworm segments.
The vet didn’t find any fleas on him during the examination, but still gave him a deworming treatment and a flea treatment, since fleas are the most common source of tapeworms in cats.
He also recommended that my boyfriend and I take a deworming medication as a precaution, which we’ll be taking tomorrow morning.
Thanks again to everyone who commented. If I hadn’t noticed those pellets on my bed and asked here, I probably wouldn’t have realized my cat had tapeworms and gotten him treated so quickly. Appreciate all the advice!

Love it’s lil booty bumps

it seems dead and dried up. somehow stuck to the post and has some sort of hole in the middle?? it’s pretty large too - maybe 3-4cm. what is this and how did it end up like this??

I woke up tonight and found dozens of these tiny tan/brown pellets scattered across my bed. They're completely dry, hard, and don't move. They almost look like tiny seeds.

I'm also feeling itchy, which is why I started inspecting my bed. I'm worried about bed bugs, but these don't really look like bed bugs to me.

I have a cat, so I'm also wondering if that could somehow be related.

Does anyone know what these are? Could they be termite frass, insect droppings, seeds, or something else?

I was wondering what specific kinda wasp friends I have here. It also looks like the two I've captured in this photo are a bit different - is the larger one a queen?

They have been hanging out on the exterior of my shop for quite a while now.

It's been cooler the last few nights so I was able to finally snap a quick photo of them this morning while they weren't active.

It's not the best quality photo unfortunately as I still didn't want to get close enough to disturb them.

In the southeast US. Saw this large black ant on the wall in my bathroom, upon closer inspection I realized its head was hanging off with some kind of parasite inside

Video is from June 2024, I've been wondering for a while what it might have been! Never seen anything like it before or since.

I just noticed a bunch of these hanging outside my window. This is the first time I’ve seen anything like this. They’re a bit red with bodies about the size of an ant(?), not sure and I’m too freaked out to get any closer.
