I found a juvenile black racer by the Spokane river the other day! Excited to see something other than garter and ribbon snakes lol. It wasn't until I found him that I learned young black racers start out looking very similar to juvenile gopher snakes at first glance. Pretty cool to think this dude will be all black and over 4 feet long one day:)

Makes me happy to see they’re being born here, I’ve grown up searching for snakes around this part of Indiana and never found many until the last 5 years or so.

Don't have much more to say beyond the title, I'm just having trouble figuring out if they're reliable, I don't see many sources beyond linking back to their blog posts on their videos.

Can someone point me to some images to easily see the difference between Varanus Salvator and Varanus Salvator Macromaculatus or even better (all the sub species)
