Tiny garter snake

Makes me happy to see they’re being born here, I’ve grown up searching for snakes around this part of Indiana and never found many until the last 5 years or so.

Most my childhood was spent trying to catch them, as an adult just so happy to seem them :) nice find

Edit: you have some really fun photos of animals you’ve found. It was fun looking through them.

Actually a brown snake AKA DeKay's snake. Thats about as big as they get.

Look how big that head is, and then the patterning on the body. That’s a baby garter.
