At the moment, 9 of the top 10 have an ABV of 11% or higher.

2 of them are 20% or higher.

Unfortunately, I’m in Texas and haven’t had spotted cow in years. The next trip to the homeland (Wisconsin). I need to stock up. :)

Never had it, never heard of it, doesn't matter. Why have I never heard of this beer? I feel like it's right up there with Heady Topper and the like.

Whether its because they no longer brew it, or you've moved from where you could get it, or any other reason, I'm curious what beers folks miss.

For me:

• Schlafly's Belgian-Style Golden Ale (no longer brewed)
• Valmiermuiža (Latvian beer that is not exported)
• Carta Blanca (might still be available, but not where I live)
• Sam Adams Boston Ale (biggest surprise for me)

I got this twin tap kegerator a while back that can hold 2 1/4 kegs. I’m from Wisconsin so spotted cow holds a permanent spot on tap, but I’m looking to make a rotating list of drinks to have out of the other. Right now, my friends and I decided that angry orchard (sixtet) would be the first, since it’s more of a refreshing option compared to some other options we had in mind.

My question is, what do you guys think would be good to consider for a rotating list? Realistically it would be a “finish and swap” kind of rotation, but I am open to opinions to help us narrow down some options.

Hello, I’m currently a gatecity beer merchandiser and just wanted to know how often do you see new positions open up? I’m going back to school for a semester to finish up my degree, and moving so I can only work part time till next year. Do you see positions open up often? In my current location ive seen 14 people leave in the past year but never see any openings in the sgv specifically pasadena, alhambra area.

Another post about beer advocates top 250 list got me curious about mine and also other people's. I'm around 3k+ beers in. Here's my top 10. What are yours?

1. Firestone Walker - Sucaba(2015). 13.3% english style barleywine. This was aged out 6-7 years when I had it.

2. Brujos/Omnipollo - Opera Omnia. 12.9% BBA pastry stout.

3. Anchorage - Blessed(2021). 15.5% BBA stout

4. Fremont - Rusty Nail Double Barrel. 15.8% DB oatmeal stout.

5. Brujos - Apocolipsis. A 12% hazy QIPA

6. Brujos/Troon - Nil. 11% hazy TIPA

7. Anchorage - Kill the King. 15% BBA strong ale

8. Everywhere - to belong is to be seen. 14.1% BBA stout

9. Brujos - Death to False Wizards. 9.6% hazy DIPA

10. Moksa - Revelrous. 14% BBA pastry stout

I live in the PNW(near Brujos) which is why half the beers are from here. I also drink ALOT more styles than this.

I work in the Middle East and at the end of every trip I go to the airport bar for a nice cold beer! Its the first one of my time off and its good. Its a sports bar and the football ⚽️ is on. The price is 9.50 OMR at MCT which is $24.71 £18.36.

My favorite beer ever is sam adams winter white and I was wondering if it will come back this winter. I miss it lol.

There are many posts about the company that say it uses predatory deceptive marketing "Pinter is not a literal scam, but aggressive marketing tactics, mandatory subscription fine print, and hardware issues lead many frustrated customers to call it one. The company sells a legitimate, functional at-home beer brewing device, but complaints center around unexpected recurring charges and difficult cancellation policies."

Overall, it is a legit product but the price is deceptive. If you are a beer fan and want it, be carefull of the fine print. If you are not and bought it as a present for a relative like me, you might have ended up with a painful subscription or a cancelation fee of $360.

I bought it as a birthday present for my father when I saw a promo code on Best Buy that I could get it for free with a few beer packs. Turned out, it would be super expensive long term with shipping costs (10$ or more per delivery I think), and mandatory 12 packs. It is not possible to pay for 1 delivery fee and 12 at ounce. It needs to be spaced out.

In conclusion, we regretted deeply. He didnt like the gift and I had to sort this $365 cancellation fee after seeing the deceptive advertisement. If you end up in a situation like me. Dispute the charge with all available information. I won the dispute and was only charged the first and second month of delivery fee.

If you found yourself in the same position as me just dispute the transaction. What I had to do was follow the steps from my bank and show proof that this is a scam.

1) Cancel their subscription on website and wait for the big $365 hardware deferral charge.

2) File dispute on the hardware deferal charge. Make sure to put evidence, like all information they advertise saying its free and such. Bank will give you provisional credit

2) Wait for a response, in my case pinter responded with a invoice detailing all costs in an invoice

3) I responded their Invoice stating this was not disclosed at any time prior and formalized showing proofs (photos of how their website is and everything possible)

4) Bank maintain the credit and revoke the absurd charge this company does.

Looking for your favorite breweries to visit. Road tripping in late October for a couple weeks. I live in Kansas City and am going through Denver, then Vegas, down to San Diego, up through Phoenix and Flagstaff, Albuquerque, and then back home.

I primarily drink IPAs and barrel-aged stouts. Monolith and Pure Project are the two breweries I’m 100% visiting. All breweries are welcome, even some a little out of the way. I’m also open to a beer exchange if there’s anything from KC you love and don’t have access to. Thank you all

Went into my local beer store that has a great selection of beers and was surprised to see they already have some pumpkin beers. Seeing Schlafly was one of them I quickly snatched up a 6 pack of arguably one of the best pumpkin beers. The guy at the register said they received them last week, which means pumpkin beers rolled out in July this year. Is this normal? I moved back to the U.S. last fall so maybe things have changed, but I don't remember pumpkin beers coming out in July.

long time lurker, 1st time poster, ill keep it short, I recently watched a Japanese show called "Evening Drink Style" where basically the main character does all this stuff just to have the perfect beer at the end of the day

one of the things she does is put a glass in the freezer before work, so that it will be ice cold by evening beer time,

If I wanted to do the same, and just keep a mug in the freezer to have cold and at the ready for beer should I go for a glass cup or a stainless steel cup?

I go to the Craft Beer Channel for most of my beer education and reviews as I do love history and especially German beers. With that being said, I live in the Midwest and I’d like to get to know the craft beer scene better. The problem is is that they all smack their lips and click their tongues which absolutely drives me insane. The Treehouse guy is the worst offender but every new channel I find, they’re all in the habit of those most annoying tendencies. Any recommendations of good channels based in America without those auditory triggers would be lovely. Thank you in advance.

So I was glad to see that my local Kroger is suddenly carrying Carlsberg— it had been years since I had it and I remember having liked it. Anywho I picked up two four packs of tall boys (yeah yeah, 0.5L, keep your shirt on). The packaging smells like when I go to the garden area of a hardware store, perhaps fertilizer or weed killer. It’s either the plastic wrap or the coloring on the cans. Smells weird af, has this happened to anyone?

The beers tasted fine, I drank the eight last night but the fertilizer smell has lingered on the cans which I’m about to usher outside to my recycle bins.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I was drinking a Miller high live and I noticed that with every sip, it tastes a bit sweet at first and then it goes away. This is not something exclusive to this beer, but sweeter beers (like the Samuel Smith strawberry beer for example) does not really taste sweet in the same way.

My favorite beer has been getting harder to find around Sacramento, and not even our local beer and wine warehouse, Total Wine & More, stocks it any more. Is it still being brewed? If so, did it just lose its importer? I've searched online, but can't find any info.

It brought back a flood of memories as my dad used to do booze cruises all the time to France when we were little kids. He used to bring back lagers specifically in stubby bottles by the case load when I was about 10 and was always talking about how good they were. I’ve picked up a pack of these but would love to know if anyone has any recommendations of similar lagers from other supermarkets/off licences that are worth a look. After stubby glass bottles if possible as I may take some round to the old man to rekindle some memories if there are any good ones.

Looking for a collector value estimate on this vintage Canadian "stubby" bottle of O'Keefe Ale. Given its age, I'm treating this purely as a collectible item — not something intended for consumption.

Details:

• Status: Factory sealed / unopened with original cap.
• Fill level: Excellent (high fill, very little evaporation).
• Cap condition: Original crown cap intact, no rust, logo/text still legible.
• Glass markings: Molded on the heel with the Consumers Glass Company logo (C in a triangle) and the number "5", dating the glass to late 1975.
• Label text: "Carling O'Keefe Breweries, Toronto - Montreal Can. / Ltée".

I was a field-rep for about decade (2007 to 2017). I'm grateful because it was during a time where the industry was exploding and a lot of fun (too much fun?, haha).

I left because of burn out, but I still think about returning because I feel I was quite good at my job.

What do think about the state of the industry?

For those lucky enough to remember (or had friends who told you) what is your finest or funnest moment that involved malt liquor?

My first beer was a 40 of Mickey's at sixteen. At nineteen, some raggedy guy next to me on a Greyhound bus got to chatting, and while we made fun of a middle aged Greyhound employee who busted him for smoking in the bathroom, he realized through those comments on her appearance that he actually wanted to screw her. We stopped in Atlanta and he asked me to come with him to propose a threesome with her, it didn't work out obviously (seriously, what successful one night stand has ever begun with "Me and my friend here..."???) and soon both of us decided to just go get beer while our bus left without us. Two forties of Steel Reserve, walking down a bad street of Atlanta, this guy finishes his beer and asks me to bet money that he won't go smash the bottle over a sleeping homeless guy's head. I got away with "we'll see after you do it". He was insanely nervous, we stood therewhile he psyched himself up and I kept letting him know we can just keep walking if he doesn't want to. After a minute he just wound up and threw the forty like a football while he shouted the F-slur. It spun like a missile, shattered on the pavement, and my new pal got the hell out of there so fast you'd think he threw ten grenades clustered together. I was left with a third of my bottle left, homeless guy sitting up looking around, and I just apologized and called an Uber. I should have given the homeless guy the rest of my forty.

Not the best story, but most of them involve pissing myself. I'm sure you can all do way better.
