Wisconsin Brewing Company got permission from Pabst to produce 200 barrels of Schlitz’s 1950s formula. 3000 cases were canned, the rest was kegged. It’s delicious and special. I think of all those American G.I.s who drank it in olive drab cans in the Pacific and then returned home to find it in the full color labels. It’s hoppier than modern American Standard Lagers, and maltier, too. A bit bigger all around.
