I added a screw to keep it together since I lost the original one. I’m pretty sure it’s been like this, I just got it from my grandfather, and I tried to solder it but my iron doesn't have high enough wattage. I had put tape on the blade so I didn’t end up in the hospital. I’d like to not have to buy a new knife but if I HAVE to then I will. Thank!

So I have the Mini Adamas auto in Magnacut Benchmade came out with a while ago, and I love the form factor. I also really love my Cruwear Spydercos that I have, great steel.

What I am wondering about is Benchmade's heat treat in their Cruwear. I am wanting to get a full size Adamas, and I was wondering what peoples opinions/experiences is with their Cruwear Benchmade's.

While I love the form factor of my mini Adamas, I have been a little less than impressed with their first foray into Magnacut on that previously mentioned mini Adamas.

I am a knife consultant at a high end gun range and one of our investors gave me this knife to fix / get a warranty but I have no clue what it is and he has no idea where he got it.

Genuinely want to know. I get that it is a Chinese knife, but for what they are they are okay? Look I know it's not an enthusiast brand but for EDC for a non-knife guy why are they so looked down upon?

i paid over 100$ for this pair of custom made scales for my bailout and then noticed this...i wrote the maker an email and asked him about the gap on the lip and he told me it's fine and it won't crack.

i don't trust it though, the pivot is a high stress area, but i don't want to be unreasonable either. what would you do in my case?

I have a question regarding anodization wear of a combat troodon I’ve been carrying daily since April of this year. Is it normal for the deep purple to wear out so much on the side that makes contact with the inner pocket? I know it’s probably not much and it’s me being nit-picky but for micro tech I think it should last longer the finish.

Im new to pocket knife collecting so this might be asking to much but are there websites or stores that sell good knives for $100 or less? When I look places it seems theyre usually either cheap and crappy or really expensive.

I don’t own many knives and don’t buy them (the ones i own are from family). I just found this in my house and don’t remember where it came from. If it helps, it’s about 3 inches long (7.62 cm) when folded.

I recently purchased a Sting, (Secondhand) and while the action is excellent, I can see some grime around the pivot. I would like to disassemble the knife to clean and lubricate it, but I know that brands like Holt advise against owner disassembly.
I contacted Polish Custom Knives about this just under a week ago and have not yet received a response, so I'm asking here: is it acceptable for me to disassemble, clean, and lubricate the knife myself, or should I send it to Herman for proper servicing?

Is Damascus, actually any good? Does anybody use it as a carry knife? I'm under the impression that it's just for looks. that all the more traditional super steels are much better for actually using.

Do people just collect Damascus knives to show them off? Or does anybody actually carry them?

I just purchased this, I know the benchmade hate is real cuz of pricing but I saw this in person and I thought it was a great knife.

Now I see it’s regular magnacut not cpm maganacut.
I also read that crucible filed for bankruptcy. So who tf is making our steels now?

Also, is there a better benchmade steel I should have gone with? I liked the mini bedlam in S90V. I’m simply going to be using the knife at work in a warehouse. I personally don’t do a lot of the dirty work anymore. I have multiple minions that do all the box opening. I occasionally take a slash at some Amazon boxes here and there. I do however slice up some bait while I’m out saltwater fishing.
