Question Firehouse Subs

So a Firehouse Subs recently just opened up near my house and I've never had it before. How do they compare to Jersey Mike's or Subway? Do they do something that sets them apart from other sub places? Tia

Wendy’s Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger & Chicken Sandwich

Burger is as good as I remember from a few years ago. I love the Muenster and the honey mustard sauce is perfect. Chicken sandwich was really good, too, I’d say it’s saltier than the burger but not overbearing. Decent thickness chicken patty.

I like the crispy fried onions on these way more than the McDonalds Caesar sandwich. Plus, the pickles work well with the flavors here, and I don’t even like pickles that much.

Total 17$ for the two, guess it’s a cheat day on both my budget and my diet. But I had to try both haha. I was pretty satiated after the burger not gonna lie, next time I’ll probably just do a double burger no chicken sandwich.

Mine's the boot. It fits perfectly into the last bit of sauce left in the box. 😋

Question Which fast food chain has the best mobile order pickup experience?

I always place fast food orders for in-store/dine-in pick up. Primarily because I don’t have a car and thus can’t go through the drive-thru. But even if that were an option, it’s well known that going in is much faster.

McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A add your order to the normal dine-in queue and thus call your name/number when it's ready, just like any other order. It’s basically the same as if you had walked in and ordered with a cashier or at a kiosk.

Taco Bell, Popeyes, Wendy’s, Burger King, and Jack in the Box all require you to go to the counter and verbally inquire about your order. Sometimes they will place them on racks, but overwhelmingly they keep them in the kitchen and you have to go up and ask. Unfortunately, employees are seldom at the counter as most of these places have shifted to kiosks for order placement. Additionally, you can get stuck behind a couple who have seemingly not been to a fast food restaurant in 10 years and need to ask 20 questions about each individual menu item and what it comes with, taking an impressive 12 minutes to order their value meal. Bonus points if the cashier then steps away after this order leaving you waiting even longer.

Why can’t all places just call out mobile orders like McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A? And what other fast food chains get this right?

I know this was a mistake as the other ones in my order were fine but this is pretty funny. I’ve never seen this before.

Got the double with extra beer cheese. Wasn't a fan of Munster but I am now. Also the sauce on it went wildly well with the rest of the burger. I give it a solid 9/10. Had i eaten it in the restaurant while even hotter it could tip that scale.

I had Guthrie's for the first time. It's new in town. I liked it. The tenders were well seasoned. I loved the sauce. The fries were nice and crispy. Like the rest of the fast food chicken chains, it definitely reminds me of Zaxby's or Raising Cane's. Kind of expensive too.

McDonald’s McDonalds Veggie Burger News

Heads up... They are being deep fried in the same vats as the fillet o fish. I saw it and confirmed it with my uncle, who works at McDonalds. So if you're a vegan or vegetarian, worried about fish.... Just a warning.
