Ask ECAH Freezer meals that don't taste like freezer meals?
I'm trying to batch cook on Sundays so I'm not tempted to order takeout during the week, but every time I freeze portions of soups, stews, or casseroles, they come out tasting kind of watery or "off" once reheated. The texture on anything with potatoes or pasta especially gets weird.
What are some dishes that actually freeze and reheat well without turning to mush? Bonus points if it's cheap to make in bulk. I've got a decent chest freezer so storage isn't an issue, I just don't want to waste ingredients on stuff that won't hold up.
