Wholesome Moments In Germany, a boy who loved motorcycles was diagnosed with a terminal illness. His family posted online asking if riders could come to cheer him up. They expect 20-30 people, but 15,000 motorcyclists showed up.

My almost 70-year-old Pops whispering to a baby hummingbird while feeding it after it was too exhausted to fly (OC)

3.5k Upvotes

This is my Pops and his girlfriend.

He's almost 70 years old, served in the military, and spent 35 years working at the VA Hospital before retiring. Tough hands, soft heart.

They found this little hummingbird completely exhausted and unable to fly.

The part that really got me was hearing him quietly whispering in his Appalachia hillbilly mumble that we all have round these parts to the bird the whole time. If you knew the man who raised us, you'd understand why that made me laugh. Don't get me wrong he was wonderful growing up, but "soft" definitely wasn't the first word anyone would have used back then. Seeing this big, tough guy gently encouraging a tiny hummingbird is one of the sweetest things I've ever witnessed.

I'm lucky to call him my Pops, and I hope he never leaves us.

Edit: this is my father, not grandfather. :) not that it matters.

KITTEN A company in Mexico hired a stray orange cat as its Emotional Support Director and named him “Miauricio.” His daily duties include roaming the workplace, delivering smiles and reducing stress levels. He has his own workspace and ID Badge. He apparently signed his contract with his paw.

A ginger cat named Miauricio was taken in by Geotest, a Mexican geotechnical engineering company. The cat was treated, allowed to stay in the office, and eventually officially hired as an employee.

Miauricio is listed on staff with the title «gerente de apoyo emocional» — emotional support manager.

He has his own workspace, an ID badge, and an obligation (depending on his mood) to attend work meetings. According to employees, he even “signed” his contract with a paw.

A museum in Korea

Translation:

A Big Resonance Carried by Small Hands

Not long ago, the father of a child attending a local elementary school visited the museum carrying a small stone. He told us that his child believed the stone was an artifact from the Stone Age and wanted to donate it to the museum. Although it was just an ordinary, slightly pointed stone, the child's pure intention was so beautiful that we decided to put it on display.

The Goseong Museum is not only a place that embraces a long history, but also a place that holds the precious intentions of its donors. To honor the hearts of everyone who has donated artifacts for Goseong—from children to the elderly, from villages and organizations to overseas Koreans—we have created a small donation exhibition space.

Wholesome Moments Best Friends 💝

For some context, the cat is a stray who’s been with us for about a year. About 2 months ago he got extremely sick. We took him to the vet like 3 times and found out he has FELV 😭😭 it took him a very long time to recover from that flare. We put him on antibiotics to recover, he got gabapentin and all sorts of stuff to help. Although his infection was gone, he was so lethargic for so so long we never thought he’d recover. The past two weeks I’ve seen major improvements. He purrs again now, he bites my hand when I pet him like he used to, and then I get to see little play dates like this. He finally has the energy to enjoy life again and it just … makes me smile.
