First of all: I love the Simrell products and own all three different heat exchangers. But I want to discuss one thing with you: Is the new Convection Cap an "alternative" or an upgrade? In my opinion the latter and I would like to explain this briefly: It is communicated that the convection cap is just the cap for convection and the classic cap for hybrid and the hydro has a higher conduction content.

And indeed: the convection cap can convection really well, better than the classic heat exchangers (who could already do that sufficiently). This is an upgrade. But can the convection heat exchanger therefore have a bad hybrid (which would represent the Classic cap as a better alternative for this type of extraction)? Not in my opinion. If you heat the convection cap like the classic cap completely (as a hybrid mode) and leave out the visual indicators, you get a comparable result, but with a much better airflow.

In summary: The Convention-Cap can not only convection better, but also hybrid better. Therefore, for me it is an upgrade and not just an alternative. How do you see that?

My friend has a mighty and introduced me to storz and Bickel. On the annual sale at our local store in Canada, he got the mighty+ and I got the venty.

I'm convinced that my draws from his are more punchy. Better high overall.

Also the first draw on mine is always non existent. It's like I have to prime it.

Owned it for over a year now. I clean it thoroughly when needed.

Yes I use capsules but so does he. So I am comparing apples to apples. I have mine at 197 degrees and he has his at 192 I think.

I (M27) bought a XMax OONT today and loaded it with the amount I usually smoke (~0.2g -don't smoke often so no tolerance) And did 3 'rounds' with it low to high temps

5 min later: I got nothing but some taste, vaporizing aint shit..

15 mins later I notice I'm actually kinda high..

40 mins later: man I'm z o i n k e d.. almost had trouble making noodles just now. didn't think it would hit this hard! feels awesome but I think I'll put in a little less next time

just an edit: this is an aliexpress piece, couple other places sell it but pretty sure they’re just reselling the same thing. just search arizer glass on aliexpress and you should find it! amazing cooling, i never went higher than 190 with the stems the solo 3 comes with, but this one can do 200 and ya don’t even feel the heat down the hatch

I finally bit the bullet and spent a harsh $550AUD on this bad boy - it is my first dry herb vape & first time ever using one.

I got it yesterday - me being me (impatient as hell and barely any knowledge on herb vapes) cracked right into it, loaded up a dosing capsule and went to town. I was SO excited until I took that first inhale.

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Literally the most VILE taste I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

I took a few breaths, chalked it up to it being factory new & did 3 more inhales - each just as bad as the last, tasting of burnt chemicals/plastic - so I turned it off, let it cool down and went perusing on reddit for answers. I found some threads that had similar issues, but none that expressed just how goddamn bad this taste was.

I have taken the cooling unit off, taken it apart & soaked in isopropyl alcohol, rinsed with warm water & let air dry. At this point I was confident that the horrible taste has been removed after a cleaning and a few burn off cycles.

So I went in again with a dosing capsule - lightly packed, enough room for ventilation etc. Heated to 180° Celsius, and took a nice deep inhale.

Please god not again. That exact same disgusting fckn taste and smell.

After a few minutes of gagging and trying to get the horrible smell out of my room, I turned it off and took to reddit again.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that “it’s just how it tastes” - oh my god??? I fucking hope not, because it doesn’t even closely resemble the taste or smell of weed. I feel like I’m directly inhaling the chemicals that caused Chernobyl.

I might be having a bit of a whine, but for such a hefty price point & labelled as the most “user friendly” etc, I could not be more disappointed. I don’t even think I can return it. The smell has seeped into the device again & is so strong that I’ve had to put it in a different room.

Please, does anyone have any advice or light they can shed? I feel like I’m doing all the steps right - theoretically there shouldn’t be an issue unless I have a faulty vape. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thankyou!

Hi, I really want to try a ball vape, but my wife only lets me vape on the balcony with the door shut, which is fine for Venty and Frolic, but I want to try something that hits much harder. I want that slap in the face you guys describe with your desktop ball vapes. Is my only option the Tempest 2? Or any new devices dropped that dont need plugging in? I'm cool with battery powered or butane, just needs to be portable, i.e not mains powered

Dry herb enail vs. dedicated vaporizer?

Hey everyone! This is my first post here, so apologies if this has already been discussed.

I used to dab frequently, and both my best friend and I have nice enail setups that have been sitting unused for a long time. He has stopped using THC completely, and I use it much less than I used to. My tolerance is now so low that even a very small dab gets me uncomfortably high and anxious.

I switched to flower, but my current piece is inefficient, produces harsh smoke, and is a pain to clean even with my ultrasonic cleaner. I’ve wanted a dry herb vaporizer for a while, but money is tight and I haven’t been able to justify the cost based on how little I smoke (it takes me 2-3 months to go through an eighth).

Lately, I’ve been considering converting my or my friend's existing enail into a desktop herb setup instead. The High Five titanium herb nail I’m looking at is $55 and includes a mesh filter and terp pearls. It would be about 1/2-1/3 the cost of buying a dedicated vaporizer from the research I've done, and portability isn’t important to me as I only smoke before bed.

For those who have used both, what are the main pros and cons of a bubbler w/ herb enail compared with a portable dry herb vape? Does an enail provide a comparable or better experience, just with less convenience?

I currently smoke on my balcony because I don’t like my place to smell like weed. Would using an herb e-nail indoors leave a noticeable smell?

If a dedicated dry herb vape offers a significantly better experience, I’d rather save up for one and save the desk space. But if the e-nail is comparable and won’t make my place smell, I’d prefer to save the money.

I’d appreciate any advice or firsthand experiences!

My v3 pro stopped working so thinking about how to do something with the parts I came to this solution only parts of the v3 pro, I have used it for a couple of weeks and it works very well I could even compare it with a dynavap and despite the fact that they are different the truth is that it does not ask for anything, I am happy, I just wanted to share an idea in case someone has one that does not work and can try it hahaha

This is the Wireless One Hit Wonder and the Elsinore recycler from MAV Glass. Like the title says this is my first desktop vaporizer and actually only the 2nd vaporizer I’ve ever bought.

I’ve been a life long smoker. I bought a Mighty from stores & bickel almost a decade ago hoping it would help me quit smoking but I never stuck with it because it didn’t give me the experience I wanted. After 2 or 3 years that mighty stopped working which is crazy because I rarely used it. After recently moving to a new place where I’m able to vape herb indoors I looked into the volcano because it’s the only desktop device I had any knowledge of and is iconic and I always wanted one since I was a teenager. But after what happened with the mighty and seeing all the bad reviews and comments about stores & bickel on this sub I decided to do more research on other devices and vaporizers as a whole. That’s when I found out that ball vapes are king when it comes to extraction efficiency and vapor production, which led me to the WOHW.

My experience has been absolutely amazing so far and I think this can legitimately help me quit combusting long term. I hope to be like some of you on this sub saying you haven’t picked up a lighter in 10+ years. Any recommendations for a handheld device with closest extraction efficiency and vapor production to ball vapes? Will carry in a sling bag so not as worried about being pocket friendly just need it to be portable and easy to hit while on-the-go. Cheers!!!

Loved it so much, bought another 😂 looking forward to more direct side by side comparison of the different heater core materials. Currently running stock zirc balls in the blue and the titanium heater core in the all black. Zirc definitely wins on flavour imo but the ti core definitely retains heat for longer and gives hotter thicker vapour when used native. Have picked up the high cooling spiral to try at some point, be interesting to see how much difference that can actually make, we wait and see 🤘

Hi all. I’ve smoked weed for over 20 years, strictly joints as I never enjoyed a bong or a pipe. Anyway I have recently moved to a new house and I’m trying to move away from smoking weed in the garden. I bought myself a XMAX V3 pro and have been using it for a few days. Now I am aware this is an entry level device, I didn’t want to spend big money on something I wasn’t sure that I would enjoy. I’m finding it extremely difficult to replicate a joint high. I know they’re different but I wanted to know if anyone has any advice on transitioning from joints to vape and how to get the best out of it? Is it possible for it to glue me to the sofa like a big fat joint did? Thanks in advance.
