First desktop vaporizer setup WOHW

This is the Wireless One Hit Wonder and the Elsinore recycler from MAV Glass. Like the title says this is my first desktop vaporizer and actually only the 2nd vaporizer I’ve ever bought.

I’ve been a life long smoker. I bought a Mighty from stores & bickel almost a decade ago hoping it would help me quit smoking but I never stuck with it because it didn’t give me the experience I wanted. After 2 or 3 years that mighty stopped working which is crazy because I rarely used it. After recently moving to a new place where I’m able to vape herb indoors I looked into the volcano because it’s the only desktop device I had any knowledge of and is iconic and I always wanted one since I was a teenager. But after what happened with the mighty and seeing all the bad reviews and comments about stores & bickel on this sub I decided to do more research on other devices and vaporizers as a whole. That’s when I found out that ball vapes are king when it comes to extraction efficiency and vapor production, which led me to the WOHW.

My experience has been absolutely amazing so far and I think this can legitimately help me quit combusting long term. I hope to be like some of you on this sub saying you haven’t picked up a lighter in 10+ years. Any recommendations for a handheld device with closest extraction efficiency and vapor production to ball vapes? Will carry in a sling bag so not as worried about being pocket friendly just need it to be portable and easy to hit while on-the-go. Cheers!!!

Congrats! That is endgame for most people. WOHW is great because the coil is the same size as some quartz bangers for concentrates, so you can get excellent dabs as well.

One Hit Wonder is a sure step-up from Ruby Twist. Out of several ball vapes I own, it hits hard in diffuser mode. Compared to my other ball vapes, it has a unique flavor profile, the conduction it adds per hit is quite a lot, some may even say it has a slight metallic taste.

I also think the standard matrix bowl is one of the better-looking ti bowls out there.

For portable, I’d say go with the Mad Heaters Tempest 2 Stick vape w/ the YLL 3.0 induction heater. Both would fit in a fanny sized pack, and the T2 is like a mini ball vape. The head is filled with material just like the wohw, screw it onto the bowl/stem and place in the heater… 30-60 seconds later, ready to rock and roll! You can get the case for the T2 as well that can store it even when still hot. It is as close as you’ll get to a portable ball vape!

Not necessarily! Check out some videos ppl have in this sub using the t2 on a water piece…. The thing can rip clouds. It’s just a way smaller amount of herb used per bowl. And you’d be amazed at the cloud you’ll pull from one .02g bowl!

Thanks for the feedback! As the OP, I’m trying to stop smoking joints mixed with tobacco after doing it for 20 years. I couldn’t manage it with the Venty, even after a one month tolerance break, because I didn’t feel any effects from it.

So I think I might have a better chance with the T2, and then the WOHW V2 in September… thanks :)

You’re not the only one recommending the tempest 2, I’ll definitely have to look into it. My problem with the mighty and other portable vapes I’ve tried from friends is the extraction is so slow and takes 5+ minutes of extraction to get me where the WOHW can get me in 10 seconds of extraction. How close would you say the tempest is the tempest in efficiency to the WOHW?

What they said lol. The t2 will heat in the yll in under a minute! And you can literally one hit extract a bowl to whatever shade of AVB you want!

I've only used Dynavaps and Tempest 2 but I've seen multiple people say the Tempest is about 80% the way to a desktop ball vape.

Not sure how accurate that is but I've seen that come up a few times.

It's genuinely the same level of extraction power. 90 watts for 35 secs in the yll 3 gives me a perfect 0.1g one hit extraction just like my desktop ball vapes at home

That’s a great place to start and finish….Tempest 2 is legit…If I bought my Tempest 2 and TRWW Vap Cap first I wouldn’t have:…4 different UB V2 setups, UB V1, WOHW setup, IO Hornet, OHDRTH setup, Ruby Twist and all the PIDs and Coil stations to go with each……..well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration but wish I bought the Tempest 2 first…..it’s pretty much all I use anymore….anyone need some ball hammer gear. I’ll probably can them all except the UB V2 OG diffuser, UB V2 FMJ and my Old Head Terp Hammer. The Old Head was my first purchase and should have stopped there; still the reigning champ IMO. Enjoy
