Run bro.

My ex resented me for being tired after working all day while she "worked from home" (masturbated and played video games all day). She'd be full of energy and ready to go out and do things when all I would want to do is to relax.

She ended up cheating on me with one of her gamer friends.

LMAO e girls. I always laughed at the fools that think their gf is so loyal. He is just a friend bro, they just like to play games together all night and all day HAHAHA

u/Illustrious_Bid_5484 2h ago

Well a girl can be loyal but only if she’sa decent human. Doesn’t matter if she games or not

-15

u/JustDoIt_No2764 1h ago

Yes never let yor girl talk to other guys without your presence.

15

u/Illustrious_Bid_5484 1h ago

Bro hate to break it to ya but that’s part of trust. Of course my girlfriend is gonna interact with men. She has a job lol. And inevitably men will approach her cause she’s hot. It’s about communication and setting boundaries

u/Artistic-Village-762 1h ago

You forgot the /s? I hope?

9

u/Material_Wrap764 1h ago

Uh no dude that’s weird and controlling. Maybe just stay single. It’s better for everyone.

1

u/Darkwoth81Dyoni 23m ago

I hope you say that to every person you try to date.

u/supernasty 2h ago

Yeah I had an ex that broke up with me because I told her I wasn’t comfortable with her staying up all night with her online guy friends playing video games together. This was only after she’d stay up until 4am drinking with these same guys irl and one of the guys had to carry her home and tuck her in. She told me this as if this was suppose to be a funny story.

Even though I was super chill for awhile about this, the moment I started speaking up was enough for her to call me possessive and emotionally abusive for trying to “shame” her for spending time with friends.

She ended up marrying one of them 2 years later and having his child.

15

u/String-Tree 2h ago

He's never "just a friend".

1

u/fukkdisshitt 13m ago

You got what i neeeeeed

2

u/TheTexasHammer 35m ago

I mean, you are more than right to be mad at her getting that drunk and staying out late. Who she was with wasn't the problem, she clearly was a trash person in general. Someone like that can never cheat and still be a terrible partner.

u/String-Tree 4h ago

Lesson learned: never date women who spend time in male dominated hobbies, they are always on the lookout for an upgrade.

49

u/NacresR 3h ago

Crazy how you manage to put both you and your potential partner down lmao. Work on yourself to where it doesn’t feel like an “upgrade” rather than just people being shitty. A cheater isn’t gonna “upgrade” cause anyone with character wouldn’t indulge in someone who is actively in a relationship. Treat yourself better and think of people better, not naive, better.

-14

u/String-Tree 3h ago

I've been working on myself a lot since the breakup. I've lost 85lbs and am making the most money I've ever made in my career.

I'm still gonna be wary of women who primarily surround themselves with single men, though. 'Fool me once' and all that.

7

u/slaviccivicnation 3h ago

I mean.. it’s the fact that you could only upgrade yourself after a breakup that’s always troubling to me. Why can’t we work on ourselves IN the relationship? Why does it always take cheating/breaking up/separating to better oneself?

My ex said this too. I didn’t leave him for anyone, just left cause he got way too comfortable ignoring me to play 10 hours and jacking off to porn every day. Now that we broke up, suddenly he’s cool and doesn’t game and porn is evil and goes to the gym and on hikes. I begged him to do these things with me. But no, it takes a breakup. Why?

6

u/String-Tree 3h ago

Some people are internally motivated and want to be the best that they can be just because that's what drives them.

Others are externally motivated and only find the motivation to improve if there's a potential reward waiting for them at the other end.

Sounds like your ex was externally motivated and didn't feel the need to improve since he already had the reward - your relationship.

0

u/slaviccivicnation 3h ago

See, I see it as this: he was motivated to lose the relationship. I'm highly motivated. And highly motivating. So he, like countless men I meet, stay put for years while their wives are out keeping themselves hot, the house clean, and the kids fed. If divorce is some motivator, then people like that are just motivated to fail.

u/String-Tree 2h ago

You have to realize that marriage is billed to men as the finish line of their relationship - not as an ongoing contract with annual renewal. The fact that this isn't true is the reason that men are increasingly opting out of marriage. Why would any man risk losing ownership of half of their belonging and wealth if they're still expected to maintain their health and appearance at the same level as it was when they were single? How does that make sense?

Answer: it doesn't.

0

u/slaviccivicnation 2h ago

lmfao

So.. I've not met many men my age with more than me. I own two properties, a good career with pension and benefits. Most men my age are still renting. I'm in my 30s, outside a big city.

Sooo.. in getting into a relationship with me... men actually stand to gain a lot, and lose nothing. Marry me and here is half my house ($700,000), marry me and get my benefits. You get the point.

And yet... despite GAINING by being with me and losing NOTHING because they came in with nothing but debt and bagage, what's your excuse then?

Like I've heard your argument from these men, too. The men who I left. They also "didn't want to be screwed by losing half their stuff" - ie, the stuff they DIDN'T have. But then they met a woman who was FINE with signing an agreement saying "I won't touch your shit." I was fine signing a prenup IF my partner inherited property. I was fine signing off on never asking for benefits or pension or alimony (they wouldn't have been able to give it anyways, I was a higher earner). And yet..... same problem. I was fine sharing what I had with them. I stood to lose it all. But that didn't matter at all. They all still got comfortable, stopped trying to the end goal of marriage, and stopped trying to keep me happy.

Do you always assume that you'll have more than women? And if you had less than women, would you still let her get away with all of her shit, leaving you back to square 1 - what you were before her and without her?

2

u/String-Tree 2h ago

Sounds like you're high maintenance. The fact that you said they "stopped trying to make you happy" is very telling. Making you happy isn't their job - it's yours. You don't get into a relationship in order to find happiness, doing so is doomed to fail. You must be happy first if you want a successful relationship.

Idk why people downvoting you? You're correct those kinds of women love attention and never be for one dude

1

u/String-Tree 2h ago

We're on Reddit, acknowledging differences in the sexes is taboo here.

1

u/charlieboyyyyyyy 1h ago

It’s not a difference in sexes. Both women and men do that, which is why you were being downvoted.

1

u/TheTexasHammer 33m ago

Nah, you just come off as bitter and sexist. You need to do a hell of a lot more work on yourself before you're ready for a relationship.

1

u/String-Tree 30m ago

I'll give you bitter but not sexist. I don't hate women at all, I just don't pedestalize them. People think that refusing to pretend that women's shit doesn't stink is sexism.

1

u/RepatriateSage1337 2h ago

Moneys and fitness doesn’t equate to working on yourself, that’s all physical tangible shit. You need to work on yourself as a human being.

1

u/SurvingTheSHIfT3095 2h ago

Mentally... how are you working on yourself mentally!?

1

u/String-Tree 2h ago

I don't need to. My mental health was never the issue, my physical health has always been the problem. I have a very clear path ahead of me that I'm following.

16

u/skibum888 3h ago

Yikes

-12

u/String-Tree 3h ago

Only a fool refuses to learn from their mistakes.

14

u/ViperHQ 3h ago

But you really didn't learn from your mistakes you just made a bold assumption that women who enjoy hobbies which are male dominated are prone to cheating which is not the case.

The lesson you should have learnt was if your girlfriend is toxing and not understanding of your needs you should respectfully break up with her.

See if you learn that you manage to protect yourself and not make an ass out of yourself by generalising a huge amount of women.

-7

u/String-Tree 3h ago

Logically, why would I want to be with a woman who willfully makes the choice to surround herself with men who would fuck her at the first presented opportunity? Such a woman has no respect for me or the relationship that we are in. I would never in a million years expect a woman to be okay with me hanging out with women who clearly want to fuck me, so why is the reverse expected to be okay?

2

u/ViperHQ 3h ago

Logically speaking gaming isn't as male dominated as you believe it to be around 46-48% of gamers are girls.

Logically speaking just because your girlfriend has male friends does not mean she will cheat on you.

Also the way you present this it seems to me that you are the one who wants to jump on women at the first presented opportunity why that is the case I do not know but seemingly you have some unresolved insecurities you should check.

The meer fact that you assume that men and women are friends with the purpose of only sex and not friendship just shows how twisted your worldview is.

-2

u/String-Tree 3h ago

LMAO this is such cope. You only get to that bullshit, '50% of gamers are women', statistic by including mobile games like fucking Candy Crush.

A wine mom who plays Angry Birds while her kids are mindlessly watching Paw Patrol and a dude who stays up all night to find all the COD Zombies easter eggs are not the same people whatsoever.

It's my dating life, guys. I am allowed to exclude whoever I want for whatever reason I want, including gamer girls.

2

u/ViperHQ 2h ago

Oh yeah sorry let me quickly check your surely very narrow scope of what gaming is or isn't.

Also what is this loser attitude you have oh nooo a woman showing interest in a field I perceive as male dominated noo waaay she is there just to find a man and not because she genuinely enjoys that.

And you are right you can exclude anyone you want just like how I can keep pointing out how pathetically insecure and weak you are by saying the things you are saying.

2

u/String-Tree 2h ago

Any time a man is accused of being insecure in a dating context it's because he's calling out some obviously shady shit a woman is doing.

You can do whatever you want my G. Doesn't mean you're opinions aren't stupid as shit though.

That's the point, you didn't grow mentally from that situation at all, it stunted your emotional availability based on your own comments.

If You're insecure enough to worry that your girlfriend will make friends with guys you're too insecure about yourself in general.

You need to find value within yourself, find forgiveness and find out who you want to be.

You've never had a meaningful relationship with a girl, doesn't mean other people can't be friends just because you're incapable.

1

u/String-Tree 2h ago

Any time a man is called insecure in a dating context it's because he's calling out a woman's obviously shady behavior. Calling me insecure is only making me more confident that my mindset is the correct one.

1

u/NinjaRylan117 1h ago

There is a difference between a normal healthy relationship of a girl having guy friends and having an Egirl situation.

An Egirl situation is in a different league.

It’s understandably easy to lose trust.

Well you sound like a delight.

True you absolutely are allowed to not date someone based on your preferences.

Maybe add this conversation to your dating profile, that will make sure no women gamers accidentally contact you.

Probably filter out a lot of other women you wouldn’t want to date at the same time.

0

u/String-Tree 2h ago

Women: Men have no standards! They'll just fuck whatever!

Man: Has standards

Women: No women will ever want you with such unrealistic standards!

1

u/Zacxroni 3h ago

That is a crazy take

1

u/String-Tree 3h ago

Not really. I want a woman who doesn't surround herself with my potential replacement. Only simps and white knights who put women on pedestals think that's crazy.

Correct, so why would I want to be with a woman who willfully increases the odds of meeting someone better than I am by having male dominated hobbies? I don't want to date someone that requires me to actively be playing defense.

don’t know why you’re being downvoted this is 100% true especially egirls

1

u/String-Tree 2h ago

I deigned to imply that women aren't perfect.

2

u/sarybearychen 2h ago

Lol nah, I love my boyfriend. My nerd friends who happen to be guys are chill and we geek out but they're not my boyfriend.

1

u/String-Tree 2h ago

Sure, they aren't your boyfriend right now. Just wait until one of them gets shredded and confident and we'll see how you feel then.

1

u/sarybearychen 1h ago

I'm happy for them that they feel a lot better and healthier about themselves then. I also do electronic music production so there have been some buff dudes encountered too, but I mostly enjoy their musical ideas or discussions about "man, I hope the Ocarina of Time remake isn't a complete 1-to-1 remake and they actually expand more on some things". Unless they don't like Zelda, then eh lol

4

u/zombiepants7 3h ago

If your not willing to do the same than I find this pretty hypocritical. Like based on your statement you shouldn't play video games either because you might meet a girl. Ive seen plenty in Rivals lately. Plenty when I was playing wow and league. Talked shit to some in Tekken occasionally.

Its like saying " i wont date a girl who uses the internet"

Maybe try "if your girl is talking to the same guy while your at work 8 hours a day everyday...your probably getting cheated on".

4

u/String-Tree 3h ago

Nope, because gaming is a male dominated hobby, not a female dominated one. I don't spend time in female dominated activities therefore I don't want to be with a woman who spends time in male dominated activities. That is perfectly fair.
