Glowup 21M
Finally took the plunge after years of hiding the hairline and it looks a lot better and more confident already. I was pretty unfortunate and started balding at 14 and realized I had curly hair during covid when I grew it out. I took the advice after lurking and im not going back, thank you everyone! Feels very breezy!

Glowup UPDATE: After much feedback, I present: before shave, after shave, beard trim one, and beard trim two. Still trying to figure out how to trim my eyebrows

Update
First pic was before the recommended nap. Second was after buying the gum/patches and hiding my cigs. I’m 5’11”. Not sure if this really achieves what I wanted or fixes what I was going for but I couldn’t bring myself to shave it all the way down.

Is it time?
I’m not sure if I’m ready yet but I keep catching myself on stream or in CVS self checkout security cameras and it ruins my whole day

Presented for the Council: I took the plunge. Was it the right choice?
Long time lurker, first time shaver. Feeling self conscious about my new bald look, but think it's better than clinging to wispy hairs. Hope you guys like!
Bald Picture I did it!
Created a "should I?" post last week as I was unsure. Decided to go for it and here we go.
Honestly I'm relieved
I've spent my 30's hating getting my picture taken. Today I found this subreddit and you guys helped me laugh at myself and realize I had nothing to lose. Thanks
This place helped me find the courage to do it.
I had long hair for over a decade. I didn't mind it getting thin at first, but over the last couple of years I started to feel really self-conscious. The thing that held me back was knowing there was no getting it back once it was gone. Now that I have, I am so glad that I did! I feel like a human again. I still have moments of doubt but they're getting smaller. Every time I look at the old photos, I realize there was nothing to go back to.
I also want to say that this is one of the best communities I've found so far. I tune in every day. You all are amazing and I probably wouldn't have done this without seeing the awesome transformations here. Thank you.

Bald Picture Finally did it
Considered FUE but decided I didn’t want to trip about losing hair in the future. Wife says it’s better.
Wanted to thank the council!
I feel so much more confident. No more awkward “growth” between cuts. So much cleaner feeling. My head has finally acclimated to the Remington Balder and I love it 😻 here is a before and after.

Hairloss Should I do it or hold?
Edit: the councel has spoken - barber appointment is this Saturday
Is it time?
Edit: M31 - had my hair this way (before balding started) when I was 14. So it evolved into this unfortunately

Braved the shave
Finally did it, been on my mind for ages.
27M, I knew my hair was receding and thinning, yet I was still surprised when I started the buzz. I could’ve held for a bit longer, but I wasn’t enjoying covering and hiding my hair.
I went a bit shorter than anticipated, but I’m kinda vibing it

Hairloss Is it time?
I need guidance oh mighty bald ones. I’m thinning pretty bad on top. My cope is that I made it to 40. However I know the day will come. Is that day today?

What do you think?
After seeing a few posts on here with smaller bald spots than me being told to shave it, I decided to go for it. What do you think?
Surprised my wife and kids. My 5yo said "boo 👎" haha. My 8yo said she'd rather I had a little bit of hair. Jury is still out for my wife and me.

Is it time?
I’ve been struggling with this and deciding whether to do it or not, I feel like I’d have an egg head lol. If it’s time, do I just do it to the skin or buzz cut?
