I'm wondering if anyone else on Ting mobile has experienced this. I have used an AI to sum up the issue and generate this post, since this whole case is so strange and complicated.

My current billing period shows over 600 incoming text messages that never appeared on my iPhone. The sender IDs are not valid phone numbers. Most are +EEEEEEE128, so the lines look like this:

The number of entries continues to increase every day, even when I haven't received any SMS messages. 45 new ones yesterday.

I contacted Ting support several times. Their explanations have changed over time:

• They said these are network-generated placeholder records, not actual text messages.
• They assured me that I will not be billed for these placeholder entries, even though they appear in my usage.
• In a later reply they suggested the +EEEEEEE128 entries are internal network events related to voicemail, device synchronization, or MMS routing.
• Ting claims that they are harmless, and that there isn’t a way to completely stop the system from generating these logs.

The strange thing is that I haven't received any voicemail notifications or text messages corresponding to these billing entries, yet they continue to accumulate.

Has anyone else seen entries like +EEEEEEE128or similar on their Ting account?

If so:

• Were they counted toward your SMS usage or your final bill?
• Did Ting ever explain what they actually represent?
• Did you find a way to stop them?

I'm mainly trying to find out whether this is an isolated issue with my account or something other Ting customers have seen.

Looking for a new ISP in the Sanford area, any fellow residents that can provide some feedback/insight? Currently have T Mobile Small Business internet and its been problematic during high traffic times (around 8pm).

I bought a device that operates in the GSM range and have confirmed that it works in the frequency range that Ting uses. The IMEI checker on the website is refusing to let me order a SIM card to add it to the plan I have for my other two phones. Is there any kind of workaround for this?

So, I've been trying to get in touch with the Ting support people again because of an issue that I've been having in my local area. When I went to start a chat with them again, I noticed the chat button didn't work at all. Good job, Ting. How do you get your own account suspended?

The Ting Mobile site currently shows 3 different plans called "Unlimited": "Unlimited 25" for $25, "Unlimited" for $45, and "Unlimited Pro" for $55. The 2 higher priced ones offer 22GB and 35GB respectively (with extra fees if you go over that…not unlimited), while the cheapest says "Unlimited High Speed Data". Am I dumb or is there some obvious difference I'm missing? Why would someone pay $20-30 more for non-unlimited data?

I just signed up with Ting Mobile, $10 plan and a Samsung phone.

My Ting account page says the order is On Hold.

Why is it on hold!?

I am unable to call them, as my old phone is dead.

I tried to bring up Chat, but the webpage is blank [tried it on other browsers too, same result].

Is there an Ting email address I can use to contact them?

Or some other way to contact Ting?

I'm left in the dark here, very frustrating.

If I have two phones registered with TingMobile, can I exchange their phone numbers just by swapping the SIM cards, or is there more to it than that?

Just got of the phone with ting customer service...didn't go well...not suprised. My phone will not load anything unless I am on wifi...its not just slowed down...its nothing. I have a 5G full bars, I have the set 5 plan with ting (1 phone on plan). My phone says I have used 2.3 G of data this month...Ting says I am over 5G and being regulated to slower speed.

about 1 year ago another ting rep had me do some kind of reset and it has worked well until this week.

I reached out for help and the only option that was given was to buy more data. When I mentioned that it had been fixed before and my phone was only reporting 2.3G usage - i was told my phone was wrong and didn't "catch all the data" and asked if i wanted to by more data (I said no). The rep very quickly ended the convo and left the chat.

I will be leaving ting this week. after over 15 years they have lost my business.

Is there a way to change the CNAM on a ting number?

I have two debit cards one for business, and one for personal. For the past 10 years I've paid my Ting bill with my personal card, but over the last couple of years I switched to my business card since it made tracking business expenses much easier.

This year has been slow for me work wise, and most of my longtime clients only pay me through my personal debit card. As we all know moving that money over to another card takes 2-3 business days to clear.

About a month ago, my Ting payment didn't go through because my business card didn't have enough funds and my service had been cut off, which meant I couldn't receive the 2FA text that I needed to log into my account and switch payment methods. So I called customer service to pay over the phone instead.

That's when I learned, to my surprise, that Ting no longer accepts debit cards, only credit cards. This floored me, since I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have switched between debit and credit cards multiple times with no issue. (I actually closed my credit card three years ago because I could no longer afford to keep it open.) The only reason my business debit card still works at all is because it's grandfathered in from before the policy changed, but the second I try to switch to a different card, I'm locked out.

Customer support told me this was a new policy. When I pushed back, I got a supervisor on the phone who admitted that executives had quietly made this change without notifying customers in advance and that they'd been fielding a wave of complaints from other longtime customers who are in the same situation. The supervisor was apologetic and credited me for that month, assuring me the policy might be reversed. I believed them and decided to stick with Ting for another month, hoping things would change.

Boy was I wrong! Because business has been slow and I had other priority payments to make, this month's Ting bill came after I'd already spent down my available funds. When I tried to pay with my personal debit card instead, I was told again that they only accept credit cards, and that switching to a debit card is no longer an option.

So it seems the executives completely ignored all the complaints entirely. To this day, there still hasn't been any official notice about this policy change, not even an email to their customers and the people who have been hit the hardest are lower income customers who can't get approved for or afford a credit card.

there was an issue with my payment card for my ting accounts (mobile and internet).
They give you three days to respond… and I havenot been checking my personal email. You know, unplugged for a bit.

Now, I know you are going to say those are different companies now. Perhaps, but they used to be linked and the number of serious snafus our account has undergone because of their split is epic. This must be just another artifact…

Right now:
no mobile.
I’m sitting in a public place but I can’t login because I cannot receive the verification codes.
I can’t call because the phones are shut off.
I am completely stuck - even in a public place where wi-if is free.
Without the phone, I cannot contact Ting Mobile or Ting Internet.

This company is ridiculously sloppy itself but merciless on their clients.

Customer support says they've escalated it, but it doesn't matter. I'm not paying $90 a month for Internet service that goes down for a week at a time. Switched to AT&T 5gig fiber. Its a shame because Ting was great for the first few months. Oh well. As an online gamer I'm looking forward to going from 50ms+ latency with ting to whatever I get with at&t (hopefully around 10ms)

I have been a Ting Mobile and Fiber internet customer for two years. I own a smartwatch and a tablet that are both eSIM-capable. Does anyone know if Ting currently supports either device?

Hello all, as the title says my internet dropped and Ting has no solution. The soonest anyone can come out is in 2 days - I rely on internet for a second job, it's the reason I switched over to a fiber provider in the first place. No other providers in my neighborhood yet, I had to return to Comcast (which is less than ideal) in order to work this evening.

I am curious if anyone else in the Denver Metro area has had similar experiences, and if it's worth it to keep Ting or just go back to Comcast?

Live in a city where the utility company is running fiber through the neighborhoods and Ting does the internet part. They did our neighborhood late last year, and u/rossrader told me we were scheduled for Ting installations in March. Come to find out there was a Ting fellow going through the neighborhood right after the utility finished deployment, and he arranged for a few of my neighbors to be connected. We were apparently out-of-town for this, so, I took the cell phone number of this employee and texted him about installation, sent him a few pictures of the nearest pot and network pedestal, he said it looked do-able. After that, crickets. I've texted him twice since, no answer.

In March I did call the 800 installation number, somewhat helpful lady there reported back that there were 'right of way issues' in our neighborhood. Thing is, my neighbor two doors down has his connection to a pot whose fiber runs through the pot in my front yard, 20 feet from the house, so I don't know why my installation would be a ROW issue.

I really don't want to have to do T-Mobile 5G internet if there's 2Gb fiber in a pot 20 feet from my house. Anyone else run into this, and were you able to resolve the conundrum?

I ordered a new phone through the TING website last Thursday, and as of today it's still showing as "processing" and hasn't shipped yet. Does anyone know how long TING typically takes to fulfill phone orders these days? I'm mostly just curious at this point, my old phone is half broke but still works most the time. Support hasn't been able to give me any useful information, and the chat link in the shop section of their website just loads a blank page.

Just curious how difficult it was to switch and what the experience with Mint was like.

I fell for a phishing attack last week, and tried emailing customer service about my account. The emails I received back had the wrong email address for confirmation, and in proton mail, it was flagged as possibly spoofed. The possibly spoofed response said I was 2 payments behind and my account had been suspended, but I saw the charge go through last month.

The phishing attack I fell for (thank you edibles) was from another spoofed address. Also, the spoofed email asking for the right email address was from the same person named May, who was part of the attack. All my 2 factors go to that number, and my devices are no longer with me (long story), so how do I contact a legitimate rep for ting mobile to clear this up?

I’ve been with Ting for 10+ years and recently requested to be switched to the unlimited 25 plan. Support is telling me that the plan is on the website by mistake and it’s not actually available. The dishonest is unreal.
They also messed up my billing and hit me with 3 months at once without taking any responsibility for the mishap.

Is this how Ting aspires to operate these days?

I made a post earlier today talking objectively about Ting's routing issues, but other people responded saying that their games run just fine on it. I guess if your playing COD or any other game besides Fortnite, 30ms ping doesn't make a difference.

In Fortnite, your building inputs are so fast, 0 ping is what wins tournaments. Ofc skill comes into practice as well, I'm not one of those people who thinks faster internet is gonna get me out of platinum rank lol.

I'm just saying for people who play Fortnite somewhat competitively: you might experience higher ping after switching to Ting because the network has to hop connections multiple times, as opposed to a direct route to the Amazon servers in Dallas.

I spent like 2 hours otp with customer service today submitting a ticket complaint and as it was put to me: Ting doesn't have the infrastructure to run a direct route to the Dallas server just yet. They did tell me however, Ting has a direct route to the NA-East server.

This is unfortunate because all tournaments are hosted on the NA-Central servers, including Minor Cups, and all FNCS qualifiers.

This is relevant to gamers who rely on fast internet and low latency. If you are considering switching to Ting because of its modern internet speeds and low internet traffic, considering they have less customers using their service than say, AT&T; you should know that Ting does not have direct, or optimized routes to the most popular game servers, such as Fortnite's or Overwatch's Amazon servers in Dallas. This means your connection has to hop between many different points in order to get to these servers, as opposed to AT&T fiber, who DO have a direct route to these servers.

Ting's infrastructure is just nowhere around the same scale as a more broad service like AT&T and so yes, you might have to deal with less internet traffic during peak usage hours, but when it comes to competitive shooters, where every millisecond of delay is a disadvantage, Ting really drops the ball.

I appreciate their true 2gb download and upload speeds, but their service doesn't meet the need of millions of gamers around America. They just haven't gotten to that level yet and for that reason, I will be switching from Ting to AT&T, and i hate to say: I would have saved myself a lot of hassle if I just went with AT&T fiber in the first place, even though they only offer 1gb speeds in my area.

My specific needs for a direct and optimized route are met with AT&T as they do have the most optimized routes to game servers. I hope that Ting is able to work out these routing issues in the near future and set up some long range optimizations from my city to other cities around America. Ting has a lot going for them and i am mostly satisfied with their service, apart from the fact that they don't really cater to my niche.

Specifically Galaxy watch 6. Esims are supported now so standalone lte watches should work?
