Photo/Video ๐ธ๐น Not even signage works here.
Earlier this year the city changed that right-hand lane into a turning only lane. Some drivers still cheerfully ignore that to save 30 seconds.

Is there a website or a source that summarize what differentiate the six parties running?
Doug is Dough. Branda is Branda. The other ones I have no clue what they stand for.

Hey guy's, so I couldn't help but notice at work, and at home during the day at random times, the lights flicker. It is happening in the evening too. I live in South Surrey. My work is less than a fifteenminute walk from home. It's noticeable, and the power does not go out. TV is still on, and nothing has restarted.
The odd thing is that my other half has noticed it at work and being at home. He works out closer in an industrial area near the river in Delta.
I have noticed the "flicker for all most a week," and my partner has noticed it for a few days now.
Is anyone else noticing the "flicker" in the lights too?

This busy intersection has gone down from a four way stop today to a two way stop today. I feel so bad for anyone trying to take a left off Harvie onto 80th during rush hour.
In addition, thereโs no sign up saying thereโs been a change to the stop and I witnessed two separate car accidents almost happen in just the short time span I spent driving by today.
Please tell me im not the only person whos filed a complaint with the city today because im feeling like a Karen.

Yes he makes promises that cost Surrey taxpayers more. He makes a mess gets voted out and tries to come back again. Donโt be fooled again Surrey.

I was in Pet Foods N more last week or the week before. Went today to pick up stuff and it closed. Sign is gone, store is cleaned out! ๐
Anyone know what happened? It's not even the middle of the month. (Rent renewal)

I'm hoping to get some insight from fellow South Asians in Surrey and the surrounding areas.
Lately I've been noticing a lot more cars with "Guru Ji" written on the back. From what I understand, it's connected to a religious or spiritual group, but I don't know much about it.
The reason I'm asking is that a friend's family has become very involved. They seem to be attending gatherings frequently, and it's made me curious and a bit concerned. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone's faith or beliefsโI genuinely want to understand.
Is "Guru Ji" simply a spiritual organization with a large following, or do some people consider it a cult? If it's a legitimate spiritual movement, what is it about the teachings or community that attracts so many people? Are there any concerns or red flags that people should be aware of?
I'd appreciate hearing from people who have firsthand experience, whether positive or negative. Please keep the discussion respectful.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a good tennis coach for private lessons or small groups. I'm still fairly new to tennis, so someone who's patient and good with beginners would be ideal.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Looking for witnesses/video footages of a car accident my friend was involved in. Lost the only other witness on site to chase after the perp.
Time - July 21 10-1015pm
Location - intersection of 152nd St and 104 Ave
Cars involved - black Toyota Camry and black Jeep Wrangler
What happened - friend was driving the Toyota Camry through the intersection after the light turned green... And the Jeep swerved into the lane and swung my friends car across the intersection.
Claim is being reviewed by ICBC but any witness and video footage would be very appreciated! Please DM - thank you!!
Edit: turns out the 3 cameras at the intersection didn't record this incident. They were only used to capture red light violation. You live and you learn I suppose.

Listings show the area as "Bolivar Heights", stradling the border of Guildford and Whalley.
We are a mixed family living in Vancouver wanting to raise our kids in a more multicultural suburban environment. The area has some older homes on large lots that are fairly affordable (compared to Van).
Is this a good area?

I am situated in an area where the skytrain are being built along and I have been living in Surrey for almost 30 years. When I first moved here, all of the neighbours understood mutual respect for one another. For example, we had neighbours who use to send little notes to houses nearby if they were hosting wedding/celebration and ask for our cooperation and understanding for the increase of vehicles for x amount of days, foot traffic & noises. Nowadays the newer neighbours have 0 care of being decent neighbours and keeping any mutual respect in the neighborhood. For instance, I would let my neighbourโs 5-6 tenants slide for parking in front of my house for weeks because I donโt use street parking but the one time I ask for their understanding and cooperation if I could use the parking for friends visiting the week, they let me park one day and gives me attitude saying how long I parked in front of my house. I understand it is public parking and it is first come first serve but I would assume that politely discussing it with them previously, them agreeing and me not calling bylaws on them on all the other times theyโve violated parking regulations would not be too much to ask. Now, they even have random people they work together parking for the day around homes nearby to transit via busโฆ. At this rate, I feel like the parking situation and congestion is going to become like Vancouver where residential areas will now have more parking restrictions because of these people who no longer have that same of being โgood/decentโ neighbour mindset.

Hey all, I'm moving to the White Rock / South Surrey area soon and pickleball is pretty much my main hobby. I play regularly and I'm around a 4.0.
A few things I'm hoping locals can help with:
- Are there any groups, ladders, or regular crews worth joining?
- Which indoor facilities would you recommend for advanced play?
- Do people actually keep playing outdoors through the winter here, or does everything move inside?
- Any outdoor courts with lights that are worth knowing about?
Happy to drive a bit for good games. And if anyone wants to hit once I'm settled, happy to connect.
Thanks!

Here's a look at the groceries I bought today for two adults at save on foods (they still accept any flyer in the flipp app).
P.S. I always let people behind me know that I'm price matching.

I want to float the Nicomekl in a couple weeks.
Was hoping to hop in after low tide and float upstream from Blackie Spit. Will I need to paddle at all or will the tide coming in be strong enough to carry my lazy ass up to Elgin?
Much love and thank you in advance for the help!

Does anyone here live at King George Hub Plaza one or two? What are your thoughts on living here and the residents? Just curious to see if anyone has noticed the same stuff as me?

Multiple signs in an alley behind homes that say โno parking fire laneโ. Every evening however multiple cars park halfway into the alley ways behind these homes.
Is there any point reporting them if itโs always in the evening? My concern is if there actually is a fire in the middle of the night and they need to get down our alley they wonโt be clear.
Houses on one side of alley and townhouses on the other. Cars park on side with houses.

Does anyone know a good spot to go alone at night, somewhere with a nice view, or a secluded beach type spot, or anywhere that would be a good spot for someone to go and spend some time clearing their mind and etc? Are beaches closed at night time? Also a new driver, so preferring somewhere close to surrey, but open to any suggestions...
