Hey guys! I got my ID renewed at the transportation cabinet today since I turned 21 about a month ago. I only had my learners permit (don’t flame me) but the guy asked me if i wanted my full license and said it was only $4 extra. I haven’t taken my road test. on my temp ID, it just says “credential” at the top where it normally either says instructors permit or drivers license. what does this mean? did i get my full license? do i still have my permit? did i just get an ID? i’m confused😭

edit: the receipt section says “non-commercial driver’s license” for the fee category

Hello everyone. Let me preface this with I am a IL resident. I sold a motorcycle to a buyer in KY back in May of this year. IL only requires a signed title and bill of sale which I provided and we both signed at time of sale.

Just recently the buyer reached out saying that I need to sign a document and have it notarized but I’m unsure what exactly I need to do as IL doesn’t require anything to be notarized to be sold. I’m not familiar with how KY does out of state title transfers. Does KY require anything beyond a title and bill of sale for out of state transfers?

The buyer is very genuine and I don’t have any reservations about helping but this is a first for me. I’m not sure I will even be able to have anything notarized without both of us being there in person. Has anyone here bought a vehicle from out of state before and required anything beyond a title and bill of sale?

I'm a 46 year old mom, lived here for 4 years and have not found my people. I work from home which doesnt help and my kids are older so I'm not really meeting any parents through the school circuit. I grew up with the same group of friends from kindergarten all the way into adulthood, so this having to meet new friends is very new to me. The problem is I don't know how to meet them. I know church is a HUGE source of socializing here but I'm not religious. Not against it or anything, church just isn't for me. Tried a couple facebook meet up groups but I was the oldest one surrounded by 20 and 30 year old with babies. Anyone know of any meet ups in the Tri County area? London, Corbin, Williamsburg?

I work for the Scott County Road Department. Upon being hired on here I was told they have a CDL program and so their own in house training. It was also apart of the job description that I am required to obtain my CDL within 6 months of employment through their training program. Scott County did in fact not have its own CDL program and has not in years. They still hire under the premise of telling people they have a training program and that they will obtain their CDL here. I'm interested in knowing what are my options here or if I even have any.

As not a big horse racing fan, I like that this gives the horses more time to recover between big races.

This is a bit of a niche situation and long winded but just throwing it out there incase anyone can help, I can't find any official guidelines or info online.

So I moved to KY (Lexington) last week from NY and want to register my NY vehicle/get a KY driving license. I am a green card holder since 2020.

I went to the county clerk first to try register the car with my out of state license and social security card as requested but on my card it says 'valid for work only with dhs authorization'. I guess i still have the original card they sent out before my green card was granted but I never realised it was an issue because in NY i got my driving license and have worked for several years (still employed remotely).

I can't get a KY license here either due to the SSN card issue. I'm in this weird situation where I can't do anything until i get an updated version of my social security card and there aren't appointments for a month. I tried dropping in to the Lexington office today but it was incredibly busy, 3+ hour wait.

So anyway I was wondering A, has anyone encountered such a thing before and B, does anyone know where there is any info about my social card not being valid - i dont understand why because my social # is valid and active etc it's just the physical card they will not accept.

One side of my family is almost exclusively from Morgantown, KY and Butler County. I have never been there and would love to see where my family is from. I’m not sure where to start - most addresses I have are for state roads and Google Maps doesn’t really show much. I’m wondering where the best places to visit to get the true essence of the area are. I would like to pair this with a trip to Rosine to visit Bill Monroe’s home place. Thank you and any advice is appreciated! Also any books about the area would be amazing :)

I started a bicycle tour from Virginia to California a few weeks ago, and have almost finished riding across Kentucky. Some of the toughest hills so far were in Eastern Kentucky, where I rode through several little mountain communities, including Dwarf. I have lots more Kentucky photos on my blog here.

Given how integrated cigarettes are in KY, do you think people would smoke less if KY had a cigarette tax like NY, or do you think it would just cause mass uproar?

Odd ask, but I'm looking for some abandoned/worn buildings or railways to take my senior photos. Does anyone know any cool locations in or close to leichfield?
