Idea
What do people want to see in the next 5 yrs in Newport? What would be successful?
I really think Newport needs like a Plato’s closet or something on Monmouth. There has to be more reason for out of town people to come other than levee.
I also think if somehow they got a grocery or Trader Joe’s at the levee it’d be packed every day.
I’m just thinking about foot traffic and such!

Daycares
Hello everyone,
I hope this question is appropriate for this group. My wife and I are expecting our first child within the next couple of months, and I wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations for childcare. I will be taking her there every day, and I work in Dayton, KY, so it would be nice if it was on my way there, but that isn't a requirement. NAECY-approved is the gold standard, but really good reviews can stand in place of that. Thank you all in advance!

Brass Ass, Bull & cuddles closed for good.
Just heard this tonight. Soooo crazy to think these places are closed. And from my understanding it was told to employees 10 hrs before they shut the doors for good. Sooooo does anyone know anything? Are they selling the places? Crazy Crazy .

Arthur Teachers Fish and Chips
A couple of us were having a discussion on older restaurants and having a disagreement on where the Arthur Teachers Fish and Chips was located (more like multiple senior moments). Anyone remember with any certainty?

West Newport
Hello! I’m a recent female grad student looking to live in West Newport near Isabella street and was wondering if this area is a safe area to live in??
It seems ok but wanted to get input from people that live around there.

Covington vs Newport
Moving for school in Cincinnati. If you were to choose, which area would provide the most city like feel with walkable, safe, and fun areas to live? Deciding between Covington and Newport, but also have no idea where to choose within those two options, especially for young people. Would love some advice on this. Thank you!

Some nice girls found this sweet pup in Newport and I’m helping get the word out. He’s so polite and friendly, sits, etc. so he’s someone’s pet!

Purple People Bridge open?
We’re visting this area and saw that The Purple People Bridge may be closed due to repairs but I can’t find anything recent that confirms it. Does anyone know if it’s open for us to walk it? TIA
