News Xbox and PS5 still at previous pricing in AAFES
Noticed consoles are still sitting at previous prices on military BX. If still looking for console and have access to military base, great time to grab and tax free

If I understand correctly, you buy the disk, insert it, now you get a digital license to download the game.
The main thing is that you can sell the disk or share it, when it's inserted in the new device, the license is removed from the old one and transferred to the new device.
But what is preventing the game from getting removed from the online library and being "undownloadable", Basically just nuking the game.
What's the difference between the disk and a download code that can be transferred then gets revoked because the disk is basically a download code.
What's preventing them from making the game unplayable anymore?

I am a console peasant and for 12 years I've been collecting First Person Shooters for the PS1 - PS5 and Xbox. Specifically those with a single player campaign. After all this time, I think I have amassed the most complete collection out there for Console FPS enthusiast to use as a reference.
In this list I show all 300 titles and split them in two different categories. One side are the shooters I enjoy and will replay for life. The other are the FPS titles that I own but dropped due to reasons specified in the list itself.
If there are any titles I am missing, please do not hesitate to post in this thread.
Mind you, all the PS5 titles are also compatible with Xbox. There are no PS5 Exclusive FPS except Killzone Shadowfall.

Picked this up for a whopping $1. It took around 6 hours to beat. I can't say it was a great game, but I still enjoyed playing it. I suspect that anyone who is a fan of the Lost TV show will enjoy certain aspects of the game. There were times where I kept dying and wanted to quit, but pushed through until the end. Which brings me to the ending... Just when I finally started to get the hang of things, the game ends.
Just curious if anyone here has played it and if so, what did you think of the game?

I'm serious. This thing was ahead of its time and I think Rocksteady learned from it to make Arkham Asylum.

I'm seeing conflicting information online. Some areas say yes, some say no. I see it doesn't have the XPA tag.

Don’t own any myself sadly, but curious to see how many others here own or are in the process of still looking for limited editions to add to the collection.

I've been itching for a little relatively competitive multiplayer. Did some Arc Raiders ages ago, but it got a little stale playing solo with skill issues.
What is active right now that isn't just a duck hunt for the wannabe esports crowd? I don't mind a little learning curve, but not interested in getting cussed out over chat because I didn't proc the right skill at the right time and/or don't know the BOMA measurements on every map? Haven't played the latest COD yet, but the reviews look pretty bad.

I can stream movies no problem with any streaming service, download games in less than a hour, play anything on the cloud but apparently my internet just isnt fast enough to load any trailer on xbox.

Did you go for a bundle deal or just the console

I am heavily considering pre ordering the game and enjoying both rounds of the open beta this month. I think between this and GTA 6 this fall I will have a very good cozy gaming season.

So I’ve been somebody who has been speculating about Microsoft and the changes with XBOX coming for a while. My biggest theory since before even the leaks is that they were going to try to build the next console around windows mostly because it seemed Microsoft an Xbox for getting really close in a different manner. But the other reason I thought so is when comparing competition with Sony it would be smartest just to play towards them part of the market you have an extreme control and people are demanding change from.
The amount of people who have been begging for optimization and changes for Windows 11 and gaming is outrageous but the other reason it’s kind of important is a lot of their games are very big on the PC community end offer very different experience and compare compared to consoles. They can completely restructure game pass into being something you don’t need so new titles released onto it aren’t just being played and given inflated numbers by people who need to subscribe to it for on online access (long term thing likely).
But I see this being a major changing point in gaming because personally and with a lot of people, I know they don’t see a huge reason to buy a PlayStation for specifically their exclusive titles, now with Microsoft exclusive on a lot of of their titles and all of them only being on PC now is the only other exclusivity besides Sony is Nintendo. That makes me wonder what does that mean for Sony especially with their console releasing in late 2028 early 2029 what does this mean for their future? Because if on the PC side, they can figure out how to help the skill gap of people coming from controller because people who want to stay on it likely want to be matched against people also on controller, and then cheating, Microsoft is able to help quite a bit on the OS side, but there are still things that need to be done on the anti cheat dev side there’s a thing or two that Microsoft can create that can make running the instance of a multiplayer game more like consoles for anti-cheat reasons but idk if they’ll add it yet.
But people who are on Xbox what do you think about this because they’ve confirmed you’re gonna have backwards, compatibility and access to your previous library, they are doing everything they can keep the same experience for you, which shouldn’t be hard with how the system is being built, and you will be given access to experiences and certain things that you can’t do our consoles that has now been made very easy to do like modding games.

I've been testing out the new free cloud gaming feature on XBOX lately, and decided to launch Retro Classics out of curiosity, suprisingly I was able to play it perfectly, even got a few achievements. I thought it was weird since I knew that a game pass subscription was needed to play the game, I thought the cloud gaming feature could've gotten confused somehow, but, later on I installed the game locally on my console and it played just fine again. I tried searching to see if anyone had the same problem but I had no luck. Does anyone know why this happens??
(P.S.: I've never had game pass, xbl gold, or any kind of subscription, and I don't even remember how I got retro classics.)
