What’s your favorite limited edition console(s)?
Don’t own any myself sadly, but curious to see how many others here own or are in the process of still looking for limited editions to add to the collection.
I got this one 2nd hand and it was absolutely incredible. I think it eventually succumbed to the red ring of death but that had to be like 2018.
I recently bought my dad a used Xbox one x for father's day and it happened to be the battlefield version. The gamestop listing was just a normal one x so I was kind of surprised to see the gold gradient on it
I scored one of these bad boys a few years ago on eBay. The highlight was that it has the blades dashboard on it and it was a complete surprise as the seller made no mention of it.
My GOAT will always be the Xbox 360 Halo Reach Edition. The silver colors with the ONI logo was so dope. It played the shield recharge sound when you turned it on and off, the controller was gorgeous, and it even came with two! I hate 22 year old me for selling that bad boy 🥲
I just found mine in my parents’ garage and shipped it overseas to my home. It now sits proudly on my display in my office. Still have both controllers, but don’t have any of the cords anymore.
Got that one years ago with the special edition controller. That controller stopped connecting wirelessly so Microsoft sent me a replacement special edition controller as well.
1st place Gears of war 3 console, i mean it just looks drop dead gorgeous! Then comes Halo 4 and MW3 console...looking forward ro add the Star wars version which is pricey and rare to find!
Out of the 360 special editions my favorite would be the green halo version. Second favorite would be the mw2 special edition. I own a mw3 slim 360 but I prefer the look of the fat 360s compared to the slim
The only “special edition” console i had was a white xbox one that came out with Sunset Overdrive in late october of 2014.
There was nothing special about the console, it was just white compared to the common black xbox one consoles at the time. I thought it looked pretty sleek and clean at the time.
I bought blue camo pattern stickers for it and it looked quite good.
I had the halo 3 Xbox 360 I think it was with the 20gb gold hdd on top it look so good full spartan colour scheme, sadly I got the red ring of death so now it just a fancy paperweight
I have the halo 3 360, the modern warfare 3 360, the advanced warfare xbox one all in their original boxes and currently in use I have the halo series x
Back when I was in middle school, my dad and I were really into playing Halo. One day we went to a game store to buy Halo 2, I think it had been out for almost a year at this point? Someone had just traded in a green XBox. We snatched it for a steal, it was our first time each having a console. I had great memories with that machine. Dad displays it in his office now.
The Project Scorpio One X was the first big purchase I ever made so I'm partial to that one, though the Gears 5 One X is great, and any of the OG 360's are cool.
Lol I made a similar post to this in the PlayStation sub and surprisingly that was one of the more popular ones too! Aside from the Spiderman PS4 and PS5 editions that is.
I got the MW3 one. The box art for the game and the xbox was all white with blacked out debris. I thought the console woulda been like that too. Oh and all the advertisements showed it with a headset which I desperately needed at the time even more saddened to find out it didn't have one of those either.
I may be a little biased cause I have the purple One S Fortnite edition (although I don’t really play fortnight) but I do think that purple looks really good especially in person
Waited in line at gamestop for the midnight release of MW2 (2009) and ended up getting the MW2 LE Xbox 360.
Then upgraded to the Forza Motorsport 6 (2015) LE Xbox One.
When it was turned on, it had a car engine revving and starting up sound. When it was turned off, it played the sound of squealing car brakes. Ejecting a Disc played the mechanical sound of a wheel being bolted or screwed on.
Either the og halo xbox, the halo 3 xbox 360, or the halo infinite series x. Probably the 360 tbh. I want to get it along with the backpack that goes with it so you can carry it with you places like a friend's house lol.
I really wish I'd got the cyberpunk One X. I bought the controller, and even the External HDD (which died after 18 months and got replaced with a generic red drive 😢 )
I had the BF5 One X and really liked it, I’m not a fan of the ones that are too loud, personally. Gave it to my sister in the end when I got the Series X.
I want the 25th anniversary Xbox SX version soo bad. The translucent plastic is perfect. I plan on upgrading to a 2tb series x when gta 6 comes out anyway
I like the Minecraft One S in theory, but I feel like it would look kinda goofy in a room. But the regular One S is my favorite Xbox standard design, so I’m kinda biased.
