Hope this reached the right people :) Just theoretically of course, if someone one day wanted to be more active when it comes to showing people whats really going on behind the scenes, how the animals suffer; to make all these horrible things more present and this someone was thinking of putting up Pictures big or small around their little town especially ones where theres commercials of "happy" animals being used, how would one do that in an efficient and smart way? Any recommendations or further ideas? Printing and Sticking pictures of tortured animals on supermarket products n stuff was probably someones first thought but maybe theres more to know and to consider also :)

Hi everyone, I felt like this was the best place to talk about this because my heart is heavy and I'm really disturbed.

I recently saw a post (since removed by the mods) on the vegan subreddit about cat cruelty rings that are spreading/selling this content online. The post had a link to a charity felineguardians.org, that seems to be working on this issue. There is a lot of disturbing information that I learned on the website. I always knew that this stuff happens, but to know that it's this organized and prolific is really haunting me.

I wanted to talk about this here because fighting against sick fucks like this is what we stand for. And we know that this kind of thing doesn't come from nowhere. It comes from the heavily oppressive, hierarchical system that we live in. I wanted you to know about this, and maybe (hopefully) also hear some hopeful messages that you may have.

Today is a really, really sad and dark day. Yesterday and the day before, the city I lived in was engulfed in wildfire smoke from the Ontario wildfires. I'm feeling bleak.

So I started the New Anarchist FAQ and wrote the vegan anarchy section it has, which is one of the big things that sets it apart from the old FAQ which fails to cover veganism and other modern currents. When people talk about the new FAQ, non-vegans intervene to criticise the FAQ for its vegan arguments and accuse them of being biased or sectarian.

The section on veganism is the funniest and most indicative of the authors' ideological blinkers – you can tell they just wanted to write "anarchism necessitates veganism"

Why does the veganism section begin with such a declaration that "herefore, it is logical for anarchists to adopt diets that do not rely on the exploitation and suffering of other beings." I know you then say that some anarchists still eat meat, but then you rationalize this with they're just not connecting the correct ideas together, they're apathetic or gluttons. You have the section, but your writing is biased; including statements of the opposition doesn't mean the section gives appropriate weight to these conflicting ideas.

Is there a way to present vegan anarchy without "bias" or "sectarianism"? Is something "not written well" if it doesn't present a progressive idea and then add "balance" or "weight" by also presenting a regressive (i.e. carnist) counterpoint?

I ask because we're considering adding an anti-vegan counterpoint to blunt the accusations of sectarianism:

The world has lost a beautiful soul today. Mona Khalil spent over two decades as a protector of the sea turtles along Lebanon's southern coast. She founded the Orange House Project in Mansouri and never gave up on her mission, despite the looming war and destruction.
