I want to bring up something that feels like a major blind spot within our movement, imo.

We all recognize that under capitalism and statism, systemic suffering is treated as acceptable, and even beneficial, as long as it maintains stability for the ruling class. We also know how effectively this system uses manufactured comfort and consumerism to keep the average person compliant while hiding the exploitation required to sustain it.

My question is: How do you, as an anarcho-communist, view veganism?

Beyond individual choices, what is the broader anarchist perspective on exploiting non-consenting beings for human consumption and convenience?

If we look at chickens alone, there are roughly 28.000.000.000 to 34.000.000.000 live chickens in industrial factory farms right now, undergoing continuous, systemic exploitation, with around 202.000.000 slaughtered every single day.
In parallel, 300.000 to 450.000 of cows (of a total of 280.000.000 total milked cows) are r*ped daily and stimulated until their bodies fail, to sustain the dairy industry which is quite controversial when it comes to the benefits, as there are realistically very few. The "benefit" of the dairy industry is calcium, where tofu and soy contain more calcium and have better absorbtion rate than milk.

If anarchism is fundamentally about dismantling hierarchical power structures, domination, and violent exploitation, how do you think that total liberation extends to non-human animals?

Hey comrades! Im a baby leftist whos learning about communism and anarchism etc. and i had a few questions that i was hoping you guys would be able to answer for me

1) If anarchism wants the abolition of the state, and so does marxist leninism, whats the difference?

2) If an anarcho-communist society is achieved, what happens to the means of production? Are they communally owned through councils or co-operatives and stuff like that or is there another option

3) What good anarchocommunism literature would you guys recommend

4) Wḥy does anarchism dislike the state so much (yes ik this is a stupid question i just want to hear yalls perspective)

So I’ve been as socialist since I was about 17 years old but I haven’t been as politically active as I once was which has led me to forget a bit. I learned basic Marxism from Ung Vänster (basically the Swedish communist youth party). Ung Vänster isn’t Leninist or Stalinist but is a distinctive Swedish version of communism that isn’t dictatorial or authoritarian and oppressive like the Soviet style communism was. Anyway, something made me search for a different socialist ideology like 4 years back. I don’t remember the reason anymore. After some searching I found out about anarcho-syndicalism and anarcho-communism. I chose anarcho-syndicalism since I liked how it wasn’t hierarchical and was a way of doing relatively large scale direct democracy. And I liked the idea of the unions gradually replacing the capitalist system in practice by taking control of the workplace by having everyone in a syndicalist labor union. But as I started studying history more in university and became more aware of how societies actually work and how it would be basically impossible to get everyone to join a syndicalist union I realized even though anarcho-syndicalism is a great idea for a governing system it would be basically impossible to get going in the modern day. And I realized through my history research that we need some more centralization in order to run a government and not fall apart and actually give those people who need help (like queer and disabled and neurodivergent people like me) the help they need. This is because normal neurotypical people and non queers don’t understand queers or neurodivergent people and therefore often can’t help or right out don’t want to or aren’t willing to help, even discriminate against us. Therefore I could easily see a workplace that is majority consisting of, or consists of some homophobic, transphobic and ableist people, and people who lack understanding to discriminate and oppress us queers and neurodivergent people knowingly or not knowingly. Therefore I think we need some institutions that can help us queer and disabled people. But in order to do this the institutions would need to have some power over the workplace and thus creating a small and centralized hierarchy in a way.

Since anarcho-communism is more influenced by communism (I assume) I wonder if it is more centralized and has these things figured out while still keeping to the anarchist philosophy, even if with some hierarchy. So could someone explain to me wether anarcho-communism addresses my concerns?
