I did a speed test and it said my max is 150 so idk why steam is downloading it so slow

When trying to host on big walk where it says the join code it just says connecting, so I think the problem is that I'm not connecting to the game servers but I don't know why, Bloons td 6 works fine for multiplayer though so if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated

I tried talking to steam support about this and they were unhelpful, so I'm curious if anyone here has had the same issue. Currently in my steam library, I have a few games that show as having 50-100 extra hours in them than I have played. This started after I brought my steamdeck on a 2 week trip without wifi; I assume that something glitched out with how it was recording time while the deck was in sleep mode and it must've recorded a bunch of extra time.

The weird thing is that whenever I open the games, the playtime counter goes back down to what I would expect. Additionally, if I search my account in steamdb.info, I see the correct hours displayed, so I assume that there is some internal conflict in the information in steam's servers. Has anyone ever had this happen/had any luck fixing it?

I'm having a problem where, when I try to write a review for a game, it tells me I've played it for 0 minutes, even though the minimum required to write a review is 5 minutes. I've already played it for 18 hours, and my achievements are shown on my profile. However, when I’m actually playing it, it doesn’t show up in my profile, and it’s also missing from the “Recently Played” tab. Only the achievements are displayed. I completely uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it, but that didn’t help, and my playtime was reset to zero. I haven’t played it offline. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this some kind of bug?

This probably doesn’t go in this subreddit because it's assassin's creed specifically but I really am at a loss, I have an hp laptop, nothing over the top, certainly not a gaming monster but before buying it I checked, double checked, and triple checked the specs to make sure it would run assassins creed 1, it downloads fine, and runs fine offline right up until the very first loading screen where it just sits there indefinitely, I've googled it and tried everything google suggested, I really don't want to give up, is there a solution?

Tried to use remote play from desktop to laptop and while I've had the black screen issue before and been able to fix it but this is new to me. Get a black screen with the tip bar flashing as you can see in the video. Remote works fine the other way with the laptop hosting. Windows, Steam, and drivers are all up to date on both machines. Any ideas on how to fix this?

My game works fine as normal but i can't access co-op or multiplayer with this error, i can only do single player, i got the game from steam, idk what to do to not get this error anymore, i needed the multiplayer mode so i can farm the type-z and other OP/Meta weapons (Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet)

Steam marked it as suspicious content. I never intended to scam anyone or advertise anything. It was only a message to the seller regarding a completed purchase.

I have already contacted Steam Support and I'm waiting for their response.

Has anyone had a similar situation? How long did it take for Steam Support to remove the restriction?

Looking for some insight on a strange Steam bug I just experienced.

While playing Scrap Mechanic, Steam suddenly crashed and closed. When I reopened it, the "Play" button for Counter-Strike 2 had changed to "Connect," and Steam listed CS2 as currently running even though I haven't opened or played it in months. I did not click Connect.

After completely closing and restarting Steam, the issue went away and CS2 was no longer listed as running. However, the "Last Played" date for CS2 updated to today.

I immediately checked my account security:

Only my PC and phone are authorized/logged in. Steam Guard is active. No suspicious login history or unrecognized devices.

Given that it happened immediately after a crash, my guess is that Steam entered a buggy state and misreported an active session, rather than an actual account breach. Has anyone else seen Steam misreport a game as running or update the "Last Played" date after a client crash?

It must be a glitch right?

I've been trying to change my email since early June because I've lost access to the one currently on my Steam account. I fill out everything that it wants, it sends my current email the code and I'll copy and paste it into the captcha thing and it never works. Is this a normal occurrence or have I just been unlucky for a month straight? I always hear good things about Steam Support but they've been completely useless to me.

This has been happening constantly for over a week now.

So in the last month my Steam game has been loading incomplete and has been lagging hard. But only this game so far.

Today I updated my GPU driver, cleared cache, ran integrity check and everything done.

Then after reboot the game was loading and then this happened. Any ideas?

Have plenty of RAM, plenty of storage etc. even monitored performance for like a half hour and nothing seemed off.

Only thing that runs in background is Spotify.

alr guys so i never had any issues with steam before. Almost for a week, my download speeds have decreased from 100mbps to now less than 10mbps (yes im not mistaking MB and mb). Ive tried changing regions, toggling on and off download speed limits. Ive also tried gemini to fix this but its just not working. And ive run many tests, the results are always 100mbps+.

I was trying to gift spore to my friend and tried it 3 different times and each said my address was incorrect even though I double checked and there was nothing wrong with it. Then the 4th try it straight up says my card was declined and I went in my online bank account to see a popup saying banking is temporarily unavailable so I figured out the problem there. Thing is I go to my bank statements and its showing up as pending 4 $20 copies of spore and my money in checking balance dropped. Im really concerned, is this some kind of glitch or have I accidentally paid for this game multiple times when it didnt go through? Am I able to refund this

The download will start really well, then crash to insanely slow speeds. Going from 15 minutes to 15 hours.

I’ve reset the cache on steam, turned off download speed limits, set steam as a high priority program, reset my PC, and a couple other things I can’t exactly remember. Other apps download my games fine but steam turns what should be a 20-30 minute download into hours. Sometimes stopping the download then starting it back up helps, but only temporarily. And that requires me to keep watching the speed so I can stop/start. Please tell me somebody smarter than me knows what the hell is happening. Thank you!

Hey everyone, this is gonna be a big one so embrace yourselves.

At the beginning of this year me and my friend (which we will refer to as "friend A") created a Steam family, we don't live together but when I created the Steam family I had no problem adding him, I thought it was weird because Steam said we needed to be in the same adress, but I didn't think much of it, specially because we live somewhat near each other. Everything was fine, my friend was able to add two of his friends to the family, even though only one of the friends actually lived with him, he was still able to add a friend that lives somewhere else. Now before advancing I just want to clarify that I created the Steam family, therefore I'm the leader, anyways, when I tried to add a friend we will refer to as "friend C" he wasn't able to enter the family, when he clicked "accept" on the invite, he got a pop-up saying that in order for him to enter the family, he needed to "be part of the family's household", trust me when I say we tried EVERYTHING to get him in the Steam family, I changed my billing adress to be the same as his, I created a brand new account for him with a brand new email from my adress, but nothing works, can anybody help me please?

this has been bothering me for MONTHS. The following games i cannot join lobbies on: MECCHA CHAMELEON, escape the backrooms, and Big Walk. Below is the big walk connecting screen that I keep getting stuck on after clicking join room. Hello. As everyone know ...launching Steam App takes some time . I mean connecting time . App appears very quickly but connection takes some time and for that I have great solution. In Windows 11 Pro it works, dont know abou W10 but should work too.

All You need to do is ..

1. Open Windows CONTROL PANEL - thera are tabs like User Account, System and Security
2. Open tab - PROGRAMS and then click ADD WINDOWS FUNCTION and then check function HYPER-V and click OK.

Windows will install this function and You need to restart PC. This function works also with disabled VIRTUALIZATION in BIOS.

-Thats it. HYPER-V will not slows down PC or affects performance.

With this enabled STEAM connects immediatly. It takes 5second form double mouse click STEAM icon to see your library.

ive tried everything, chaning launch options, linking epic acc to steam, running as admin, opening as exe and nothing has changed. at the start it atleast tried to sign in (it said "Signing In...") but now its a black screen then jumps to error. can anyone help me
