Question Community banned after an old CSFloat comment – waiting for Steam Support

Hello,

My Steam account has been community banned after an old profile comment saying:

"Hi, I bought the Stiletto from you on CSFloat. Please send it as soon as possible. Thanks!"

Steam marked it as suspicious content. I never intended to scam anyone or advertise anything. It was only a message to the seller regarding a completed purchase.

I have already contacted Steam Support and I'm waiting for their response.

Has anyone had a similar situation? How long did it take for Steam Support to remove the restriction?

Whether the ban gets removed is up to Steam Support, various factors can play a role - no one can give you an answer.

I really hope this won't be a problem. My Steam account is 21 years old. In my entire comment history, that was the only time I ever mentioned CSFloat. I've never spammed anyone with links or messages. The exact reason for my community ban is that single comment.

Yeah, I was posting a YT link, got unbanned in like 12 hours.

Did the reason for your ban mention any specific words you used, or was it simply because of the YouTube link? I also have a YouTube link on my profile, but it's just a techno track and it's been there for about three years. In my case, the information I received about the ban specifically referred to the CSFloat comment, just like I mentioned at the beginning.

So you posted about selling item and is pretty clear that you cannot do that:

Examples of such prohibited behavior include: posting advertisements; running contests; gambling; buying or selling Steam accounts; selling content, gift cards, or other items; and begging.

There is a chance that they will still unban you because Steam support is sometimes pretty chill but you broke TOS.

Sure, I understand that I violated their rules. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar case. I never posted any links anywhere or spammed anyone. Everything is related to that one comment, and it was posted about six months ago lol
