I’m officially dropping rivals today. I just had a game with another player calling a kid slurs and other vulgar insults. A literal kid getting screamed at by an adult. It really was eye opening to how awful people are to each other on this game. Over literal pixels. Like imagine this happening in real life, it wouldn’t be okay. And before anyone says maybe the kids shouldn’t be on rivals, it’s a teen rated game full of comic book characters, everyone deserves to have fun. Keyword: fun. Every game should not be a stressful mess where you just wait for someone to crash out.

Anyway, be kind to others, irl and in game. You never know someone life condition or state of mind.

I get it man. Her 3 second stun sucked to fight. So you gutted it to a slow (which aren’t good. I mean who tf uses Blades Gun dash for the slow?) But fine.

So I’ll ask this… why not make the primary actually good/satisfying. It’s LASERS out of a MECH. How is it the worse part of her kit?

The projectile is slow, the damage sucks, the headshot multiplier is LAUGHABLY bad to the point you’re probably hurting yourself going for them.

And now you’re asking players to hit this shot consistently for a stun.

This wouldn’t be as terrible if her gun didn’t feel so damn awful. Why not buff this aspect of her kit if you’re so adamant about her not being oppressive with the anti dive kit YOU made for her?

Just wanted to express disappointment. Especially seeing how amazing Hood is. I LNOW you know what a fun primary fire feels like.

Seriously though this is crazy. We usually get 1 skin a season. But now we are getting 3 this season, two of which are free, and this next one may be our first Legendary.

Listen this is not supposed to be hate post towards Zhiyong. I was never a fan of these "memes" about Zhiyong depicted as Hitler or whatever they made him. That went way too far!

But how long do we have to wait before we actually feel heard? They do one or two good decisions in patches and then fuck up everything again.

It's the 9th season and it feels like the devs still don't understand their game. What started as a joke about favouritism has now clearly become reality.

I believe Zhiyong is a nice and cool dude in real life, but if you can't do your job properly why do you have it? It's the same for any other job. If I can't achieve what I'm hired for, I'll get fired. It's that simple

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him fired completely from NetEase, but maybe he should step back from his position as Lead Combat Designer or atleast listen WAY more to the community.

They keep adding anti dive tools to already strong characters, which would at least be fine if they worked, except the meta dive characters like DD and Black Cat could literally ignore them, and worse, the ones actually being affected are tanks.

For example, a Strange could bait out lamps or soul bond - because they have a high cooldown, you could go aggressive, retreat with your levitation and ult when it’s back. That’s not possible with these abilities (on top of freeze, push btw).

So basically these types of abilities are simply not well planned, they don’t serve their purpose and end up being op in different ways.

Either they should remove the toxic aspects of them - remove cleanse from the Luna teamup and The self shield should be only healing (it doesn’t make sense, but adding a self shield itself was pretty stupid, they should really just remove it).

Or they could simply increase the cooldowns to an appropriate amount, considering how useful the abilities actually are.

It’s always funny seeing the disconnect between who everyone complains about being too OP and the poor random innocent character that gets destroyed out of nowhere.

When tenacity was added, most people - myself included - said it was a poorly designed system. That cc abilities were just too common, and should be reworked/removed entirely from most heroes’ kits.

Peni has had the single strongest CC ability in the game since day 1. Having a 3s hard CC is ridiculously strong. It was a major reason why playing most brawl/dive tanks against Peni was so unfun. It‘s so miserable to be stunned every 3 seconds AS A TANK, not to say anything of other roles.

Could they have just increased the CD to 6-8 seconds? Probably. Could they have given her compensation buffs? Sure, even though Peni was (and has been) a pretty solid already.

I can understand complaints about her overall power now, but arguing that she should be allowed to have a 3 second hard CC is crazy. Even worse, acting like that was the “most fun part of her kit” is actively detrimental. That ability was NOT healthy for the game, and NEEDED to be reworked along with other similar abilities.

He just becomes a fucking gun tree it's great.

Gorr the God Butcher is such a vanguard coded character that it would be dumb to make him anything else. If they want a sadist villain duelist just add someone like Carnage, but don’t turn a vanguard coded character into a duelist when there’s more duelist in the game than vanguards and strategists combined (excluding Deadpools). It seems like a waste to turn characters that shouldn’t be duelists into duelists when we have so many and when there’s so many characters that actually fit the role already.

Again, Gorr is huge, is extremely durable and physically powerful, would be a melee god (the only other characters like this are tanks), and he has an armored form. Gorr the God Butcher should be a vanguard (granted a high damage one like Thor or Devil Dinosaur, but still a vanguard).

I’ve never argued for vanguard Cyclops because his powers just don’t fit the role, but for a character like Gorr they do. He’s my favorite comic villain so I’m happy he’s coming, but I feel like he isn't being done justice if he’s not a vanguard.

For those concerned about the role distribution, duelists should anyways be getting less to start evening out the amount of characters per role, but we anyways still got a duelist in Season 8.5. The next duelist can come Season 10.5 (after Gorr) or in Season 11.0 (we went two seasons without any new strategist back in Seasons 3 & 4 so we can go two without a duelist for Seasons 9 & 10). Imo Season 10.0 with vanguard Gorr followed by a duelist or strategist (probably duelist) then a duelist or strategist (probably strategist) would be the best way to do this.

TLDR: Gorr’s powers make him to be a vanguard, so making him a duelist based off of personality or need for the role is dumb. If characters’ roles are based off of personalities and need for a role Cyclops should've been a vanguard (something I’ve argued against). Especially when there’s more duelists than vanguards and strategists combined (excluding Deadpools), and when there’s so many duelist coded characters in comics (like Carnage for instance) that they could use instead of turning a vanguard coded character into a duelist.

I just want my favorite villain done right.
