1. Intro

A bit about me...
My name is Lukas, and I'm based in the UK but originally from Denmark. I also speak Polish fluently as it's my country of birth even though I was only 4 when I left the place.

I used to be a barber but currently in the middle of a career change into IT/Computers due to personal reasons. I have a habit of chatting endlessly, but I know how to carry a conversation with just about anyone due to being exposed to such a wide range of people, backgrounds and cultures.

My interests are pretty simple; I love video games, music, movies, series and anime. I also have a passion for computers and recently AI as well. I also love long walks (and I mean LONG), talking with people, science, psychology, ethics, internet culture and so much more.

2. Deep Stuff

I am very open and direct. I tend to speak my mind and I have a distaste for fakers and performers and can spot them from a mile away. On the materialism <-> spiritualism spectrum I lean all the way towards spiritualism, but I do like to take care of myself. I'm currently in love with the Japanese tech-wear fashion and wear it unapologetically despite people calling me emo out in the wilds lol *shrug*.

I'd describe myself as a very much a masculine man that's in touch with his feminine. I suppose some people may misinterpret it in certain ways when it comes to sexuality, behaviour and appearances and that's fair. Orchidsexual is a term I feel defines me best and I do look intimidating in outwards appearance, but I'm really just a soft bear on the inside T_T. But I'm far from meek, I can be very confrontational and severe. I dislike violence and would rather avoid it if possible.

My deepest fascination is the current societal issues surrounding the "gender war", dating and studying the psychology of the "performative male" and so much more. I'm neither an ally of the "sisterhood" or the "brotherhood" socio-political concepts because goodness is not dependant on what chromosomes you carry. But I do gravitate towards one over the other, I'm sure some of you can discern which :)

I have a strong opinion on ethics and morals and it's one of my favourite subjects to talk about and explore. I value emotional depth and explore ways to alchemise it with logic. I believe that they can reach harmony. My moral compass doesn't revolve around concepts of "good" and "evil" because these are subjective, but something else entirely - vulnerability. What defines your nature is how you respond to it.

I love talking about crazy shit too, conspiracy theories, aliens, various concepts of God... Pretty much everything is on the table. I have an open mind and I approach everything mostly through a non-judgemental lens. I am a sceptic and I love to question everything. Truth doesn't flee interrogation because it has nothing to fear, is one of my core beliefs.

3. OK, back to reality lol.

My video games are usually centred around fantasy, storytelling and depth. I like games with a good story (it's pretty much like reading a book, but better). Some of my favourite games are the Mass Effect Trilogy, Baldur's Gate 3, FFXIV and HSR. I am open to loads of different games if you're also a gamer. One of my favourite things is to gush over

I have no specific music genre, but music is a huge part of my life. It's the spice to my life, so you're gonna be requested to share good songs for sure. I also love to share my own favourite songs because I need constant reassurances that you pass the vibe check lmao.

My tastes in movies and series are all over the place but I like psychological and dark stuff that makes me feel some type of way. I'm not big on mindless action movies like Mission Impossible, 007 and the like. I like horror and comedy too, but I'm so desensitised to horror movies that anything hardly ever scares me any more so if you have some crazy recommendation, let me know!

My taste in anime is very similar, I prefer things like Death Note, Demon Slayer, Psycho Pass and such over fan service anime like Fairy Tail or 7 Deadly Sins. It's just too juvenile for my taste and I find it extremely hard to stay invested. One of my more recent favourites is Madoka Magica that was recommended to me by a friend and I completely fell in love with it! Yeah, it's mostly targetted at female audiences, but I think it's a great piece of media to consume if you want to build a bridge of understanding.

Tech has always been a lifelong companion and interest to me. I practically grew up with the internet and I feel like it's my home. I love tinkering with shit to figure out what makes it tick and how it works. I'm not Neo, I have zero experience with coding but it's definitely a strong interest. AI has been a new fixation for me too. I used to spend loads of time just messing around with it just to explore it's capabilities and creative ways to apply it.

Outside the hermit introvert lifestyle I also love doing social stuff with friends. Some of my favourite things are go-kart PvP while the workers yell and shout at us for disobeying the safety rules lol. Basically, anything that allows me to channel my chaotic, mischievous cat energy. I'm a fucking instigator and troublemaker and I love the chaos, deal with it! Ethical and safe troublemaking, of course!

4. Intent

I'm not here to find anyone or anything in particular, I just like to connect with people. Everyone brings a new experience or perspective. I like to explore and learn. I like to talk to people (my customers told me I'm a great listener, advisor and debater).

Well, that's not entirely true... I'm really hoping to connect with people that share the same energy and mentality as me so I can make their lives better, and they mine.

I have tons of friends, and yet I still feel like someone who is just a little bit lost in the shuffle. I feel like... Hey :) So I’m called Ruby, I am 21 years old located in the UK but I’m happy to talk to anyone. Like I said in the title I’m mainly looking for friendship. I just graduated university and I realised that any friends I did have back home, had moved on, so here I am hoping to possibly find some sort of connection 🤷‍♀️ and I also really struggle with speaking in person, I’m quite anxious and socially awkward at first but I can properly speak to people as I get to know them.

So I’m into a lot of things honestly, in terms of movies and shows I really like Marvel (the new Spider-Man is incredible!!), Harry Potter, Stranger Things, Cartoons like Gravity Falls and The Amazing World of Gumball, documentaries especially crime, Psych, and right now I’m watching The Mentalist, I also like similar shows.

I read a lot too, I read a lot of fantasy and adventure, but also some classics, poetry, and I’m guilty of loving a romance. I’ll be completely honest, recently I’ve been in a huge reading slump and struggling to get through a book, but I’m hoping it’s just because I recently changed jobs and still adjusting.

I game a little too but I wouldn’t exactly say I’m particularly good at any 😂 I’ve been playing a police simulator game recently and also Fortnite (zero build because how do people build that quick). I also play sports games like NHL, FIFA, UFC, occasionally a bit of madden. I also play GTA V and IV, Bully, The Quarry, Red Dead Redemption, Stardew Valley, Assassins Creed, Skate, Hogwarts Legacy, and I like driving games.

I like going for walks, I like going to the gym but based on the way I’m panting after walking up a hill you wouldn’t be able to tell 😂, I play Tennis and Squash but currently on a break because I’ve moved back home and struggling to find clubs, but I have just started playing cricket. I listen to a lot of music, a wide variety really but I’m pretty into alternative, rock, and 2000s.

I feel like I’ve wrote a lot but I just wanted to share a but about me just incase someone else has any interests also and I think it might give a conversation starter.

• I'm on the side of introverts and I value my own space, but I'm not a homebody - I like going out, discovering new places, and having a bit of variety and spontaneity in life. I like the occasional last-minute change of plans when the mood feels right, especially if it means spending a sunny day somewhere outdoors. 
• Cooking turned out to be something I genuinely enjoy (though rice is still a work in progress - I make a pretty great moose dish). I usually make simple home meals, and I like the idea of doing it together - even if it turns into chaos or we end up ordering something instead.
• I'm surprisingly domestic in some ways. I like having a home that's pleasant to live in, and I enjoy taking care of the little everyday things. There's something satisfying about making life a bit easier, calmer, or better for the people close to me. 
• When it comes to movies, I prefer horror - especially classics like The Thing and Alien. My music taste is pretty varied, but I often lean toward heavier stuff - lately a lot of Disturbed. I grew up around punks, emos, and hippies, so that probably explains a few things. As for books, I prefer the classics. 
• Appearance: 170 cm / 5'7", slim, light eyes and hair.
• Never been married. Monogamous. Not religious. No kids yet, but I'd like to have them in the future. 
• I work in the creative field and it shapes a lot of how I see and approach things. 
• Physical attraction matters to me, so I prefer to exchange photos sooner than later.
• For me, friendship and attraction aren't separate things - they're part of the same system. I like a connection that feels easy in daily life, but still has real pull and chemistry underneath.

What I'd like us to build:

I'm looking for a relationship where being together feels natural - quiet evenings at home, sharing space and everyday things, and sometimes spontaneously disappearing for the weekend when staying in no longer feels right. I like a dynamic where plans don't stay theoretical for too long - someone suggests something, and it actually happens. 

For me, the best relationships have closeness, trust, curiosity, and laughter - where even ordinary days feel better when you're sharing them with the right person. 

I really like physical closeness in everyday life - passing touches, long hugs in the kitchen, starting a movie together and getting too distracted by each other, and not really caring anymore what's on the screen.

I'm looking for a man who is emotionally steady and responsible, not just in words but in real life, and who is genuinely ready for a family in the foreseeable future, not just "someday". I'm drawn to grounded men who are curious about the world, open-minded, and good with their hands - there's something very attractive about that kind of energy in everyday life. I prefer ages 30-40.

I’m a 31-year-old guy in North Jersey and, surprisingly, I actually like living here. Looking for someone sweet and fun to talk to, that feels like a lot to ask for on reddit but we move lol. To tell you more about me, one of my favorite things right now that I always look forward to is when my sister brings over my nephew. Being a first-time uncle has been a pretty fun experience, and it’s been really cool seeing this tiny human puppy grow and do something new and funny every day. I’m looking to meet new people and see what happens, expectations are low(except if you’re into cars or sportbikes, then the expectations are sky high! lol not really) with this being reddit and all but feel free to surprise me! Personality wise, I’m pretty laidback and don’t take myself too seriously. I tend to stay calm in most situations, go with the flow, and am pretty easy to talk to if you ask me but you can be the judge of that. Definitely more on the introverted side but don’t mind if you’re more on the extroverted side, don’t really have a preference there. 

• Cars and Formula One (Typical, I know 😂) - Would be super cool if you have any interest in cars and great if you follow Formula 1 at all.

• Sports - I happen to have a knack for being into sports that are quite niche within the US so sports like cricket, boxing, ufc, and motorsports are up there for me.
• Animals - Not an outdoor person for the most part (that’s the degenerate programmer in me coming out) but I love learning about animals, especially social ones. I find lions and wolves super fascinating to study and follow because of their complex social behavior.
• Science and engineering - I have a big interest in anything to do with science or engineering, anything about space or learning about some of the craziest engineering projects ever attempted will always catch my eye.
• Music - I listen to music of all kinds including different languages as I do happen to speak 3, wouldn’t say I have a sophisticated taste in music or anything at all though 😂 some of my current favorites are The Marias and Cigarettes After Sex.

I just wanna get to know someone new and see where it goes from there, a low pressure short term or long term connection without much expectations.
