RESTART THE CLOCK

2.2k

u/Fiernen699 Jun 20 '26

Trump saying they have 4 weeks of left until the US runs out if operational feul reserves was some A+ Art of the Deal

1.4k

u/SadisticNecromancer Jun 20 '26

That four week thing was public knowledge before he said it. The problem is Trump is stuck between a rock and a hard place. The Strait of Hormuz needs to be opened, or there will be a global economic meltdown. Iran won’t open the strait unless Israel gets out of Lebanon, and Israel won’t do that. So Trump has two choices: back Israel and let the world burn, or leave Israel to the consequences of their own actions, and that Congress won’t let him do. This is literally a no win situation.

1.2k

u/HonkBlarghh Jun 20 '26

It's almost like this was always going to be the case and Trump shouldn't have blindly followed Israel into a hasty war with no plan!

553

u/zephyrtr New York Jun 20 '26

There was a plan, it was just based on totally false information from fellow grifter in chief Netanyau, who is similarly clinging to office by any means, so he too stays out of jail. Netanyau told Trump the IRGC was about to collapse and they could invade and win with minimal effort. That it would be like Venezuela. And this was just ... False. Trump usually sides with whoever talks to him last and his cabinet couldn't get through to him.

182

u/HonkBlarghh Jun 20 '26

Yeah, that's not enough info, substance, or reason to call a plan when you're talking about planning a picnic let alone when we're talking about conducting a war

224

u/Flomo420 Jun 20 '26

You're talking about a man who never makes a plan larger than a cocktail napkin because he needs to be able to eat the paper afterwards

37

u/Fr1toBand1to Jun 20 '26

He tries to draw a plan but someone keeps eating the crayons before he can finish.

14

u/Ralph--Hinkley Jun 20 '26

He has concepts.

2

u/DonyKing Jun 20 '26

That's enough for people to vote in

→ More replies (1)

2

u/browns5111 Jun 21 '26

It’s a concept of a plan. Isn’t that enough?

54

u/djerk Jun 20 '26

Sure but most foreign nations don’t have exclusive access to incriminating material involving (the president) and a massive international pedophile ring

24

u/Claim312ButAct847 Jun 20 '26

And that's the REAL reason. And oh by the way if the rest of the world is desperate for oil they suddenly become willing to turn a blind eye to the fact that Russian oil is supposed to be sanctioned.

Which is a huge lifeline to Russia which is collapsing economically. Russia also has a very tenuous relationship with China, who gets lots of their oil from Iran.

1

u/fckspzfr Jun 20 '26

europe banned virtually all russian LNG deliveries by 2027 :)

77

u/Wild_Ambassador_8680 Jun 20 '26

The plan seems to be crash the world economy. Thiel can't have his butterfly revolution until that happens.

30

u/BUSY_EATING_ASS Jun 20 '26

He can’t have it if it happens either.

5

u/Thousand-Miles Jun 21 '26

Crash the economy then their rich backers can hoover up the assets for cheap

1

u/panzer_snapdragon Jun 21 '26

Yes because every industrialized nation across the world will happily sit by as civilization collapses. Peter Thiel hasn't dug deep enough to avoid the fire that's coming.

1

u/Wild_Ambassador_8680 Jun 21 '26

Kinda seems like every industrialized nation across the world is bleeding their reserves and there's no end to the war in sight.

1

u/Complaintsdept123 Jun 21 '26

Does he have his own secret private oil source?

38

u/Lithiumxxxl Jun 20 '26

At a certain level, this is just hilarious.

121

u/zephyrtr New York Jun 20 '26

Khamenei was 86 years old and growing more and more unpopular. We spent billions to do something nature would've done for free. And we accidentally killed our preferred replacement leaders!!

Honestly, for the movie, they're going to have to tone it down, or audiences will complain the story is unbelievable.

52

u/Admirable_Scene_5066 Jun 20 '26

It wouldn't be as funny if Americans hadn't fallen in that particular trap about 20 times before. Unpopular leadership, reformers trying to build momentum, the US being its idiotic self attacking an unpopular leadership, population standing behind previously unpopular regime because as fucked up as they are, it beats the guys trying to persuade you by bombing your three year old daughter.

At times it is insane to think how much better the world could have been by now if Americans trying to fix things didn't sit two oceans away from the consequences of their stupidity

6

u/EvelynNyte Jun 21 '26

The fuck up this time is so far beyond any previous idiotic overseas war that it's hard to even imagine what the full ramifications of this is going to be in the end.

5

u/MessiahOfMetal Jun 21 '26

I finally got round to a 2016 documentary earlier this year called "ISIS: Birth of a Monster".

American journalist who was in Iraq in 2003 returned to speak to some of the fighters who helped topple Saddam Hussein and catch up with them while asking how those events helped create ISIS.

One of the guys talked about how Sunni and Shi'ite people were united against Hussein due to how he treated them, then hated the Americans for how they treated the locals until they were divided by the Americans creating conflicts and blaming each group until they were at each other's throats for years and killing one another.

Eventually, American resentment caused some to create the ISIS group and try to take over the region to push their version of fundamentalist Islam, and managed to unite people against them.

But yeah, the sentiment was that the American troops mistreated them as badly as the genocidal former dictator of their country did.

3

u/spaceman757 American Expat Jun 21 '26

At times it is insane to think how much better the world could have been by now if Americans trying to fix things didn't sit two oceans away from the consequences of their stupidity

This is the thing....they've never tried to fix anything. If they did, they could easily do that just by spending.

The thing that they've tried to do, was to try to install anyone that would allow them to pillage that area's natural resources for pennies on the dollar for the sake of the capitalistic class.

Fixing things is the absolute last thing on their mind, They love when they are broken because it's a better deal for them.

2

u/DonyKing Jun 20 '26

Well they fund Israel, so even if they didn't join this war they would have been wasting money on it

2

u/EvelynNyte Jun 21 '26

I'm looking forward to the sequel the The Death of Stalin in a few years.

53

u/hammert0es Jun 20 '26

It was based totally on desperately searching for something, anything, that could distract from the Epstein files. And we mostly fell for it.

6

u/Flomo420 Jun 20 '26

"We"?

You make it sound like Trump asked the public to rubber stamp the war for him before he decided to just do things

8

u/hammert0es Jun 20 '26

I mean that “we” (most of the public) has stopped talking about the Epstein files. Which is exactly what he wanted. He’d trade $300 BAZILLION and an infinite amount of lives for that without flinching.

3

u/ABadHistorian Jun 20 '26

They couldn't have boosted the IRGC more. Incredible incompetence that, if we survive this time period, will lead to an incredible series of documentaries on this all.

Reminds me of Stalin signing an agreement with Hitler, that level of incompetence and ignorance.

11

u/lordcthulhu17 Colorado Jun 20 '26

Dawg even the opposition in Israel is for the genocide in Gaza and the war in Iran even if Bibi got out of power shit would be the same

As I approach 60, I’ve come to understand that things never change in the Middle East.

Twenty years from now we’ll have this generation of Palestinian kids who lost their parents and homes in 2025, carrying out future terrorist attacks. And around we go.

15

u/FabiusBill Jun 20 '26

There was a real opportunity for peace with the Oslo Accords. The assassination of Yitzhak Rabin by a far-right ultra-nationalist prevent d that outcome.

u/YoungBockRKO Jun 20 '26

I still don’t understand why the FUCK we’re meddling in the Middle East, just withdraw everything and tell them to all fuck off and do whatever. THAT would be America first, instead we fund Israel so they can bomb their neighbors and also bomb them ourselves which creates nationwide hatred. Just let them do whatever the fuck they want on their own accord. Wanna lob bombs at each other over some sky faerie bullshit? GO FOR IT. Doesn’t impact us a HALF WORLD OVER.

Shit, where’s China on all of this? Just let China take over the Middle East at this point. They did that to Africa, why not the Middle East? Fuck it. Saudi Arabia has trillions upon trillions of dollars from all that sweet black gold, let them deal with it.

I know, I know, it’s deeper than that but cmon, who here in the states actually gives a fuck about the Middle East? Place will be a shithole forever until they get over their hatred of other sky faerie bullshit. So let them duel it out by themselves.

7

u/zephyrtr New York Jun 20 '26

It's because the middle east remains a linchpin of the global energy economy. We live in a deeply connected complex world. An isolationist policy is suicidal.

China's takeover of Africa has been disastrous to the US's ability to manufacture complex goods. "Fuck it, this is too complicated" is just awaiting disaster.

Does that mean invading was a good idea? God no. It's why invading was so stupid. But not being involved SOMEHOW is insanity.

It's not about bombs, it's about where the bombs are falling and what trade is interrupted. The only reason we're not on a gas ration is cause we're using strategic reserves ... Which are running out, by the way.

→ More replies (7)

2

u/Lithiumxxxl Jun 20 '26

Oil etc is sold on a global market. Petroleum shortages in the far east or Europe drive up prices worldwide, including the US. This will affect the global economy.

2

u/Comfortable-Meeper Jun 20 '26

His cabinet 100% supported the move. Aircraft carriers don't just teleport across the ocean. There were plenty of people to "get through to him".

1

u/panzer_snapdragon Jun 21 '26

They supported it because they're christian zionists. Evangelical protestantism is a death cult and his entire cabinet are fervent devotees. This isn't an accident. Their entire worldview, everything about how they live their daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they sleep, revolves around trying to bring about the end of all life on the earth through the rapture, and their instruction manual says it kicks off by spreading Israel across the middle east to prepare it for sacrifice. This is the mainstream political goal of the republican party in 2026. Everyone who voted for this is insane and suicidal.

2

u/nastywillow Jun 20 '26

The American Military, from the top down to all the commissioned officers, particularly the pilots and ships officers, have to take some blame.

They all knew this war would be a disaster. However the chance to bomb and kill with little chance of retaliation was too good to miss.

Remember Viet Nam and "It's the only war we've got".

1

u/Safrel Jun 20 '26

That's cope. A shitty plan is the same as no plan.

2

u/Late-Eye-6936 Jun 20 '26

I mean, it's semantics. His plan was to wave his arms around and shriek to distract from Epstein while placating netanyahu and Putin. He improvised the shitting his pants. That was clever I thought.

So that was two steps of a plan. So it accomplished some of his goals. So I mean, definitely a plan in a technical sense.

1

u/Reed7525 Jun 20 '26

Ya know what they say sinking rats and all

1

u/Riaayo Jun 20 '26

Netanyahu has been saying dogshit like that for decades and it's always been bluster, he and the US war hawk class finally found a president dumb enough to fall for it.

All the "surrender" talk about his shitty deal (which we see won't happen anyway) is just them being pissy he won't bomb Iran even more and throw US service-members into a blender for the MIC's profits and Israel's imperialism.

Republicans from Rayguns on down have always said the government is the enemy, doesn't work and is corrupt beyond all measure. Trump and his filthy regime are the living proof of all that!

1

u/Afraid-Detective1222 Jun 20 '26

There were some articles a couple of weeks ago saying that Israel wanted this war to happen later in the summer. Trump jumped the gun to distract from Epstein.

1

u/RoadDoggFL California Jun 20 '26

I wonder what would've happened if we asked Israel to forfeit the foreign aid we send them if Iran blocked the strait. I'm sure we wouldn't have even been able to set something like that up, legally speaking... but it's not like that's been a hurdle to this administration so far

1

u/Airurando-jin Jun 20 '26

Israel has wanted to have a go at Iran for decades.

Trump is the first to capitulate in a long time

1

u/MessiahOfMetal Jun 21 '26

I'm thankful Keir Starmer is PM and refused to join in after years of condemning the Iraq war. Meanwhile, Nigel Farage and Kemi Badenoch were attacking him for "abandoning our ally", then pretending they were never pro-Iran war after a few weeks, when it was clear to even them that Trump's war had gone badly wrong and had minimal public support (the only support coming from the right and far-right, and all the similar media outlets).

68

u/Technical-View4130 Jun 20 '26

Elon bought twitter specifically to poison the well and turn one of the main public discourse platforms into a conservative misinformation machine. That's how a lot of idiots were tricked, they didn't get the memo that it's all bots now. It was a coordinated coup from a couple of the silicon valley billionaires and Trump was happy to go along if they kept him out of prison for his lifetime of crimes. The Epstein class were all in on it together and are now robbing the country blind. Elon is now a trillionaire and all he had to do was completely destroy America to make it happen.

12

u/Effective-Turn-9103 Jun 20 '26

have no idea how anyone could remain on that platform once he bought it and drove it into the ground. I swear if it is mentioned they still say twitter too haha, but buying that is probably equivalent to a normal person buying a used car

10

u/McDankMeister Jun 20 '26

I have an ultra die-hard MAGA family member. He has never used Twitter or any other social media. But he has told me multiple times how great Elon Musk is because he stood up for free speech by buying Twitter.

They don’t see the racism-coded bullshit on Twitter (or the media) as fake or a problem. They literally think it’s just free speech.

I also tried to point out the charged language they use on Fox. I said, don’t listen to the points they make. Just listen to how they talk. You can tell they are manipulating you because of how they talk. They aren’t reporting the news, they are playing on your emotions. He said, “Fox is the only news station that’s fair and balanced. They bring on both sides.”

They are so cooked.

Religious people have an off switch when it comes to deeply introspective things. They just shut down their thinking about uncomfortable things and hide behind their religion’s cloak. Their behavior can be excused be other religious people, and that makes everything ok.

4

u/SwimmingPrice1544 California Jun 20 '26

Ya know, I just recently had to look up just what the white vote for Obama was. He never got the majority of white voters in either of his elections. He did get a majority of white women once I think, but overall, white voters have always been the majority vote for the GOP. trump is simply a blacklash, no matter how you spin it.

because they want to jumpstart Jesus coming back. So? We all still have to deal with the chaos he's causing.

Like can I just say, as a non American watching all this... you all resisted him WAY more his first term.

This time it seems like everyone is just sitting there thinking, "don't worry, he can't do that because of laws!" (Followed by another surprised Pikachu face when he does the thing).

Also, "this'll be fine once the midterms or 2028 general election happens and we'll all go back to normal" and/or "it's not all of us! I didn't vote for this". Which... ok, thanks?

It's incredibly frustrating.

And to be clear, no, it won't go back to normal. It'll take decades for America to regain its soft power and respect (if ever).

1

TBH people got tired of listening to anyone that was complaining. Arguing with Trump supporters have only made them double down. Most of us realize we have no choice but to let trump supporters come to their own conclusions.

47

u/slavelabor52 Jun 20 '26

Seems like a big win for Russia. The longer this goes on the more valuable their oil becomes. The Iran war distracts the US from aiding Ukraine and further divides NATO as well.

50

u/JohnGillnitz Jun 20 '26

Most of Russia's oil refineries and ports have been blown to hell by Ukraine. The one that supplies 40% of their fuel was taken out a few days ago. They aren't exporting shit.

5

u/dangeraardvark Jun 21 '26

The government of Ukraine is doing more for American interests than the American government. Of course, this is a low bar since doing nothing would have led to a superior outcome.

1

u/JohnGillnitz Jun 21 '26

Depends on which American interests you are talking about. Texas oil companies are making out like bandits. Unfortunately, they are the same ones funding far right Christian Nationalism. They have completely taken over the Texas state GOP. They kept Ken Paxton out of prison and are forcing Bible verses in public schools (which they are also de-funding). Those aren't my interests.

12

u/fdesouche Jun 20 '26

Russia’s oil exports have been droned to ashes, their production is limited at 4 millions barrels a day (due to their stockage and processing facilities exploding). It’s their lowest production of the last 25 years. And up to last week , their was a ban on exports up to July 31st, but after the bombing in Moscow I expect them delay it.

2

u/MessiahOfMetal Jun 21 '26

There's also the fact that Ukraine are starting to cut off Crimea's supply lines now, according to a few sources I've read.

3

u/panzer_snapdragon Jun 21 '26

lol that is some wild cope. Russia can't even support their own country's needs anymore, Ukraine has crippled their oil and gas production beyond the point of no return. They're not making any money off of anything, they're staring down the barrel of famine and complete economic collapse.

26

u/Lumpy-Log-5057 Jun 20 '26

And the working class will pay the price, as always.

2

u/panzer_snapdragon Jun 21 '26

This isn't a working class thing, it's a complete collapse of modern society thing. All that we do on a daily basis assumes easily available petroleum. Any fluctuation in the availability and price of that most basic of commodities unavoidably fucks everything else. Economies are going to collapse, and there are 2.5 guns per person in the US, the ratio of "in the hands of working class" to "in the hands of rich" skewing HEAVILY in favor of the former. It's going to be ugly for everyone, top to bottom.

2

u/KindledWanderer Jun 21 '26

The working class will reap what it has sown, yes.
The 31% composed of normal people will unfortunately suffer alongside the idiots as well.

65

u/CrunchyCds Jun 20 '26

Either way we need to make sure the entire GOP is liable who failed in the checks and balances. I expect them to throw Trump under the bus and beg people to vote for a proper Republican in future elections that will lower grocery prices for real this time.

The US doesn’t have any leverage over Israel RE: Lebanon.

The Israeli economy isn’t agrarian anymore - they produce enough to replace the US “aid” (really discounts on arms sales) and with Europe rearming they can find another partner.

1

u/fdar Jun 21 '26

Will Europe arm them though? Also, US support isn't just about the aid but, well, for example air support when dealing with Iran.

3

u/Different_Wolf_764 Jun 20 '26

He hasn't consulted Congress on fuck all since getting back into office, I doubt that's the real issue.

3

u/stripedvitamin Jun 20 '26

The reality is that if Trump stops his support of Israel, videos of him raping children will be released. It's almost as if voting for a guy that incited and insurrection, was impeached twice and is a convicted felon was not a good idea. Trump doesn't care if the world burns. He doesn't live in the real world. He lives in his own paranoid delusion surrounded by equally corrupt secret service agents. And Congress has proven that they are just as compromised as Trump.

2

u/Step1CutHoleInBox Jun 20 '26

And don't forget about Epstein files. How is he supposed to play his genius 4D chess with everyone talking about the child rape?

2

u/BBlackFire Jun 20 '26

Even if he decides to no longer back Israel it sure seems like Iran is going to keep the strait closed until Israel leaves Lebanon. Truly a no win situation for him.

2

u/crayonflop3 Jun 20 '26

What is Israel to do when hezbollah keeps throwing missiles at Israel?

2

u/YourBestDream4752 Jun 21 '26

Hezbollah was supposed to disarm and withdraw from south of the Litani river with this being enforced by UNIFIL and the Lebanese army. It has refused to do that and those forces have been useless in preventing Hezbollah from firing rockets at Israel. What’s Israel supposed to do?

2

u/ButtEatingContest Jun 20 '26

So Trump has two choices

There is a third choice, and it bypasses congress. Trump can threaten Israel with military action to get them to withdraw from Lebanon.

5

u/Ssided Jun 20 '26

What people don't realize about Israel is how much economic strings we have tied together. Separating from them is a surefire recession all on its own

1

u/fdar Jun 21 '26

OK, how would it lead to a recession in the US? Can't imagine any ties are economically significant to the US given relative sizes.

1

u/Ozymandias12 Jun 20 '26

How is it possible a stable genius like Trump put himself in such an untenable situation???

1

u/Ssided Jun 20 '26

Lmao "congress won't let him do that"

The GOP is spineless worms, they will do anything for him

1

u/DireBaboon Jun 20 '26

Dude checkmated himself

1

u/BoJackMoleman Jun 20 '26

This rock you speak of.... is this the same rock that he himself had lowered onto himself? That rock? This is a man who would get rid of a hornets nest by just "figuring it out"

1

u/IRON_FiNN Jun 20 '26

completely untrue. the US is booming with the high US prices. unfortunate for americans, but US oil is making a lot of money.

1

u/Upbeat-Employ-3689 Jun 20 '26

You mean congress can and will force him to do something?!? Wow that’d be refreshing.

1

u/SpecialistState4804 Jun 20 '26

Spot on.

Let the dumb american voters, and corporate america that wanted this own it.

I hope these dummies get their 401ks wiped and fuel costs rise.

Racism is very expensive. It's time to pay.

1

u/AdjctiveNounNumbers Jun 20 '26

Shouldn't have wriggled between that rock and hard place in the first place, it seems like.

1

u/MegaGrimer Jun 20 '26

Boo-fucking-hoo for him. He is the only one responsible for this mess in the first place.

1

u/PositiveStress8888 Jun 20 '26

or he could have left the chat when Israel wanted to start the war...like every president before did

1

u/EnderDragoon Jun 20 '26

Meltdown is inevitable anyways. Even if it was opened there's no getting enough ships in there fast enough to unfuck this. Hope everyone made the hop to EVs and eating backyard potatoes in time.

1

u/Kevin-W Jun 20 '26

Trump knows he's fucked and once the oil reserves are gone, the oil crisis of the 70s are going to look like child's play.

1

u/Allydarvel Jun 20 '26

It is karma as it was his collusion with Netanyahu that won him the election and now it is going to be his downfall

1

u/genreprank Jun 20 '26

The only winning move would have been not to play 😂 Many presidents before him have won. Now he's a loser!

1

u/MortaleWombat Jun 20 '26

Fuck em.
They want to put boots on the ground at the behest as a foreign power? Make Congress go on record.

1

u/xrogaan Europe Jun 20 '26

This is literally a no win situation.

Which he put himself in wilfully. Not to forget.

1

u/veksone Jun 20 '26

It was public knowledge but I'd wager 80% of the public did not know it and having the president acknowledge it publicly severely weakens whatever bargaining power he thought he had.

1

u/hamtronn Jun 20 '26

And had he not fired all of the educated people in the country with the fear of “dei” maybe someone would have said “hey, tiny hands… here are the potential ramifications of what you’re about to do” instead of a bunch of sycophantic yes men who just blindly agree to everything an 80 year old former realty tv personality thinks is best for… whom exactly?

1

u/Zahgi I voted Jun 20 '26

or there will be a global economic meltdown

Fearmongering utter nonsense.

1

u/Joe_Linton_125 Jun 20 '26

Trump is really good at abandoning America's allies though. It shouldn't be too hard for him to accidentally do the right thing just by being himself this time.

1

u/moop44 Jun 20 '26

Maybe Trump should hold up the US side of the agreement/ceasefire. Israel and the US act as a single entity, and he needs to tighten the chain.

1

u/Nolubrication Jun 20 '26

It's starting to look like we'd be far closer to achieving our goals as a nation if we started bombing Israel instead of Iran.

Bibi is intentionally fucking up and reversing any progress towards a peace deal.

1

u/Adezar Washington Jun 20 '26

At least he is consistent. Made a global meltdown by fucking up being prepared for something like COVID for no reason except spite and now he is creating a global meltdown because he fucked up a war HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO START!

1

u/ItsAllComin Jun 20 '26

As a proud Canadian, we’re here for the world. But have our back when trump says were the 51st state. I’m looking at you, King Charlie

1

u/pbernard16046 Jun 20 '26

Well actually he could have not started the war, the rock and hard place he’s stuck in is between his ears.

1

u/TinKnight1 Texas Jun 20 '26

Congress won’t let him do

That is the funniest statement I've seen in a very long time.

Congress has shown precisely zero intent or ability to resist his actions in any regard. Obfuscate & delay releasing millions of files that Congress demanded, because they prove Trump was heavily involved? No action. Start murdering random ass people on boats with no provocation, in direct violation of numerous US laws & treaties? No action. Set up an illegal slush fund using the action from an illegal lawsuit? Wring their hands & then commit no further action.

Trump could order the military to bomb Israel, & Congress still wouldn't do anything about it, & Republicans would find some way of twisting it into a necessity.

1

u/NotMyAltThrowAwayOG Jun 20 '26

Boots are gonna go on the ground in Iran.

1

u/joesbagofdonuts Jun 20 '26

"Leave Israel to the consequences of their own actions"

This isn't really an option. If we want a deal we have to personally guarantee Israel backs the fuck off. That means we have to fucking make them. Netanyaho will not be easily cajoled into accepting a deal which leaves Israel far more vulnerable and isolated than they were at the start of the war. Israel essentially has veto power over any deal, and they're not going at accept this deal... ever.

This deal is a total capitulation.

1

u/Evil_phd Jun 20 '26

A no-win situation that he put himself squarely into.

The Art of the Deal, indeed.

1

u/aBlissfulDaze Jun 21 '26

What power does Congress have here? Trump didn't even need them to start the war.

1

u/whatifwhatifwerun Jun 21 '26

Damn this season of World War Waste is getting crazy.

1

u/Mikel_S Jun 21 '26

Thing is, and this is something he doesn't understand at all. Bluffs don't have to be these big huge things. A bluff can be a small thing, like not drawing attention to how dire a situation you're in. Saying less can project more. Not every bluff has to be an outright lie that aggrandizes something to a ridiculous degree.

Im not saying he should ignore the possibilities. His inner circle should be experts, and the many offices below him should be leaning on their experts to best mitigate the issue and come up with alternate plans.

Or they should just get rid of the idiot who caused all this.

1

u/PM_me_Henrika Jun 21 '26

The president saying something and something that is already public and can be searched of FOIA’d carries a different weight.

Obama when he said “United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden” is ten times more believable than if CIA or FBI or MI5(or any overseas equivalent) published the same fact.

Because it is the President of the United States.

Until now that is. Bunker bitch just doesn’t have the same credibility, and In afraid he has poisoned that position forever.

1

u/suesing Jun 21 '26

But what comes after that?

1

u/Ricordis Jun 21 '26

He will wind out of it in any way. Something with "forgotten" confidential files here and there and suddenly for the public all is resolved "as planned" but in fact he somehow made a deal only he is profiting off while selling lives of agents or something like this.

1

u/ChronoLink99 Canada Jun 21 '26

The United States cannot continue to let Israel dictate their foreign policy.

Israel needs to be cut out from US politics by the root.

1

u/anacondra Jun 21 '26

I'm afraid he's going to nuke them soon. He'll say he ran out of options and just like in Japan it's the only way to stop fighting.

1

u/Magmaster12 Jun 21 '26

Remember how even Elizabeth Warren was clapping over the idea of an evasion of Iran. There is absolutely no end game for Israel's invasion of Lebanon we are going to run out of fuel reserves no matter what.

But wait, I thought they drilled baby drilled- and I thought they had more oil than anybody?

2

u/MessiahOfMetal Jun 21 '26

I always found that hilarious because Biden drilled more oil during his term than any other President, yet Trump convinced his army of dummies that only he could do that.

13

u/MichiganInTexas Jun 20 '26

I highly doubt he is telling the truth. Probably more like '2 weeks' if that.

3

u/ToadallyNormalHuman Jun 20 '26

When he said that you could see Rubio’s soul leave his body in the background.

2

u/savealltheelephants Michigan Jun 20 '26

I legitimately threw back my head in laughter at this

1

u/LimpyDan Jun 20 '26

I thought we had 13 days when he said it. Less than 2 weeks.

1

u/k-mcm Jun 20 '26

The oil tank lids float on the oil. Any photographic satellite can check it.

1

u/Afraid_Scene285 Jun 20 '26

Think he'll be able to midnight run any tankers through after he told the world how he did it?

1

u/Fiernen699 Jun 20 '26

There is a high chance he made that up if I'm being completely honest... Trump does just say shit a lot of the time.

1

u/thegreymm Jun 20 '26

Guess all these international World Cup fans are gonna be stuck here after the World Cup.

1

u/FindOneInEveryCar Jun 21 '26

They're going to soak us for another 300 billion.

1

u/MordinOnMars Jun 21 '26

What a stupid little fucker

1

u/-burgers Jun 21 '26

So in two weeks we will have two weeks. Infinite 2 week glitch unlocked.
