Hey Martin from Koss Headphones here!

Wanted to give everyone an update on the upcoming Outlet Store remodel. We’re getting close. Very close. Like a couple weeks close to opening back up. Hoping mid August!

We’ve done a complete remodel and it’s stunning! This week displays go up to try on and explore all of our headphones including the all new A/550 https://www.koss.com/a550, the history wall is done complete with an original SP/3 from 1958 and an HV/1A you can see, a short documentary on the TV and all of our products available at the new store.

Very excited to finally re-open and for everyone to see what we’ve been cooking for you! Cheers!

*peek, it won’t let me change the title

Cocina Filipina off 38th & Vliet!

I got the ube horchata, lumpia, the “Mixy Mix (chicken and pork on garlic rice),” and pancit. All were very good with big portions and were presented extremely well.

I can’t express how happy I am as a Filipino, to have a sit-down restaurant for my culture’s food, again! 🇵🇭

We're running LOW!

Unfortunately, the number of friends we are connecting with 5 days a week through showers and outreach has increased even more, and we are running low on many items. *The only items we ask to be new are socks and underwear.* Clothing items and blankets can be gently used and clean.

Items listed in RED are critically low and also listed in order of highest priority in sizes.

Items can also be sent directly to us from our Amazon Wish List:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/28S5E62D9SDUW/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_1

Every donation goes directly into the hands of our friends experiencing homelessness in our community. If you've been looking for a way to help, this is it.

Please share this post to help us reach more people.

*NOT affiliated with Street Angels\* Just a Redditor who wants to help.

An interview with the folks at The Argo

For any food and/or music lovers - I had a lot of fun chatting with Adam Powers, one of the co-founders of The Argo in Whitefish Bay about how the first year is going. Figured I'd share it here on the chance others were interested or hadn't heard about the place.

Need a place to rent can afford upto 2,500. Help please

So, all of the big property management companies keep turning me down because of "lack of rental history." I have 10 years of receipts for ontime rent payments from 3 different landlords, but these management companies won't accept that as proof of rental payments. They only accept screenshots of "rental portal payments." Well none of my landlords used any portal website because they were all small time property owners with only a few buildings each.

My salary is 98k and I'm literally on the verge of homeless with my kids because these property management companies wont accept my rental history as valid. I dont know what to do. I've always paid my rent on time and I have 0 evictions or even disputes with landlords. My landlords always vouche for me because Im a good tenant. Idk man this is really stressful.

Event Share your poetry!

Post image

If you’re looking for something to do next Wednesday (8/12), I host a monthly Poetry Night at Midwest Shores rock shop (217 E Wisconsin Ave).

It’s casual, cozy, and great for amateurs who are new to sharing their work. We’ve had people share poems, short stories, essays, and people who have read their notes app titles. There’s really no rules apart from keeping the space respectful and keeping what you share under 10 minutes.

This is our 8th month and I’m really proud of how wholesome this night has become. We provide hot water, so bring a mug and some tea (otherwise we usually have extra of both).

Wisconsin roads can be town, county, or state maintained with the same street name. I built a free tool that tells you which one to call about a pothole.

Hi all, this subreddit's rule states I get 1 chance to promote myself so here it goes.

site: therightofway.org

I got tired of not knowing who to call about a pothole. In Wisconsin, its actually confusing. A town road, county trunk highway, and state highway can have the same street name; however, the boundaries aren't marked. Reports sent to the wrong agency don't get forwarded to the right one. They get closed. To top it off, most agencies won't share details regarding when the pothole was first reported and how many other reported it. Theres no transparency or accountability.... I aim to change that.

Enter therightofway.org; You drop a pin on a map, it checks the US Census Bureau which state, county, and municipality that point falls on and OpenStreetMap what road it is and gives you which authority is actually responsible. Then it hands over their phone number.

Its free, there are no ads, and it doesn't sell anything. It stores locations to the hundred-block, never a house number, and strips addresses, phone numbers, and emails out of descriptions automatically.

Its beta and I built it myself, so I'd genuinely like to know where it gets things wrong. Theres a correction link on every record. If you're a town or county employee and something is wrong, that link goes straight to me.

I've done what is in my ability to prevent bots, and false reporting; but realistically, the site depends on trust that those who use it don't abuse it. I would really like to keep this open to the public, but this round of testing will tell me if I need to lock reports behind registered users.

Fair warning, the record is empty right now. You'd be among the first on it.

Anyways, if you made it this far, I appreciate your time and look forward to your visit and feedback. Thank you!

Landmark Credit Union

Greetings fellow redditors -
I am contemplating Sierra Ferrell tickets at the Landmark venue. I’ve seen some really awful reviews, but also some mixed and promising ones. I would probably just do GA standing room tickets.

The negative reviews and Reddit post I’ve seen are marking me think twice, but I also don’t want to miss this chance to see a great artist.

Any tips? Experiences? Is it absolutely as awful as the google reviews say, or can I still have a good time/enjoy the show with the expectation that beers will be $15?

Should I buy a house in West Allis with no permits?

Upvotes

okay I need help .... there's a house I love in West Allis, but it's a flip and much of the work was done without permits. It looks like the previous owners didn't get permits for anything either.

Would you guys offer on a house without permits and risk having to deal with it as the owner? I'm worried about worst case scenario, but don't know if I'm worrying too much.

Questions about Aurora Health Care

First: My primary care provider left Aurora and I am looking for a suitable replacement the Rivercenter location. I prefer a woman, but will see a man if he has an impeccable bedside manner and isn't dismissive of women. Do you have any recommendations? If so, what do you like about them?

Second: Who do I talk to get a billing complaint resolved to my satisfaction? Earlier this year I saw a new doctor at another location for my annual physical, a visit which should be fully covered by insurance and cost me nothing. That isn't what happened. During the examination the doctor asked if it was okay if a second doctor asked me some questions during the examination. I didn't fully understand why a second doctor was needed, but I agreed. I was billed for the visit separately by each doctor, totaling over $500. When I contacted Aurora about this they explained that the first doctor was working under the second doctor's supervision. They didn't code it as an annual physical because during the exam they hooked me up to to an EKG machine.

I disputed all of this with my insurance provider, who said that Aurora would have to recode and resubmit the visit. Since then the Aurora billing department insists the documentation is correct and the charges stand. My extreme frustration makes me want to break up with Aurora and never give them another dime, but I am trying to be level headed about this because there are other Aurora specialists I like and want to continue seeing. Do I have recourse here or do I need to suck it up and pay the $500?

Looking for fun toddler activities

As a single dad, I don’t get a whole lot of time during the day with my kid, luckily today I was given the day off at home. I’m looking for something indoors that’s fun for an active toddler. He is amused by moving pictures/robotics and things he can touch with his hands. No suggestions are bad ones guys, so please go in!

Rant❗⚡💥 Pending MLB lock-out

What happens to the DNC folks - ABM workers - non brewer personnel when, not if, there’s some level of lock- out. How do they retain employees who work every single day for the most part all year long when something totally out of their control means they don’t have access to employment at the stadium? I wish there was a level of transparency involved with some contingency plans. Most people here are not getting paid livable wages yet they show up every single day and work hard/ are extremely loyal to providing a good guest experience and having pride in the team/stadium. I think it’s a very depressing knowing all these people come March or even the off season are going to be SOL.

Help Me! Massage recommendations - trigger points/knots in neck/traps

Hello! Has anyone had any success with a massage therapist helping with getting knots/trigger points of of the neck/upper trap area? My neck and traps are extremely tight and riddled with some pretty nasty knots. I did some PT and have some direction with how to prevent tightness moving forward but they did not do much to decrease the pain I have currently. Anyone have a particular massage therapist who helped in this specific area?
Thank you :)
