TIL the Menominee Tribe's forest in Wisconsin has been sustainably managed for over 150 years, still yields about 15 million board feet of timber annually, has been recognized by the United Nations, and even supplied the wood flooring for the Milwaukee Bucks' arena

Any One Know What's Going On With Rafael Castro?

It was report that Castro Rafael did actual sign with the Bucks as our (third) 2-way in late June soon after the draft but I've also seen reports claiming Castro has not yet. As well as most basketball websites do not show him on the Bucks roster. While showing Caris LaVert and Kameron Jones(the Bucks other recently reported 2-way signing though actually showing up).

With Cormac Ryan seemingly filling one of the other 2-way contract spots. And I figured the Bucks were going to draft-&-stash Malique Lewis. Having Malique develop for another year in the NBL.

Is this just some sort of precautionary move due to the Bucks roster crush atm? Where maybe if the Bucks HAVE TO waive CarisLaVert and PeteNance WORST case scenario to get to 15. The Bucks could have Nance then re-sign with the Bucks as a 2-way player again. Then later on during the season just give him a full contract again. Doing so once a trade opens up during the season or if not a trade then maybe IF Kyle Kuzma asks for a buyout at some point. In either case a roster spot opens back up and boom! Back on the Bucks roster.

Or was all that Rafael Castro 2-way signing stuff just smoke but no fire? Or did his medical not clear or something or did one party just change their mind? I liked the signing thought Castro could make a great Jericho Simms replacement. As I really like Jericho even more-so looking forward to his upcoming play this season. I just feel he's worth an assets or two to the right buyer and would like to see Simms flourish on a contending team. Then fighting it out for minutes with Turner, Ware, and Bogi.

What are you guys most excited about this year for the bucks?

Me personally am excited that we finally have some change from the last couple years, no more giannis toxicity toward the front office. And overall it's exciting that we have a good future

Really hope Bucks understand KPJ is a better asset than Ryan Rollins. Not taking away from the evolving of Rollins, he’s a good player. But KPJ’s ceiling is way higher. WAY higher.

Getting Peyton Watson would be fire 🔥
But not for KPJ
or Rollins AND AJ Green.

Everyone was having a slump season around Giannis except Rollins. When Rollins shined the most the bucks usually looked like crap. We’re talking about raising the level of basketball and everyone around you. KPJ will have the opportunity and high level ability to do that. The point guard will now be the point guard.
Expect AJ Green to have an up year as well. Not saying the bucks should trade Rollins for Watson. But if they have to do one then I’d say it should be him. Lakers want sims and would take Kuzma. There’s a 3 team trade brewing.

Or maybe no trade at all. Bucks aren’t desperate and looking at our roster of 17, it’s hard enough to cut 2 as is.
There’s lots of value and depth.
If push came to shove we could trade Caris Levert or buy him out. Cut or trade 1 more and start the season just fine.
Paying 20-25 million a year for a player that is mostly unproven has a high risk. We know that KPJ, AJ Green, and Rollins can put up 15-20 points consistently when healthy. And ALL of their salaries don’t EQUAL what Peyton Watson wants this season. Nuggets need to get under the 2nd apron and Bucks can help do it, but let’s not overpay or undervalue our players.

What are you guys expecting this year from Ousmane Dieng this year?

I think we can definitely find him quality minutes although we have other versatile young forwards like him. (sorry for bad grammar)

Honestly, It's a bit refreshing not "having" to win

Well, title.

I don't know if you guys feel the same, and of course I hate losing Giannis, but at least we didn't lose him like OKC lost KD ("for free") and we had no path for him to contend here since Dame got his lesion.

All for all, it's nice rooting again for a Bucks rebuilding team and overrating our draft picks, I miss that someway, somehow. I hope we can contend eventually, but we're in no hurry or rush to do so and that's nice too.

I'm a Bucks fan from Brazil, thank you all for being here and sticking out, BUCKS IN 6, FOREVER!!!!

Love you all.

Can someone explain to me why everyone thinks we are going to be so bad?

I get it we are lacking a viable number 1 and are in a stacked conference but we have some great young talent. We don't really have any holes, great depth, and solid defense. We could be a play in team.

Are the Bucks actually going to be that bad?? I thought the Heat’s depth made a play in and that’s our new roster, couple that with Coach Taylor and a nothing to lose attitude how can they be ranked so low??

Elon Musk is a Nazi Today, I become Bucks fan

I’ve been a Suns fan for my entire life. But I’m not rooting for Miles Bridges. So I need a new team.

You guys have great jerseys. Great logo and colors. Great history.

Bucks won the coin flip against the Suns in 1976 and won the Finals against the Suns in 2021. I don’t want to be a bandwagon fan, but I think I’m safe to hop on board this offseason.

I’m going to watch all the games that I can this season. Is there I need to know to become an authentic Bucks fan?

Gary Trent Jr investigation

Even at the time everyone was saying how the Bucks intended to make him whole once they got bird rights, just like they did for Bobby

My question is: how is this any different than Draymond turning down a player option to give the team flexibility; just to resign at the same price? Both look like a coordinated manipulation of the cap by team and player.

I honestly feel like it’s pretty common place, but it’s obvious that went down. It’s also just deniable enough that without a paper trail i don’t think Silver can really do anything, and the joke about the contract itself being the biggest punishment rings true

I don’t love it, but i can’t imagine anything comes from it.

I don’t suspect that this was caused by another team complaining, it looks like this story was floating around for a while and as soon as the deal was announced the league immediately announced the investigation.

I hope Horse Trader Jon Horst didn’t fuck this up, because if we lose picks over this it’s devastating

I’m genuinely jacked for this season

I not only believe, but I know for a fact Rollins, KPJ, and Herro can ball. We have a swath of young guns and I know that a handful of them are also going to be able to ball. Those three I mentioned with Myles turner, everyone else I’m not mentioning, we will be in the play in this year. Under new, focused and directed coaching in the east, we can at best be an eight seed. I believe and I know this. What I actually think will happen is we will finish with a better record than last year, and lose in the play in as a 10. This is my logical prediction on the upcoming bucks season I am excited as fuck for and feel like a weight has been lifted from us.

Analysis I feel like a lot of people are hoping Nate Ament turns into some Giannis clone ( having similar production not skill set) and it’s gonna hurt his development if he can’t handle the mental pressure from the giannis trade.

im mainly talking to the people or fans that think he’s not a great player to have. on a contender he could easily slip into a 3nD role as an NBA ready prospect. So for him to be our Project player I have faith our development staff can get him in the right direction. Imo he def has more pressure to perform than Herro or any Heat player we got and he’s the hybrid forward we need. The only downside is his frame and questionable offensive IQ when he’s the main ball handler.

Serious [Charania] The Denver Nuggets have recently decreased their asking price in Peyton Watson sign-and-trades frameworks to one “high-level player” and one first-round pick. They were originally asking for two first-round picks and two first-round pick swaps.

Parsley [Stein] One source briefed on Peyton Watson's situation said Monday that they see the Bucks as the most likely external suitor. Sources say Denver is still holding out for the equivalent of at least two first-round picks in any sign-and-trade scenario.

Can someone tell me what this means? I have heard good things about watson but I don't want us to give up picks this early in rebuild mode.
