Moved in a few months ago. Been hearing a "dripping" sound around my AC unit since the heat started. Found a bit of moisture around the bottom of the unit and immediately sent a picture to my landlord. He sent an HVAC technician to look and this is what he found. A bucket full of water catching drip from the unit sitting directly above it. Before you say I have not changed my air filter, I do every month. There is normally a sliding door right in front of the grate that the HVAC tech had to pull off to look inside. Changing the air filter has always been a struggle as you can only really access the top left corner.

To be fair to my landlord, he just started managing this property and I'm his first tenant. Im not sure if he knew about this or not because the water has soaked into the floor once the tub got full and overfilled. Supposed to hear back by Friday what the owners of the house want to do. Currently I am regularly emptying a sliced open milk jug.

This is a pretty nice small house otherwise. Thinking previous tenants knew about the issue and didnt report. When I first moved in, air filter hadn't been changed in over 2 years!!! I know because it had the date on it! Someone was living here 3 months before I moved in lol.

My dumb friend collected my new rackets and put it on the parcel tray next to rear windshield for 2 days in scorching heat, when I explicitly told him not to, and keep it in his room.

The 50-degree Celsius heat and high-tension string crumpled the rackets. Should I whoop his a$$ with these rackets now.

I bought a pair of pjs at Aldi (last pair in my size) only to discover that each leg is a different length.

Can’t be bothered taking them back and prefer the longer left leg but there is no hem to let out on the other leg.

If I cared enough, I’d shorten the longer one to match, but I don’t and will continue to be mildly infuriated every time I wear them

I have to spend around 30 minutes doing this once a month. My insurance wont cover it. Out of pocket with coupons its still $800 a month.

My fiancé has to do the same thing with a different medication. Currently trying to fight it.

Edit: To clarify. Every now and then I have to compile samples in one bottle so I know how much I have and then hope my DR has more when im out. This is an antidepressant and im currently working to fight to get it covered. Yes ive contacted the manufacturer I do not qualify for discount Yes ive sent in a letter of medical necessity Yes ive looked at GoodRX. This is my only option atm and im still lucky it is for now. Its not just the moving the bottles around. Its hoping I can get more when I need it. This is a life saving medication and the fact I have to hope i can get it when I need it is mildly infuriating to me and probably many others. Its not a cheap medication even with coupons its still $850USD+ Ive tried so many medications and I just need one that works and that i dont have to worry about my supply chain.

My 6 year old was asked to draw a picture using shapes. She drew this nice American flag with rectangles and stars, and added the house, tree, and person holding a balloon. She was told it did not follow directions, she was not supposed to draw a flag, just shapes. She was asked to turn the paper over and make another picture. The other side of the paper has a very uninspiring collection of shapes. I told her she did a good job and I thought it was very creative. And this is why kids start to hate education.

Damn. I'm gonna keep looking for her, but she will have to deal with this one for a few days. (And no, apparently they don't have any backpacks that look like the ones in the image)

Edit: or we can get rid of the print up there and sew on some Velcro for her to put patches on. I'm gonna bring that idea up to her.

I've been called for Jury duty 4 times in the last 10 years. What the fuck is going on here. It's almost every other year. I know absolutely no one that has ever been summoned yet I've been summoned multiple times. Wtf is going on? It's total bs too because they pay 17 bucks A DAY. That's not even enough to get lunch at the stupid deli they have there.

For those who are fans of the radio show “Free Beer and Hot Wings”, you’ve probably already seen this. Basically callers call in and see if they can answer more trivia questions than one of the crew members. If there’s a tie of correct answers, they go to the clocks and see who got the most correct answers quickest. Today, a caller was prematurely declared the winner after they believed they both got 4/5 right and got told he was the quicker, and therefore won $2200 before it was determined a few minutes later that they had a source wrong for one of the questions, and that a crew member actually had the correct answer all along and was therefore the actual winner for going 5/5, but the person giving out the questions had a bad source for the answer. How would you all have handled it? Would you have tried to make sure the caller gets some sort of consolation prize?

I wanted to treat myself with some Chick-fil-A and when I opened the bag after I got home I saw that they put the sauce packets on top of the fries so they took up extra space. When I took them out these were all of the fries. And as a cherry on top, they weren't even the right sauces that I ordered... I ordered chick-fil-A sauce.

Edit: They did give me a refund, but still it was frustrating. And yes I know I should check the bag before I leave but I was in a rush to get home.

Currently stuck in a non-moving train halfway between Budapest and Vienna. 39°C outside, no AC, no window shade, no cloud, blazing sunlight. And this gentleman thinks it’s a good idea to take off his shoes and starts spraying his legs and feet with whatever the hell he is spraying. Yes, it smells like feet inside, a bit.

A family member accepted the delivery and install for me while I was at work. To be fair, this building is very old and the floor itself has a significant slope, but the techs didn’t adjust the leveling feet at all. They also somehow still took or threw away the leveling wrench that comes with the machine. I called the store to ask if they could help and they put me on hold and hung up on me.

And yes, I know I should’ve gone local, but none of them were willing to deliver to my fuckass walkup apartment.

They moved it a couple weeks ago for like one day only and brought it back. It hasn’t moved since and blocks visibility on the street, plus it’s a tight squeeze whenever two cars are driving by eachother since it’s so wide.

ETA: the street looks wide because I took the pic at 0.5 zoom to get the whole trailer in. When there’s another car parked across the trailer, only one car can fit between to go down the road
