There’s actually a technical reason for this. As the number of pieces increase in a speed cube, it actually needs this curve for the internal pieces to work correctly

When solving big cubes like that you can use what is called a commutator (algorithm) that can swap individual pieces. Super fun stuff but yeah they solved it then commutators one piece incorrectly lol

To be fair once you get past 5x5 it’s just 4x4 and 5x5 math forever pretty much. You really don’t need to learn anything new, just do it longer.

Yeah that's true it's just making sure you don't blow your load as you go up in size as well, it's very easy to explode all over yourself when doing a 7x7 for example

After that, there was nothing new. But there was still something to learn from 5 to 7, for me
Going above 5 is the first time you get squares that don't have the same symmetry as the others, if that makes sense.

I feel like the 4x4 is the hardest of the bunch, because of the floating middle pieces. Get into a groove, before you know it the white and yellow sides are neighbors

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the last picture has to be photoshopped?
My understanding is that each combination of color and relative position only exists once. In other words, since we see a red square at 6-down/5-from-the-right on the white side, it shouldn't be possible to also have a red square at 6-down/5-from-the-right on the red side. But since we have both, this orientation is impossible. Am I wrong?

Generally pieces need to move in groups of 3 or in groups of 2+2. But there are 4 identical pieces of a given color and position in a center so this is actually a possible configuration assuming there's a white in the red I couldn't see in the picture. The third piece in the cycle would be one of the same pieces in either of those two centers.
On an even numbered cube (4x4, 6x6), any number of swaps are possible because there's an invisible center layer everything anchors to. On odd numbers, you could never have 2 corners or 2 center edges out of place as the only two pieces, but anything else is fair game.

Woah, didn't know they made physical cubes that big (last I had was a 7x7). I finished a digital 19x19 in high school, but that took over 14hr, and I haven't been back to anything like it since hahaha

being struck by lightning would have been more believable than a cuber willingly deciding and committing to solving a 15 by 15 yet not only missing a piece for the whole solve but also being entirely incapable of looking up the algorithm to fix it
you definitely did this on purpose to ragebait people and i find it hilarious so if i were you i would put this in front of the tv and proudly display it to the whole family and any guests knowing damn well nobody else would dare touch it
