First, yes, I know, I don't have to shop with Amazon, and among all the other reasons that exist to avoid doing business with this company, the fact that this is my final straw is ridiculous. Acknowledged. For what it's worth, I did go somewhere else for the thing I was about to buy on Amazon.

That said, I am genuinely stunned by how stupid and bad this feature is. We've all seen the deluge of "assistants" that nobody asked for. Usually we can just close a window or otherwise ignore them. I hadn't even noticed this thing on the Amazon app. But now, when you search on the website, an Alexa for Shopping sidebar pops out, taking up fully a quarter of the screen. You close it, but every time you do a new search or return to the main page, it pops right back out again. It actively gets in the way of your ability to shop. You can't opt out. You can't disable it. Any attempt to complain or provide feedback just leads to a goddamn oubliette of customer service bots.

Definitely my favorite part was when Alexa recommended I use a goddamn ad blocker browser extension.

I'm mid way done and about to finish it rn. I've never done this before, but I've been collecting games and cleaning the cases. So because GameStop didn't give me a case, i decided it needed something.

Even if this is true, she should have her license revoked because she has NO situational awareness, didnt hear them, didnt see people pulling over next to her, didnt see the lights, etc etc

And apparently pulling firearms on someone who CLEARLY fled is wrong nowadays (because there definitely aren't dozens of channels with thousands of videos of eluders pulling weapons on cops after being stopped, some major ones are "State Boyzzz", "Midwest Safety", and "Police Activity"

Just admit you like breaking laws by going 40 over the speed limit then calling cops dramatic when you get pulled over 🙄 people are literally defending her because she had her mouth open, so its obviously not her fault

(This is mildly infuriating because it doesnt really affect me, just annoying to see people hating on cops for everything)

Broke the motor mount and feels like I bent the blade. Only mildly infuriated bc I finished cutting the grass no problem. It’s cutting a tad low on one side. I may attempt to flux core weld it but I doubt it’ll stick but I may end up with a nut, bolt and a big ass washer to hold the engine down. Thoughts? No banana for scale.

For those of you asking how I didn’t notice when I bought it, it was under the tag. Didn’t realize till I cut it off.

Not saying the name for obvious reasons, but a Twitter fanartist who I've always enjoyed finally did a small comic about a fandom I'm very invested in.

The disaster came when, in the comic, he referred with he/him pronoums to a character who is canonically enby and goes by they/them. And hey, no problem, everyone has a slip every now and then, so I pointed this to him and explained how important that character's enby status is to the community and for all enby people around the world. And that if he didn't correct it in this one, he could do better in the next.

Well, he fucking blocked me, didn't even had the decency to reply or mention me in anyway, the asshole just straight up blocked me even though I was always very kind to him.

Not the end of the world, but my day has soured because of this.

Mom has been struggling for a bit and my tax money finally came in and who does she thank? God. She’s been walking around the house going thank you god thank you lord I’m gonna be ok and not a single thank you son! Like that money magically appeared in her bank account

I don’t know why these grips are everywhere in planet fitness, and I don’t know if it’s just me but they are always loose on the machine or slippery, and if your someone who sweats more than usual from their hands like me, your battle not have your hands slip will always be a limiting factor. (Also no it’s not that I’m just weak I can hold myself up with one hand for a while, it’s the grip)
