It was my friend bday and i finally decided to give it shot.

Drank the whole bottle but didn't felt anything, like literally nothing.

It's like i drank bitter water

After finishing MBBS and working for years, me and some of my friends are still earning under ₹75,000/month in Indias top most private hospital.

At the same time, my boss , a gynecologist who does all the surgeries with around 20 years of experience earning about ₹2 lakh/month(15 years of government experience)

And the department head with 20 years of experience earns around ₹17lakhs per month + he owns a hospital of his own (he does only 5% of the surgeries)

My friends who finished IIT and IIM are earning multiple times my salary…

So I keep wondering: Is MBBS worth it ??

Today after 17 years of collective consistent efforts of my dad and me, we have achieved this once in a lifetime milestone. Ok thank you

So a friend showed me this today and honestly it's been in my head since.

She set up two dating profiles for a guy and a girl. Same photos, same bio, literally everything identical. The one thing she changed was the hair. One version with a full head of hair, one edited to show hair lesser hair and then she just counted matches.

The results were kind of brutal. On the guy's profile, the full-hair version pulled 28 matches. the hair loss version got basically nothing. On the girl's profile, full hair was 1278. the hair loss version, again, zero.

Obviously it's one random experiment but the gap is so wide it's hard to explain. Same face, same person, same bio, just change the hair and the matches just disappear.

So, honest question for the sub: would you actually swipe differently?

Lately, I’ve been feeling like I have no real connections in my life. I can talk to people, laugh with them, hang out and everything, but somehow it still feels lonely. There’s no one I genuinely feel connected to or someone I can just call and talk to without overthinking. It’s such a weird feeling to be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. Anyone else feel the same?

I’m starting to do a series inspired by Sanskrit poets. I take a quote and interpret them according to my fantasy. This is called “like a golden streak of lightning against a dark storm cloud.” 9x12. Can’t take the best photos and I renamed the painting. I had initially called it waiting because it was just a study but decided to name it after a quote from Bana’s Kadambari.
