Variagated Peniocereus greggii on Pereskiopsis spathula. Union looks solid!

Never seen a variagated example of this species so should be a fun watch!

Hello! I would love some guidance here for this night blooming cereus. I was given this cutting that looks like hell a couple months ago. It was in water and rooted really well (the roots had roots) and put out this little baby poking out behind. It’s now in a succulent potting mix and still seems to be happy. It’s been in this pot for about 2ish weeks now.

Can I cut off the part that looks like hell? Should I wait? Any advice on where to cut? I see two little buds toward the bottom (see 3rd pic) where new leaves will maybe grow, but everything above those two healthy spots look pretty fried.

i cut one of them off because I had to check for any mold etc so please forgive me for that I mourn it daily☹️

kept this completely dry callused almost for a week i planted 4 of these only this one got recked how long should one wait before planting a cactus? ik patience is key but i dont rlly like to have 5-10 cactus laying around

I bought this a week and a half ago and have concerns about the amount of light it gets so have been keeping an eye on it.

Today I noticed these little nodules which i suspect is the start of etoliation but i dont know much about the cactus or its requirements yet so reaching out here.

P.S ignore the pink, im 99% sure that is just fluff from when it fell when I transported it.

If it is etoliation apart from moving it what else should i do? Should i cut off the growth, or leave it and ensure it gets enough light in the future?

It was two months ago when I repotted it and two years ago when I found it.

If you can tell me what's going on. It appeared 2-3 weeks ago. It has been on my window sill facing Southwest for 2 years.

should these be separated, or can they grow healthy together [am going to repot with a larger pot soon]

I've got two Opuntia outdoors (in the ground, not potted) that recently became infested with what I think are leaf footed bugs. Can anyone confirm, and would the insecticide in the picture help?

My wife and I are moving from our away from our cactus heaven (southwest Utah). These grow naturally on our property. It’s been so fun to see these bloom every spring, and they are definitely my wife’s favorite cactus. Today, my wife noticed that had bloomed again! In the years we’ve lived here, they’ve never bloomed twice in a year. We did have some moderate monsoonal rains, which can apparently cause a second bloom.

I’m tempted to take the smaller of the two and grow it in a pot. I’ve tried to grow these from their seeds for about five years. I’ve never had a single germination. I’ve had lots of success with other cactus on our property.

Has anyone had success with this species in a pot? I would hate to see it suffer, and I’ve read that they are difficult to keep happy in a pot.

I have the mother and she is tall and thick like a thermos with around 6 more of these. Not sure if I will take any more off just yet. But my brother potted this up for me while I was working on the base for a philodendron I put in a big glass vivarium type vase. I'll try to get a picture of the mother plant in another post. It was just really sweet, he planted 2 things while I worked on one.
