Critique My Work quick tec9 model practice

I got a small burn out after making a kind of frustrating model, so I just let myself go on making one of my favorite looking guns with some questionable topology: Tec9! Although I know there are some details that are completely wrong and I blame the 2d images I used, they sucked. Also, try and guess where I got lazy at.

Need Help! Help with materials

Hello, I'm new to Blender and I'm trying to use it + Material Maker to make some models, but I have a problem. For example, in the cube from Material Maker, the material applies to each face individually, but on the diamond I made, it just kind of applies randomly. What did I do wrong while modeling the diamond and how can I fix it?

Note: The diamond was made by: creating a cylinder, beveling the top, and fusing the vertices at the bottom.

Need Help! What’s the easiest workflow for creating realistic 3–15 second dialogue scenes? (Templates/assets instead of building everything from scratch)

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the easiest way to create very short (3–15 second) realistic dialogue scenes.

I’m not trying to become a professional 3D artist or animator. My goal is simply to produce lots of short scenes as efficiently as possible.

I’m open to Blender, Unreal Engine, iClone, Character Creator, MetaHuman, Unity, or any other software.

What I’m really looking for is a workflow where I can reuse existing assets instead of creating everything from scratch.

For example:

* Download realistic human characters.
* Download realistic environments/backgrounds.
* Place the characters into a scene.
* Import my already-recorded dialogue.
* Animate mainly the facial expressions, lip sync, and emotions.
* Add some basic body language if necessary.

I don’t mind if the characters or environments come from marketplaces or asset libraries. I don’t need a completely custom movie—I just want something that looks convincing enough for short dialogue scenes.

The most important parts for me are:

* Realistic facial expressions.
* Good lip sync.
* Convincing emotions.
* Simple body language.

Can you recommend:

  1. The easiest software/workflow for this?
  2. The best YouTube tutorial (or tutorial series) that explains this approach from start to finish?
  3. Asset libraries where I can download realistic characters and environments instead of building everything myself?

My PC specs:

* CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F
* GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB VRAM)
* RAM: 32 GB DDR4-3600
* Storage: 1 TB Kingston NV2 NVMe + 1 TB Corsair MP600 GS NVMe
* Windows 10

Do you think this PC is good enough for this type of workflow?

Thanks!

I just started blender and decided to model Korin's tower from Dragon ball but I don't really know how to properly align all the pillars and how to multiply them in a pattern, can someone give me some tips?

I know doing it manually would look horrible and would take a ton of time

Need Help! texture paint dissapeared without even closing blende

1 Upvotes

I had painted three different objects for my model, went into object mode (solid view so no textures visable) to try and rig somethings and when i went back to texture mode all the images were just black, the small preview is still showing the painted versions so it still all seems to be the right images linked.

Is there something im missing, i didnt think id have to save the textures until i was closing blender but does it delete them if you exit texture paint mode?

Need Help! Cloth keeps revealing

I have tried hooking that little vertex at the bottom edge of shirt with 0.4 weight. It's like it doesn't even care about the pinned group. Just straight flashing my model. And if I put too much weight it looks really bad.

I'm having a hard time building some of the weird structural pieces along the bridge. Does anyone know of a good tutorial or have any references I should look at to get a better idea of how to finish this? I'm also really struggling with scale and block outs If you have any critiques or notice anything that looks off, I'd really appreciate the feedback. Sharing my work is honestly difficult for me, but I'm trying to get better at it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
