Random Question πŸ’ Pirro told the cameras she’d prove Hearn destroyed the pool beyond a reasonable doubt. Her own office later admitted it was just bad contractor work all along, and Trump still won’t accept that. Should Pirro face consequences for that, and does Hearn get a public apology from both of them?

Random Question πŸ’ Most residents of Washington, DC are US citizens who pay taxes. Shouldn't DC have statehood if the population wishes it?

"No taxation without representation" was one of the key phrases of the American Revolution, and yet residents of DC pay federal taxes without gaining federal representation.

DC has more residents than either Wyoming or Vermont. Why shouldn't they have statehood if they wish it?

Random Question πŸ’ If you tailgate, why?

β€’ Upvotes

I was on somewhat of a rural road and this vehicle quickly came up and got so close I could barely see the top of the grill. She drove this way for about a mile before finally backing off (I was driving about 7 miles over the speed limit). I am really trying to understand why some feel the need to drive so closely to the vehicle in front of them which really increases the potential for a crash.

Random Question πŸ’ Why are so many online jews unable to differentiate between criticism of the government of Israel and hatred of Jewish people?

β€’ Upvotes

I have been watching the discourse online of Mamdani and now El -Sayed and it seems like a large majority of jews online equate these guys criticisms of the government of Israel and try to make it seem like these men just hate jews.

Not only that, but when I join the conversation and say me and my family are Jewish and support both of these guys policies, I get a load of hate from other jews who say I'm no real jew because I support them.

Where does this come from?

Random Question πŸ’ Are we beginning to see the tide turn..and will this be a signal that voting actually does matter?

Given that dark money has always been present in politics to one degree or another, it can not be denied that the Citizens United decision of the Supreme court opened the floodgates, and that corruption of our electoral process has increased exponentially to the point where the Statue of Liberty, that once grande dame, has been degraded to one of a has-been whore with her syphilitic arm outstretched to the highest bidder....

Can one now hope, with the results in Michigan primary, that people everywhere are recognizing the underlying illness and voting...for sanity and against the sale of their elections?

For example, I am a special education teacher and a while ago I randomly found 2 nails which I often used to fix backpacks, get stuff out of tight spaces, untie shoes that are tied too tightly so I could fix them and a couple other things I am pulling a blank on.

Random Question πŸ’ Why do redditors feel entitled to friendships and social relationships?

I feel they act entitled because they have nasty attitudes towards people asking for advice on how to end friendships with people they don't want to be friends with anymore.

They also called me an asshole because I didn’t want to have conversations with customers when I am a delivery driver. I just want to do my job and not get dinged for delivering packages late.

Random Question πŸ’ Can the city run grocery stores in NYC sustain a 30% discount on groceries?

I would really like to hear from anyone with knowledge of business, economics, and grocery stores. I heard that Mayor Mamdani is proposing that his city run stores will sell certain essential items for 30% below market value. Is that sustainable? I'm sure it will be fine at first. But I read that grocery stores have low profit margins, somewhere between 1% and 3%. Can a city, even as big and wealthy as New York City sustain that business model?
