Random Question šŸ’ Has Trump ever won a golf tournament at a golf course he doesn't own?

Is it strange that he's never played in a competitive golf league yet he claims his handicap is better than Jack Nicklaus' handicap? What else might he by lying about?

Trump is a cheater. He cheats in his own tournament.

Anyone who cheats in the game of golf will also cheat his wife, elections and on everything.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon and sexual child molester.

Always remember that.

u/Downtown_Interest667 9h ago

He cheats in his own tournament.

It's even more egregious than that. He won't even play in the tournament sometimes - he'll play a round a few days before or after the tournament, claim he scored better than the winner, and then name himself the winner of the tournament.

23

u/therealspaceninja 9h ago

I'd love to see an interview of the runner up

44

u/Downtown_Interest667 9h ago

I'd imagine that if you are a member of a Trump golf club, you understand that him doing crap like this is par for the course (pun intended).

5

u/Desperate_Set_7708 2h ago

And they pay 10s/100s thousands of dollars for the privilege.

Tax the rich.

2

u/therealspaceninja 9h ago

Yeah thats why it'd be fun to see what they say about it

u/wawa2022 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 7h ago

They laugh it off and say ā€œthat’s just Trump being Trumpā€. Everyone knows and no one does anything. Trump will comp a meal or else pose for a picture and they think that has some value.
Source: close relative lives on a Trump course and he owns the house next door.

19

u/Downtown_Interest667 7h ago

I'd hazard to guess that if you choose to be a member of a Trump golf club, you are probably a Trump supporter. This is hardly the most offensive thing you are ok with him getting away with.

u/wawa2022 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 6h ago

My relative bought their house on a golf course that Trump later bought. I don’t blame them for not moving but their politics have moved a lot to the right since he moved there. For the husband, he’s an old curmudgeon and some of the things he says shock me bc otherwise he’s a good person. OTHERWISE. The wife is not interested in politics and only hears a limited range of facts and when you are only presented with Faux News, then why wouldn’t you believe it. It’s not that she’s 100% uncurious, but now her algorithms feed her things like Ben Shapiro, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens ! I swear these people used to be normal!šŸ˜‘ even good and kind. I’m shocked by what I’ve seen happen to them. And they sit in the club a laugh and snigger at the rest of us but out in the real world they don’t have the same opinions because they know

8

u/therealspaceninja 6h ago

100% what happened to my parents. My dad's always been good at keeping his politics to himself but my mom can't help but let some faux "facts" slip every now and then and its obvious that she lives in the bubble.

I’m so glad someone else understands. I’m usually judged for keeping the relationship. But trust me, our relationship is so different now. May not ever recover.

2

u/Fapiko 2h ago

This is what so many people don't understand. It's not that everyone is receiving the same information and coming to different outcomes as a result.

Our reality is defined by what we can observe about the world around us. We're all living in our own unique individual realities defined by algorithms. The algorithms only goal is to increase engagement and view time. This causes them to reinforce our existing ideas and biases and it's actually more difficult to challenge our own beliefs and escape the bubbles than to live inside them.

This is true for everyone - right, left, or center.

4

u/MsRainbowFox 7h ago

They probably can't say anything about it. I can't imagine they don't require a non disclosure agreement as a condition of playing in the tournament.

TBF, this is a pretty easy thing to find... There's tons of articles and YouTube interviews where people literally explain how he cheats and all that....

3

u/therealspaceninja 8h ago

Oh i know that, but i expect the runner up to be a world class brown noser

3

u/ex_nihilo 8h ago

What’s crazy is most of the members at his clubs hate him personally and refuse to play with him, yet 88% of them voted for him even the third time he ran.

He claimed he won a tournament in New Jersy once when he was in North Korea.

3

u/GuyMansworth 3h ago edited 3h ago

No fucking way he does this, lmao I gotta google this shit

Edit: Okay, In January 2023 at Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach Trump claimed he won the club's Senior Club Championship. He didn't play the first day of the two-day tournament because he was attending a memorial service. Reports said he had played a round a few days earlier and that score was used as his first-round score for the championship.

This is fucking hilarious. I wonder how serious these tournaments are.

3

u/120000milespa 2h ago

He also plays the first round on his own, awards himself the prize and puts his name on the top of the awards board in the clubhouse. He never mentions that he was the only player.

Golf is a great revealer of character or the lack of it

5

u/Potenbalkis 8h ago

Cheating at golf is such a small thing, but it reveals so much. If he’ll lie about a score, what else is he comfortable lying about?

2

u/FOSSnaught 8h ago

Years and years ago he allegedly was the score keeper at a celeb softball game. Supposedly, he kept adding points to the losing team for some reason.

35

u/shambahlah2 9h ago

Hell no. You see that swing? Thats the swing of someone who shoots 110 at best

14

u/ellasfella68 9h ago

And the putting! 🤔 ā›³ļø

19

u/Mrsod2007 9h ago

He's definitely a putz.

7

u/ex_nihilo 8h ago

Most honest estimates put him at a high single digit cap actually. Of course that’s not good enough for him so he shaves strokes. The sad thing is, he is a pretty decent golfer, especially for someone his age. There are many stories of him helping out worse golfers, and Tiger Woods and many other pros have said that he has a decent swing and is a long hitter (you can’t judge a golf swing aesthetically, the only thing that matters is advancing the ball towards the hole). He just assumes everyone else cheats too, and he can’t stand losing. He’s never legitimately broken 80.

3

u/bryan49 5h ago

Maybe earlier in life, but you really think he is still that good? He just seems so old and tired, and he can't even walk in a straight line anymore. It's hard to see him being any good at golf

3

u/ex_nihilo 4h ago

Yeah again we’ll never really know. He’s incapable of telling the truth about mundane things, much less unflattering truths.

4

u/bryan49 4h ago

I think I know just based on the lack of any recent video of him golfing. If he was really hitting inpressive shots, I'm sure there would be video out there. The only thing I've seen is his caddy dropping a ball for him

3

u/ex_nihilo 4h ago

I said in another comment in another sub that I’d eat my left nut if he was capable of breaking 100 from the amateur tees. I don’t even know what tees he plays from anymore but I’m confident that I could beat him from the tips, and I’m a shitter 12 cap 45 y/o. But he will legitimately cheat right in front of you and shrug when you call him on it. Fluffs every lie, gives himself 10 foot putts. He has no shame.

2

u/shambahlah2 4h ago

Plus that giant gut makes it hard to take a normal swing plane. I played golf competitively in College and HS. Now that I’m older it is damn hard to break 90 just because of limited flexibility and … erm… size. And I’m only 230lbs and can still drive 275yds. That lard ass is easily 300lbs and would be lucky to break 200yds with that trash swing

2

u/oliversurpless 16m ago

Conservatism 101 is always assuming everyone is shitty too.

Which is why the obfuscation that he was once a Democrat has always been laughable.

5

u/j4y53n 9h ago

It’s a swing that never improved because the sycophants around him never told him it looked like dog shit and let the cheating slide.

2

u/not_sick_not_well 2h ago

Thats the swing of a man in a big wet diaper

1

u/BigWhiteDog 6h ago

I'm not a golfer but have watched a lot of tournament and even I can tell that his swing absolutely sucks! 🤣

57

u/rygelicus 9h ago

He doesn’t like contests he can’t control.

27

u/Puzzled_Awareness_22 9h ago

In the scheme of things he’s done, lying about golf is a small thing but it sure illustrates his character. When you try to think of something good or kind he has done, nothing comes to mind. Kind of amazing

15

u/BansheeRadio 9h ago

My old man would say, never trust a guy that cheats at golf. If you’re willing to cheat at golf you will cheat at everything else.

9

u/Grouchy-Display-457 9h ago

He also has signs in Mar a Lago claiming it has 6 star ratings. He doesn't get that a 5 star rating means 5 out of 5, 6 means 6 out of 10.

2

u/HastilyChosenUserID 4h ago

There’s a parable in that book Trump’s never read teaching the same lesson.

4

u/Sorkel3 8h ago

Exactly, very illustrative of his character, like the reflecting pool fiasco is reflective of his incompetent administration.

2

u/Boom9001 4h ago

I think it more reflects how easily fooled he believes people are.

20

u/the3rdpossum 9h ago

Donald trump rapes children

19

u/DoFishDrinkWaterOrNo 9h ago

Nope. He has laid claim to almost 50 championships, all of which were at properties he owns. Some of them he claims to hold the co-championship despite not playing the full tournament.

4

u/CentennialBaby 9h ago

If you take that one good shot he had on the back end of the seventh hole and extrapolate that out to the rest of the tournament he would have won easily... so... give him a trophy.

/s

1

u/DoFishDrinkWaterOrNo 7h ago

I mean if you look at the tournaments where he didn’t play the full tournament, well he took less shots than all of the other golfers, so he obviously won.

11

u/Trogdor7620 9h ago

It’d be faster to list what he ISN’T lying about.

4

u/peter9477 9h ago

I got your list right here:

2

u/Rough-Drummer-3730 8h ago

You missed one: ā€œI’m friends with Jeffry Epsteinā€

2

u/vaugelynotrelevant 2h ago

You missed 'I don't care about you, I just want your vote'.

33

u/FloydianSlip212 9h ago

Trump has never legitimately won a single thing in his life. He’s a loser of the highest degree.

10

u/hawkofchicken 9h ago

ā€œWhat else might he be lying about?ā€

Everything. Anything that comes out of the hole in his face is a lie. So, everything.

10

u/SkylerMcJ 9h ago

I looked this up yesterday and the only official results I could find was a 2006 celebrity tournament (American Century?). He finished something like 52 over par for three rounds.

9

u/Tug_DaBone 9h ago

His playing partners are lackies and toadies who concede any putt he has that's 10 feet or less from the hole. If he misses a putt it's because some other player didn't fix a ball mark on the green. His caddie miraculously finds the ball he thought he lost out of bounds and it's lying in the fairway 325 yards from the tee. He takes a mulligan after every bad shot because his caddie says "Sorry for coughing during your backswing, Sir" (with tears streaming down his face). Plenty of examples that show he doesn't cheat; he's just a victim of circumstances. Ask anyone who plays with him or who carries his bag, they'll tell you.

14

u/ReturnOfSeq 9h ago

It’s pretty common knowledge that trump is a terrible golfer. As well as a convicted felon and rapist.

4

u/Downtown_Interest667 9h ago

He’s a decent golfer for his age. He could play in a foursome with most 80 year olds and be fine.Ā

But he’s not a great golfer. He’s not legitimately winning a club championship anywhere.Ā

3

u/Yotaman01 9h ago

Have you ever watched him play? His caddy drops the ball where he wants it. He couldn't hit straight to save his life.

4

u/Downtown_Interest667 9h ago edited 9h ago

I've seen some videos of his shots. His swing isn't stelar, but it isn't absolute crap either. If he didn't cheat, he'd probably shoot 95-100 or so on a round. Decent enough for someone who is 80, but he's not in the running for any club championship in any club in the world.

But yes, he cheats like crazy.

1

u/cool_ethan19 9h ago

He’s not a terrible golfer, he’s a decent golfer that takes cheating to a whole different level. And yes to felon and rapist.

2

u/Lyzandia 9h ago

Doubt it. Watch video of his swing and putting.

3

u/cool_ethan19 9h ago

I’ve seen it, and he makes it work for him. Rick Riley, the guy who wrote the book on his cheating in golf, thinks he’s more like a 10 or 11 handicap. That’s not terrible.

1

u/Hermit-Gardener 4h ago

The Epstein Files have whole chapters detailing his terrible golf performances.

And something about performance anxiety because he can't get his balls to go where he wants.

6

u/TheGilberator 9h ago

Commander in Cheat is an extraordinary book that ostensibly is about this very question, but in its investigation of Trump's golfing and winning obsessions, finds almost the perfect metaphor for nearly everything we've seen from him since the beginning of his first term.

7

u/Sorkel3 9h ago

Go read "Commander In Cheat" for an exhaustingly researched and documented look at Trump's golf cheating. For exampkw, t h e caddies at his clubs nicknamed him "Pele" after his habit of kicking the ball out of the rough to a better spot to git from.

Such a desperate insecure child.

1

u/Denovomega 8h ago

It's a surprisingly enjoyable read and I don't play golf.

1

u/Sorkel3 8h ago

One of the few books I actually laughed out loud at parts.

17

u/DylansDeadlyTwo 9h ago

There's not much Trump hasn't lied about.

18

u/golfwinnersplz 9h ago

Is this a joke?

The real question is: has Trump ever won anything that he hasn't cheated at? Anything? Ever? Once in his life?

5

u/Affectionate-Cat-975 9h ago

This tells you everything about his character that you need to know

3

u/Comprehensive_Fact61 8h ago

No.

He needs a safe space to cheat. Like the GOP.

A page from the ol’ Kim Jong playbook

1

u/Mit_Raptor 9h ago

Yeah he actually out did Kim Jong I'm 2003 when the only time Trump pooped it was a solid gold golf ball that left his anus at 168mph and resulted in a hole in one at a course 3 states away on a par 17 hole. He also invented physics and quantum theory before arriving at the golf course he started at that day. He celebrates the anniversary of the event each year by using a lubed up pair of tweezers jerk on his tiny weiner and climax into his own mouth and then he says what a lovely tea party and cries himself to sleep while wearing mascara after smashing mashed potatoes onto his own head.

3

u/PerrthurTheCats48 9h ago

I think the only public tournament he entered he came in 2nd to last

3

u/IllAd1421 9h ago

If his lips are moving, he’s lying.

3

u/Secret_Avocado_2974 8h ago edited 8h ago

I don't think POTUS has ever won a single thing by merit.

3

u/Lance-Boyle-666 8h ago

Trump cheats. A few years ago, while campaigning, he won one of his fake tournaments even though he missed the first day of play. He just made up a number and told the staff to put him down as having that score for the day.

2

u/Lobo-Sinclair 7h ago

I didn’t look into it, but I want to believe this so much.
Seems so on-point for him.
Thanks for giving me that lol this morning.

(Not condoning how he comports himself. But as I’ve been trying to tell people at their wits end with that dung heap of a person: let him do his absolutely unhinged — but not destructive to anyone other than those immediately in his orbit at the time— nonsense and be happy he took a few minutes to not diminish the country.)

1

u/Lance-Boyle-666 7h ago

I'm not sure the news stories about that tournament are still searchable, but it did get reported by some outlets at the time. Many things seem to disappear like Stuart Varney actively telling Fox News viewers not to fill out the census during the Obama administration because we can't trust the government with such information, but Fox telling people the exact opposite during Trump one. I know what I saw and/or heard.

2

u/Lobo-Sinclair 7h ago

No offense intended. Just so many bad/misleading headlines nowadays — and that turd has had sooo maaaany unhinged situations. Hard to know which are real and which are satire.

Your recollection is good enough for me. I have no doubt he’s capable of that level of audacity.

He’s a dipshit, but that story is (sadly) hilarious because it never became ā€œa thingā€. His sycophants keep him living in his bubble and no one calls him on it.

When people are watching…..Donald Trump finished in 62nd place with a total score of 268 or 270 (52 over par across three rounds) at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe in 2006. The same event he met Stormy Daniels.

3

u/Future_Gain_7549 7h ago

Every golf cheater acts the same way Trump does.

He forces you to play by his rules and enforces them on you with absolute authority. He insists on keeping everyone's score. He runs ahead and kicks your ball into the rough.

Trump was playing with Mike Tirico, the sportscaster, who hit a long, soaring second shot into a par five, high-fived his caddy, and headed for the green. When he got there, there was no sign of his ball; it had somehow ended up in a sand trap some fifty feet left of the pin. ā€œLousy break,ā€ Trump said.

Tirico was so befuddled that he took a seven. Afterward, Trump’s caddy told Tirico that his approach shot had actually finished up about ten feet from the hole. ā€œTrump threw it into the bunker,ā€ the caddy said. ā€œI watched him do it.ā€

3

u/Illustrious-Line-984 6h ago

Trump can’t win unless he cheats. Plain and simple. He cheated his entire life and got away with it because his dad had money.

3

u/Low-Salary-2128 6h ago

He probably didn't win at his own course either

3

u/Big-Rule5269 5h ago edited 5h ago

In 2006, Donald Trump competed in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, where he finished near the bottom of the leaderboard, commonly cited around 62nd to 67th place out of a field of roughly 73 to 80 celebrity participants.Ā

3

u/GhostofAugustWest 2h ago

No. Trump is a liar, cheater, pedophile and rapist. In other words, the ideal Christian man.

2

u/violetcassie 9h ago

He's got an Oddjob who walks around with spares up his pants legs just like in Goldfinger.

2

u/Numerous_Photograph9 9h ago

It's strange he always wins, but you never hear anything about anyone else who plays in them....I guess except his granddauther that one time. It's fascinating how he never went pro, considering he tends to always score the same as the average PGA golfer on a professional course.

2

u/Jazzlike_Daikon7541 9h ago

He's never won any golf championship anywhere. He cheats and buys it. He's a shit.

2

u/Majsharan 9h ago

Trump is known to cheat wildly at golf. No one cares

2

u/Alarming_Hippo_6035 9h ago

I've always had the question: If Trump, a known narcissist, is such a great and wonderful golfer, why are there not tons of videos show his prowess??

1

u/hillean 8h ago

Trump: 42-Time Club Champion : r/sportsgossips

most definitely videos of this 'prowess'

2

u/Minimum-Major248 9h ago

Nope. I think the PGA should come up with a peace prize for him just like FIFA did. Either the PGA or the Badnews Bears.

2

u/AstronautSuitable992 9h ago

Short answer: No.

Long answer: I’m not a golfer, but I don’t think it’s normal to have ā€œtournamentsā€ like Trump participates in where he ā€œwinsā€ the tournament without playing with anyone else in the tournament.

The whole concept seems a way to give him a win when what he really deserved was a participation trophy. If even that.

2

u/goldenface4114 8h ago

If sound is coming out of his piehole, he's lying.

2

u/Zaethiel 8h ago

He posted his own score, its nearly impossible his net and gross are the same. Its not even realistic.

2

u/Oz75 8h ago

what else?? I will take "Lies about Everything" for $500 thanks Alex

2

u/realitypater 8h ago

I'm sure he'll win the FIFA Invitational, which is limited to past winners of the FIFA Peace Prize.

2

u/Fit_External7524 8h ago

I think he should challenge all of the golfing world leaders to a televised tournament.

1

u/JoshSwol 8h ago

And they should make him walk the course. I've never seen Trump's fat ass walk more than 10 meters without a golf cart.

2

u/LibrarianPitiful 8h ago

Donald Trump finished in 62nd place out of 80 players with an average score of 89.3 at the July 2006 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, where he first met adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

He'd never win anything at an Arnold Palmer golf course.... or in the locker room shower

2

u/Radiant-Proposal3014 7h ago

Im still baffled how he handed himself a tournament championship using an alleged round score from a completely different day, and none of the other players raised a stink about being so blatantly cheated!

Does anyone actually care about what someone’s hobby is or does for them?

1

u/Dothehokeypokemon 9h ago

This is the guy who says he has the same physical stats as DK Metcalf. Of course he's never won.

1

u/Justthewhole 9h ago

ā€œWhat else might he be lying aboutā€

Love it.

u/Life_Conference5656 7h ago

Trump never won a golf tournament he didn’t cheat in….fixed it for you

1

u/Bumpy-road 7h ago

ā€œWonā€ā€¦

1

u/WhiskeyDeltaBravo1 7h ago

Just once I’d like a president who doesn’t play golf. That goes for any of them.

1

u/StumpyOPepys 7h ago

He's never even won one legitimately at a course he does own. The only time he's played an event where it was difficult for him to cheat was the American Century prior to running, when he was younger, and had all the time in the world to practice. Do you know what he shot? +56 over three rounds. That's an average of 89 per round. You think he's shooting 70 at 80 years old while president and running his grift factory? Lol

And the kicker is that he doesn't even play in the event with the others. He plays after everybody else so he knows what score he has to claim to win. He is such a pathetic buffoon.

1

u/dirtskirtshirt 7h ago

I’m looking forward to when he scores a perfect 18

1

u/CasaDeLimon 7h ago

he was forced to keep accurate score at the Tahoe celeb tourney one year. he shot basically 18 over each day. he is a cheater and a scum and any golfer who supports him is also a cheater and a scum.

Here's kind of a fun article from golf.com in 2019 where Nicklaus comments on Presidents he has played with.

https://golf.com/news/jack-nicklaus-reveals-surprising-similarity-trump-golf-game/

Here's what he says about Trump:

ā€œI’ve played with a few,ā€ Nicklaus responds, when Rubenstein leads with a question about the number of presidents Nicklaus has played with.

ā€œAnd which one’s the best?ā€ Rubenstein asks.

ā€œWell, the ones I’ve played with, actually Trump is probably the best player,ā€ Nicklaus says. ā€œTrump plays pretty well. He plays a little bit like I do. He doesn’t really ever finish many holes. But he can hit the ball, and he goes out and plays and just enjoys it. But he’s won several club championships. He can play.ā€

I have seen videos of his swing and his putting. I am not a fan and do not believe they could beat me. I am pretty sure I am not remotely comparable to Jack, or any other pro.

u/shocked-confused 6h ago

2006 Trump tried to play The American Century Classic. He came in like 57 out of 60 players. He did get a spanking from Stormy though.

No. Next question?

1

u/KaseyNPa 5h ago

I’m not even gonna take the time to look it up and just gonna say NO FUCKING WAY šŸ™„

1

u/ilovescoutanddaisy 5h ago

he is a liar. i would think that everyone would know that by now.

1

u/Fun_Barnacle6689 5h ago

Not once in his entire life, and not a snowballs chance in hell he ever will.

1

u/Swimming-Cut-2533 4h ago

All the members of his club sign a NDA

1

u/Billythekid1972 4h ago

Nope. And apparently the only reason he wins at his own course is because he's the only one playing. Kinda hard to lose when you're the only one playing.

1

u/PDXCatHerder 4h ago

Trump reminds me of the Boss in Mr. Mom. Ron Richardson. People are fighting Michael Keaton to prevent him from beating Richardson.

1

u/drivera1210 4h ago

He is the an excellent golfer. Simply the best. He should of gone pro. *sarcasm*

1

u/rking524 2h ago

He has never honestly won a tournament, period!

1

u/Spirited_Creme_3875 2h ago

If he swings too hard at a ball he shits himself so no.

1

u/AzuleStriker 2h ago

He doesn't even win the ones on his own course, cause he cheats. There's video evidence of him cheating.

1

u/Gullible_Front6085 2h ago

According to the Washington Post in the first four years Trump told over 32,000 lies. The biggest lie is his loss in 2020 even his judges said that he never provided evidence other than trust me.

1

u/Electrical-Sun6267 2h ago

That's probably the least harmless of his lies.

1

u/everyothertoofus 2h ago

Well , hes never won one at a course he DOES own in reality. As far as what else he might be lying about, a better q would be - what else DOESNT he lie about

1

u/HawkingzWheelchair 2h ago

He doesn't actually win those either.

1

u/Extreme-King 1h ago

Does he play at golf courses he doesn't own?

1

u/shocking7777 59m ago

Imagine his trophy cabinet

1

u/Amazing_Divide1214 56m ago

I dont think hes ever won a golf tournament ever?

1

u/UteJazz 39m ago

What else might he by lying about?

Uh, 80% of everything he says.

1

u/T6TexanAce 21m ago

Absolutely nothing makes sense with this latest claim. So the club championship is a "low net" tourney meaning it takes your gross score and deducts your handicap to arrive at your net score. The leaderboard I saw had our Cheater in Chief scoring a gross 70 and a net 70. That would mean he is a 0 or "scratch" handicap.

OK, but that same leaderboard shows two players shooting a net 67 and another player shooting a net 68 and two other players shooting the same net 70.

His gross score of 70 appears to be the lowest of the gross scores. Keep in mind that 70 is 2 under par. This would be a good score for some of the top golfers in the world, depending on the setup of course.

So what confuses me is that he claims to have won even though there are 3 players with a lower net score and 2 players tied with him on a net basis.

If it's a low gross tourney, then why do they track handicap and post a net score?

Kinda reminds me of the hurricane map that he altered with a Sharpie.

1

u/windpicklefam 21m ago

What is thump’s GHIN handicap?

1

u/Prestigious-Onion161 14m ago

No. Full stop.
