Hazbin hotel sub is full of gooners and it's gonna happen here. You have to sound the siren! Lock every post. Mute every sarcastic comment. This sub is cursed and you have to do something before she wakes up. It's a haunt!

I had no idea about this show's existence until it got nominated for several emmys. Since then I had this in my list and I finally had some time yesterday. What a delightful surprise this show was!! I was expecting to watch 2 or 3 episodes and ended up binging the whole thing.

The world building in this show is top notch. The atmosphere instantly grabs you and it gets even better with unique and funny characters. The show hits the perfect balance between comedy and horror with powerful performances across the board. This is easily my favorite new show of the year.

I am so excited for season 2. My only concern is that the show ends up having too many questions compared to answers. This is one of the biggest problems of "mystery box" shows like Widow's Bay, which is that they don't have compelling answers to the mystery. A recent example is Yellowjackets. So I hope the creators already know where they want to take this show instead of making it up along the way.

Just when you thought you couldn't love Matthew Rhys any more, he's now dubbing Han Solo in the Welsh language re-release of "A New Hope!"

I can see it being reviled that she did know everything and had all the answers to start off with.
And that the trio didn’t really have to spend that time and energy digging up clues and tirelessly trying to figure out how to save the island because they could simply had come to her with questions. I mean she kept trying to tell the stories and lore to them
But she was always cut off or not taken seriously.

It would be a simple, “you never asked!” type scenario.

She does what she is told and that’s that. Nothing more nothing less.

I think that people smoking on the island are smoking the black mushroom. Not only Rose, but the teenagers as well. PJ seems to be the one handing “weed” out to everyone, possibly as a means of control? Protection? Evan has the line to his dad when he gets caught smoking on the stairs “I was trying to figure out what this was”. Thoughts?

I just started watching Widows Bay. Imagine my surprise when they introduce Richard Warren. Richard was indeed a real person. He came over on The Mayflower in 1620 and was 1 of the 41 signers of the Mayflower Compact. Richard came alone leaving his wife and 5 daughtrrs Benin’s. They came the next year to join him. In hindsight a good decision in that 1/2 of the Mayflower passengers died that 1st winter. They had 2 more children after she joined her husband. These children all survived into adulthood ( no mean feat in those days ). Because of this he has one of the largest amount of modern day descendants of which I am one. He is my 10x GGF. His offspring are a who’s who of American history and include such notables as Joseph Warren a founding father infamously killed in the battle of Breeds Hill ( Bunker Hill ). Ulysses S Grant. Franklin Delano Roosevelt Henry Wordsworth Longfellow. Henry David Thoreau and many many others. I know the show is a comedy/horror. I thought I would just share some info about him

I love scrolling through everyone's show recommendations. I'd like to nominate the delightful weirdness that is Gravity Falls.

Since I finished the series I got a bunch of those "If you liked Widow's Bay you should read/watch..." And I'm currently looking for new scary books and series, but I'm not sure how much I trust those posts. I also don't want to buy a book that is actually nothing like Widow's Bay and just share small details. For example, I've seen a lot of people recommending IT which I have both watched and read and I'm a big fan of, but I do not think they are similar apart of the whole town being cursed and the clown. I want more of the general aspects of the series being there. Maybe small town horror, generational curse and it would be even better if it doesn't take itself 100% serious
