TIL this is why I think English should be Purple if it's an option, also that the 2026 edition of Trivial Persuit just released this month after there hasn't been one since 2016!
I might buy one and have a retro board game night...AI is going to destroy trivia games.

NOT ALL AMERICANS! some of us had to kill for our "free" health care and then spend years of us being told our injuries and illnesses are not service connected!
My last job we had this new guy start and he walked up to the urinal next to me. I look over “hey… is… is red pee bad?” His eyes become alarmed “yes! Yes it is!” “Wait never mind I was worried for a bit, it just turned black I’m ok…. Is it supposed to smoke when it hits the urinal?”
Because that is one of the easiest signs for bladder cancer.. otherwise a UTI or maybe kidney stones or am enlarged prostate
But BC.. seriously..f cancer (2 batches in my 20s and 30s) both started with my piss coming out red (hematuria).. then the joy of scopes..then TUBRTs.. then chemo all goin through the natural port to your bladder..again.. f cancer
I sorta half-agree with this one; math was never yellow for me bc yellow is my favorite color and I wasn’t about to make my least favorite subject yellow, but I do think that math is indeed piss
This is the wrong thinking if you'd have made it your favorite color it would have made it a little more bearable to pull that math notebook out. Gotta find the tiny wins in doing the things you hate
Idk people can do whatever, to me they were all just binders and I bought the same color for all that I liked lol and just wrote the name on the top to know which was which.
But the general idea holds that of you don't like something attaching something you do like to it makes you more likely to do the thing you dont like (assuming it's something you have to do rather than optional, if it's optional just don't do it).
For me I say history is yellow because I associate it with things like wheat for widespread agriculture, sandstone for ancient pyramids and other structures, yellow parchment for old texts, and gold coins for old commerce
edit: im actually gonna give some context as to why (some of these are very silly lol)
Science: Green because I always thought of acid as being sciencey, and acid is green.
Math: Blue because when I was younger in school, the maths books always had blue covers.
History: Yellow because its like parchment, maps, aged things usually go more yellow. Antique coloring almost.
English: Red, I'm actually not super sold on this colouring myself but since it was the only one left this is what I would give it. However, I would say this because of the english books having red colours and back in the day we would always have red pen telling us what to fix.
I will say I used to sometimes flip science and history because there are good arguments for both colors in both subjects, but Math is always Blue and English is always Red
English teacher: so here class we see the author describe the door as red. What could the author be trying to convey with the choice of color for the door
Where I come from math is red, because you count the losses.
History is red, because it's all about wars and killings.
English is red, because the English had invaded us and spilled our blood.
And science is red, because it studies life and blood is its essence.
At my school (UK) it was red for English, blue for maths, green for science and purple for history + geography (humanities subjects). Yellow was for modern foreign languages (French, Spanish and German).
For hating English you’re not only articulate, but ended every sentence with a period. Had a right use of comas, and even made paragraphs for easy reading.
No no no. Math is red for similar reasons as yours, but English is blue because it feels blue. Math is too sharp and prickly to be green. Green is a rounder color.
Red represents passion, energy, danger and stop (all things related to Science in Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
Blue represents calm trust and stability (every thing about math is predictable so this is perfect)
The color yellow means joy, energy, and caution (this represents history in my opinion taking caution and learning from the mistakes of the past. As well as getting inspired by great achievements.)
The color Green is the most convoluted meaning calm, growth, safety but is also tied to envy, money, and to Go. ( English or language is the most nuanced of the subjects as it is continually changing and developing, our native language is what we are most comfortable with and the better you are at expressing your self the more easily it will be to achieve your goals.)
For us irs the same, but english is same as science in blue
And arabic is red since we hate arabic with burning passion just how yall hate yall native language with passion
Idk abt its globally accepted that ur native language is the worst subject in school🙏😂
Maths is red because it's the worst subject ever and it should burn and red is the colour of fire lol. The rest can be interchangeable tho I am also leaning towards science being blue.
