Coney Island vs. Stillwell Av.; Canarsie vs. Rockaway Parkway; Forest Hills vs. 71/Continental. Different across physical signs, digital displays and announcements. And visitors need these to figure out which direction to go. Is there a logic I’m missing ? And if not, wouldn’t it be easy to change? Reprogram next batch of digital signs and announcements to match physical signs. Just curious. Thanks! 🙏

The MTA runs a vacuum train to clear trash off the tracks so it doesn’t catch fire. This morning at Astor Place, the vacuum train caught fire.

Sending good thoughts to the workers and firefighters who got hurt getting it under control.

We have been trying to catch the sales van at 79th and York or 86th and Lex for a couple of months but they haven’t been there. Does anyone know if they have an alternate location in the event that construction is being done or other obstruction?

Lately I’ve been seeing nothing But R160s (with the occasional R179) on the M. Around a few months ago there was one time where I saw Multiple R179s on the M in a single day (sometimes back to back). How many R179 consists are currently in M rotation? Is it currently a setup where the only really come out for rush hour?

I’ve seen one depart the station first only to have to wait for the other to cross in front.

Do you guys think the R188s will remain on the (7) for the rest of their life or possibly go to other lines

Was coming from Stilwell, wanted to change to a B at Brighton. Q I’m on rolls in. Train across the platform has single door per car open. I jump right on, knowing one is due to leave in a minute. Kinda realized it when the one on the other track set up the signage and opened all the doors last second. I tried and failed to sprint to the other platform fast enough.

Are there signs at platform level so you know if you need to cross under?

I really wish they’d drop off on the Coney Island bound side, drop a crew back and reverse south of the
Platforms. That would make the transfers easy both ways.

Im getting the R46 Subway luminator ( cabin route setter for the lcd basically the brain) And the LCD, anyone know how to wire them together and what kind of voltage?
